Official Newcomers Guide
New to RoW and need a little help knowing where to start?
Becoming a fully fledged RoWer is much easier than it seems — and this guide is designed to help you do just that. Joining a game can be a confusing process but we want to make it as quick and painless as we can for you. Follow the steps below to begin the joining process! Please note these links are only a small section of the game information, the Library holds much more.
Learn about RoW. The most important articles for you to read are 'Game Rules', 'Setting Guide', 'Life at RoW', and 'Life Points Guide'. All of these will give you a quick overview of the game.
Create an account. Next you can register an account! Fill in all the relevant fields pertaining to your character and yourself, making sure that your username is the first name of your character (e.g. Canis).
Plan your character. Now for the fun part— this is where you decide on the character you want to play at RoW. Read the 'Creating A Character' article for advice, or you can always adopt a character.
Request to join the game. When all of the above is done it's time to apply for the correct permissions to play the game. In your snazzy new account head over to the 'Join Relic Lore' thread and apply!

When filling in your wolf information only your character vitals are necessary to be accepted, however we recommend filling the rest in at a later date. Once you have posted your application just wait for a member of staff to approve you.

Getting settled in
Congratulations on becoming a RoWer! You application has now been accepted, your permissions updated, and as of this moment your character is listed in the ranks as a 'Lone Wolf'. This also means you now have access to more of the board — in particular, the OoC member forums. Below are some links we recommend to help integrate you into the RoW community!

A strong (though not mandatory) recommendation is to add more details to your profile if you have only previously filled in the vitals. Such as your wolf's appearance or biography, or even add further customisation and add an extra page to your profile. Read the article Creating Your Profile for any help! Alternatively, if you still have any unanswered questions feel free to get them answered by the RoW staff by asking in the Genius Bar.
By default on RoW your wolf starts life as a lone wolf, meaning that they are not part of any pack. How you then proceed in the game (e.g. join a pack, stay a lone wolf, etc) is entirely up to you and your wolf, depending on how they interact with other characters throughout Relic Lore. If you are looking to join a pack looking at the game statistics may help you make a decision. If you're looking for graphics for your character try either making a thread in Art Central or requesting at someone's studio who is offering graphics.
