Creating your profile
Looking to make your profile snazzy? How to add skins, new fields, and more!
Your profile is one of the most important parts of RoW — it gives your fellow RPers information about your wolf which can enhance their posts, as well as help generate ideas for potential plots. On RoW we only request that your character's vitals (e.g. their name, age and gender) are filled in, however if you take the time to add more details it shows you how customisable a profile can be. On RoW you can customise how your profile looks (e.g. add a skin, a banner, dedicated to your character) as well as add extra fields to include further data that there is not a specific space for (e.g. personality).
By default RoW has many fields that you can fill in about your character if you wish as well as capabilities for adding images to show your wolf's appearance as well. Using some of the html suggested below (see 'Customising how your profile looks!') you can also add new fields to suit your needs. On RoW you also have the option to use the 'extended profile' where you can create an entire new page and include on there whatever you like.
Tips to create a 'good' profile
— Keep it brief and to the point. Avoid writing pages and pages on your wolf and make sure you keep it easy reading.
— However be descriptive, imagine your writing an eye witness account on your wolf. Think key/vital details!
— Remember what you are writing about! Don't start talking about personalities when your writing appearances.
— Make sure your descriptions are clear (especially for appearances), avoid awkward, RP lingo (and ear's an ear!)
— Try to think what you would want to know about other people's characters and apply that your own.
Customising how your IC profile looks!
How to change your profile skin
As RoW has html enabled fields it means you are able to customise the skin on your profile page creating one to 'theme' your wolf. To do so requires the following css code to be placed in one of your html fields (e.g. the 'Biography' field), it can be placed anywhere in the field as long as it is kept together.

The above css is only a basic example and you are welcome to modify it further, for example the actual board (where the online list starts) can be lowered down by adding the following value to the css:

If you would like to add extra information about your wolf in a new section that the profile currently offers it is also possible to do so. For example a 'personality' field could be made or a place to store old/retired graphics. This can be added before or below the current Biography field.
Click to view an example of a new fieldThe field shown above can be added either in the location it is shown (above the Biography field) or can be added underneath. To add it above place the following html in your extended appearance section, leaving the bottom of the html without closing tags (these are already there for you). If you want it beneath the biography field, add the following html into your biography field. In both fields this html needs to be underneath any other content you have in them.
Customise your biography or new fields
There is simple html you can use to simply and easily customise how each of these fields look. For example you could add a small 'div' to divide the field in half and have content displayed in two columns instead of one main block of text using the following html.
This 'div' can be customised in a variety of ways, such as adding a background colour (background-color:) or adding the pawprint background some row's have on here (class="row5"). You can also add borders or change text colours or alignment if you wish.

Designing your extra profile page!
Your extra page is entirely customisable. The only area you cannot change is the maintitle which you need to navigate between each section in your profile. Once you name your new page to whatever you like it will appear on this navigation and you will be able to view it like your IC, OoC and Postlog pages. Anything you like can be shown on this page and it can be used for any purpose, so for example, you could keep track of your wolf's relationships with other wolves they have met, or keep it as a graphic archive for your character.. among anything else you think of!
To add a simple titlemedium and div for you to write in, use the following code below. If you want anything else designed for usage on this page (such as a table with specific columns or rows, or a particular layout) post these requests in the Genius Bar and a member of staff will get to them as soon as they can!
Want a easy-to-use relationship logger for your wolf? Use the following code below and edit it accordingly to suit your needs or purposes. Only edit the "row4" columns where it says either "wolf 1" or "wolf 2" and these are the columns you duplicate for more! Edit the "Pack name here" to add either a pack or lone wolf section. Copy from one to to duplicate a section.
Profile Shortcuts
In order to make things easier for you when creating your profile, RoW has created some custom shortcuts for you to use that will make things easier. Below is a list of all of the current shortcuts you can use. Replace "Name" with the name of the account you are trying to tag. Additionally, to remind you, there is a handy pop up on the editing screen where you can use these shortcuts that will display the shortcuts.
{Name} — Will result in a link to the character's profile.Additionally, if you want to style the various avatars, the following CSS can be included on the page.
{Name_full} — Will result in a link to a character's profile using their full name.
{Name_pack} — Will result in listing the pack that character belongs too.
{Name_rank} — Will result in listing the rank of that character.
{Name_avatar} — The 200x200 character avatar of that character.
{Name_tavatar} — The 250x150 character avatar that appears in topics.
{Name_player} — The name of the character's player.
{Name_playerav} — The avatar of the character's player.
{t_###} — This links to a topic; replace "###" with the Topic ID number.
