Creating A Character

Helpful information on creating your character and on how you join RoW and make sure your character suits the game.

Creating your wolf

Creating a character is one of the most important steps in the process of joining RoW. Without a character you won't have anyone to play. Sometimes it is hard to know where to start, or even to get the inspiration to do so and think of ideas, so to help you along we have a few suggestions that you could use to help you.

Creating a Name The name is entirely down to you — call your wolf anything you wish (a first and last name), for ideas try sites such as babynames.com and behindthename.com	Deciding the Gender Although your wolf's gender is your decision, we want to encourage you to check the wolf statistics and try to keep to the ratio of males to females even.
Deciding the Age Adult wolves are accepted from the ages 1 - 8 years. Puppies are not accepted unless they have been born in RoW, but you can inquire here for breaking the rule.	Choosing their appearance The appearance of your wolf is entirely your choice as long as it follows the appearance guidelines of RoW, and matches their subspecies.
Selecting the Personality Your wolf's personality can be anything you like, however to give you inspiration see the "Alignment" field details in your profile for brief ideas for your wolf.	Creating their history As long as your wolf's history is realistic (e.g. - no falling from space) it is also very much your decision, perhaps you could ask for a plot with current RoWers.

When you join RoW you also have the option of setting up a plot before you join, to give your wolf some further depth. For example you could request that it has relatives with some of the wolves currently here or join with some other prospective members. Alternatively, check what is up for adoption, maybe a wolf takes your fancy there? The code word for registration is 'ivereadtherules' (without the quotes).
