Game Rules

Every site has them: the rules of the game which must be followed for you to make the most out of your time here.

Out of Character Rules

Below are the rules that we expect you to follow throughout the board – whether you are posting on the OoC boards, taking part in contests, or even replying to posts or starting threads for your characters. Failure to follow them will make the game less enjoyable for you and others.

ROW PRINCIPLES
	Activity. Make sure you are able to post at least once every 7 days, and if this isn't possible, be responsible and go on absence or make a leaving notice for however long you need. A check is run every week and if you haven't posted your account will be removed and you'll have to rejoin.
	Civility. Make sure every person is treated with courtesy and politeness, staff or otherwise, remember: everyone's here to have fun, so treat others how you'd like to be treated yourself.
	Responsibility. Remember that your actions are your responsibility and no one else's, so if you act wrongly be prepared for the consequences.
	No Drama. Conflicts happen, we are human after all, but keep anything between you and another member off the site. Please solve any conflicts elsewhere and use PMs to contact staff if their assistance is needed.

In Character Rules

Most of the IC rules on RoW are rules that you have seen before at other role play sites - things that should go without saying. Just to help and remind you of them though, here is a short list of the things that we expect to be followed on RoW.

IC REMINDERS
	Just a Game. Remember that what happens in character should stay in character. Just because character A hates character B doesn't mean character A's player hates the player of character B.
	Control. There should be no godmodding or powerplaying unless permission is given by the appropriate player. This applies to reading other threads as well - your character can't know something just because you read about it in another thread.
	Posting. Please use third person when posting. Use he/she/they barked, not I barked. Also, when using graphics, please ensure that they do not stretch the board and are easy to read. The post requirement on RoW is 2-3 paragraphs. Be courteous to other members, if they give you 3 good paragraphs, do your best to match that.
	Character Limit. There is no official limit to how many characters you can use, but keep in mind that failure to remain active with a character will result in removal from the game.
