It had been months since his mother's death and exactly that amount of time since Draven had felt like he was truly home. He had stayed, clinging to his mother's memory and the wolves who had known her best, who she had trusted and cherished. Over time though this could no longer save him from his grief and slowly the place had become more and more poisoned until the pup could stand it no longer. Calanthe and Raela who has practically adopted him after losing his mother and his siblings turned on him had been able to somewhat hold his pieces together but now they were gone. Calanthe was missing and Raela had left of her own accord to go searching for his missing brother and had not returned when she had intended to.

It was upon meeting @Karina that the thoughts of leaving had begun to take root in his mind and now he could control them no longer. Without Raela or Calanthe he had remained loyal to the Crest solely because of his mother's memory but it seemed this wasn't the only place that her memory remained. Was it possible that his mother had touched many more people than he had ever known? The question had been nagging at him, keeping him awake a night and constantly pestering him during his waking hours.

He had to know. He had to know more about her and who she had been before he was born and what she had been like. Maybe if he found out everything anyone had ever known he could keep her alive in his mind and not just the fading picture he had of her face and voice.

So this morning he had left the territory at dawn and had spent a few hours laying within the glen that his mother had passed in, soaking up as much as he could of her courage. Then standing he closed his eyes and called out a song of goodbye. Round Stone Crest was his home no more, and he wasn't sure it had been in a long time.
