Like a thief in the night - Eek - Oct 31, 2016

You discover and unguarded cache and feast to your heart's content. Post rank challenge, keeping everything vague, vague, vague since I'm not sure BTP will still be around after it.

The only disadvantage to not being in a pack as far as Eek could see it, was the total lack of others supplying regular meals for you. That didn't mean that she was above sneaking back over the broken timber pines borders to steal herself another meal or two. She already knew where the safe caches were located, (and worst case scenario she would simply avoid the rabbits although all should be well and truly gone by now).

She didn't even bother to creep across the faded scent markers, only stopping for a moment to wonder how Iopah had fared since she last saw the woman (if she had managed to survive or not), and finding no pack wolves in sight she began her excavation.

Ooo yes, this was a good one! The recent snows had kept it reasonably fresh, she was delighted to find as she removed her first prize from the earth. It was swallowed down in a few quick bites before she moved on to the next, and the next, until the cache was picked clean and all that was left to show of her intrusion was overturned earth and a rather rotund wolf ambling back towards the borders. She would have to sleep this off somewhere safe, but at least it should get her through the next few days before she would need to find another meal.
