Turtles and Tools - Zev - Jun 12, 2017

The brute had a nose, a good one, right now it was lifted in the air seeking a scent that most good wolves would avoid, he was not good or anything that one might consider decent, but he was hungry. Some one had left food and he didn't care who thought they had claim to it, once they left it it was fair game as far as he was concerned. He followed his nose not even caring to remember where he was or how to get back to where he had been, not that he cared about those things, he might care should he blunder into some packs territory but for the moment he just didn't care.

He passed by soft spot in the earth, but not two strides away his nose brought him back around, then touched the earth, there fairly deep below was a half eaten carcass. It was meant to remain until the original owner had need to return for a meal, but they would not find it now, Zev made quick work of the dirt and brought to the surface the dirt coated food, He helped himself not even bothering to remove the dirt he ate it all, voraciously he had to make quick work of the meal incase the owner was a bear or something.

He yawned as he dropped the last bare bone into the hole, now he was thirsty and tired. He raised his head and scented a water source nearby and followed his nose to the lake, the sandy shore made his trek to the water's edge easy the last water source he'd been to had many slippery rocks around it.

Seeing the sand he began to wonder if there were turtles nearby, he missed his turtle bowl, he needed a new one. The brute began to sniff his way up and down the shore looking for signs of turtles.
