RE: Stinky business - Lenae - Nov 29, 2017

Cue the sudden rush to finish all Wm threads

"Let's do this"

It was true that getting rid of a skunk was anything but an adventure, but with her friends by her side it didn't feel like that. Together they could do anything! Finding some tempting treats for the skunk would be a walk in the park, especially if Odin's infirmary was as well stocked as she hoped.

"Lead the way Cyril!"

Trotting after the youngin, the trio eventually arrived at Odin's store of goodies and....honestly, rather stinky plants. She wrinkled her nose in distaste as she scanned the collection. Berrys tasted yummy, didn't they? Or maybe a leaf would do?

"Maybe we should bring lots of things, like offerings? Accept our gifts oh stinky one! Leave our den untainted!"

Yes, let's get this one finished.

[dohtml]

“Yes, we should hurry.”

They needed to get to Odin's infirmary and back quickly before anyone walked in in the skunk. The possibility of it spraying anyone was too great and Cheedo didn't particularly want to sleep outside the den until the stench was gone. She was comfortable in her spot next to the changer wall close to her pack mates. She didn't like change and the best way to keep from having to change things was get the skunk out as quick as possible.

“We're right behind you,” she told the pup after Everly had told him to lead the way. She knew Cyril was more than capable to lead them to the infirmary. After all it was inevitable of the first places she'd ever taken him after he'd left the den. He was a smart boy and this was a way for him to help too. “That might not be a bad idea. The more we have the more tempting it might be for him.” They were kind of desperate so anything they could think of could he a big help.

maybe 1-2 more posts from all of us?

He hurried over to Odin’s den, guiding the way just as Everly had insisted. They weren’t gonna let some stinky creature take over their home! Once they arrived Cyril scooted around, his yellow eyes searching to make sure Odin wasn’t anywhere nearby. Yes, lots of things! He agreed, his tail wagging frantically behind him. No stinky in our den! He chimed in, a big goofy grin pressed to his lips as he sniffed around for the best smelling plants. Anything to lure the creature away from their sleeping quarters. There were a few berries lingering around, and some other sweet smelling leaves. He shoved them all into the middle of the den, his yellow eyes glistening with excitement. Take some! Le’s gooo!! He wiggled triumphantly as he collected some in his mouth and stomped out of the den, past his comrades. Time to get ready of the stinky!

Hopefully Odin wouldn't mind. If he did well...they would have to explain the situation to him then wouldn't they? It was better that they wasted a few plants and berries then have a stinky den, right? Herbs could be replaced but the main den couldn't! Or at least that's what Lenae reminded herself as she picked up a mouthful of goodies.

With her maw full of greenery, she turned to Cyril and-tried- to grin, only to have all of the plants fall out of her mouth. Drat! Herbivores made this look a lot easier than it was. Though, honestly she'd never seen one smile let alone grin. Maybe that's why they didn't drop grass everywhere all the time. Either way, with an overly dramatic huff she bent down and, as gently as she could manage, scooped them up between her jaws. She had to be careful,  after all the skunk surely wouldn't want to eat anything that was all crushed and covered in wolf spit.

Hurrying after the pup, Lenae trotted back to the den, hoping their little plan would work wonders. Here's to hoping!

RE: Stinky business - Cheedo - Dec 11, 2017

Cheedo didn't see how this plan couldn't work. How would a skunk be able to pass up do many yummy treats over a frn that was much too big for it and smelled like wolves. She also didn't think Odin would be opposed to helping by giving them what they needed if it kept the pack from smelling like skunk. She felt confident in their plan as they reached the infirmary. They would get that they need.

Like Everly the small Agouti woman soon had a mouth full of plants either berries on them. She watched as the other woman's mouthful dropped to the ground. She made an incoherent sound and looked to the pup who also had a mouthful of plants. The last thing they needed was for her to drop her’s as well and they took longer to regather everything. She thought they should have plenty to lure the skunk out.

All they needed to do was get back to the den which all three made quick work of as she followed Everly end Cyril back to the den. Once there she dropped her mouth full in a place just outside the entrance hoping the skunk would take notice.

RE: Stinky business - Cyril - Dec 11, 2017

wrap up with the next posts from all of us? :B

He marched triumphantly back to the den, the collection of herbs dangling from his jaws. It was almost impossible not to drool all over them, but he didn’t care. It wouldn’t stop the plants from being any less appealing to the striped creature… he hoped! Once they reached the mouth of the den he watched as both Everly and Cheedo dropped their bundles by the entrance of the den, in an attempt to lure the creature away. Cyril dropped his own plants one by one, in a trail leading away from the den. Ooooh boy, his parents were going to be so proud of the three of them! Getting the smelly creature away from the den before it had a chance at making it even smellier! His body wiggled in excitement as he motioned for the pair to follow him behind a large boulder, where they could all spy on the creature from a distance…
