Prettier than a pink lady - Lenae - Oct 31, 2017

You've found a crop of apples, but they're floating in a nearby pond! Can you bob them all out?
Not a pond, but slow flowing water will do!

Lenae decided that she liked these woods. It was easier for her to slink around unseen when there were towering trees to hide behind. She loved the tundra and the sense of freedom it's open spaces provided but whenever she roamed them she couldn't help but feel vulnerable. Like anyone could be watching her. Couldn't the same be said for these woods though? She wasn't the only one who could hide, for all she knew some creep lurked behind the giant cottonwood trees

Lenae cringed as she shook her head. That was awful, why would she think something like that? Today was a good day, why did she have to go and ruin it?

With a renewed spring in her step she trotted along, weaving through the trees till she paused in her tracks. A soft, gentle sound caught her attention. Wasn't that nice? What could be more soothing than the gentle trickle of flowing water? She followed the sound, her ears tipped and her gaze curious, only to stumble upon an odd looking tree with a split trunk, as though some great force had carved it in two. Her eyes followed the line of one of its many branches, as it curved and dipped down, it's red leaves barely brushing against the water's surface.

And then she noticed the bunch of apples bobbing up and down in the water, and she couldn't help but grin like a kid on Christmas morning. Apples! She loved apples! So sweet and succulent, and fishing them out would no doubt be a fun little game. A grand way to pass the time!

Hurrying down to the river shore, she paced this way and that as she tried to figure out how to get them without soaking herself in the process. Maybe she could lean forward and-no, she'd no doubt fall in. Herm, it was a conundrum indeed but one she was happy to take the time to think through.
