Ataneq!

Éponine stepped out into the gunmetal grey of the morning. Her eyes roamed the territory surrounding her as she quietly judged the stillness of the morning. The rain had not lifted, and it pattered down on her head, thinned by the branches that hung over her. Many did not enjoy the rain and the aspect of getting wet and cold, but it was a welcoming sight for the young girl. Her fur was too dark for the summer sun and heat, and when the rain decided to come she welcomed it like an old friend, shutting her eyes briefly as she just let herself feel every drop that fell upon her backside.

It had hardly been a week since she had joined the ranks of Magnolia Glen and she had yet to find herself restless. Shaking the wet leaf that clung to her fur like a snood upon her nape she pressed out into the dim morning not expecting to find anyone out at such an early hour and on such a miserable day. Her tail wagged back and forth behind her, there were so many things she could do. Maybe start exploring the territory more and learning of the flora that she would soon become quite familiar with.

Her thoughts quickly shifted to her only friend within the pack so far, Ataneq - at least she hoped he considered them friends now. She was very grateful to him for bringing her here and now she was no longer starving to death. Her attempts at hunting were vast, but very few succeeded in much of anything. Chartreuse eyes followed the treeline around her in search of something interesting when she noticed a small brook running hardly a couple tail lengths to her left. The woman stepped quickly over to the waters edge and peered into its depths. If there were fish here she would be all the more suited for this territory!

ATANEQ TARTOK

The subtle thrum of the teardrops outside had stirred him early that morning but never did it cause a rift in his daily activities. Weather was no deterrent when it came to the things he needed to get done and clearly he had a lot of things he needed to do in order to prepare for the future. It was a future that he himself was not so sure of anymore. Ataneq expected that his mother was fairly busy as of late, scouting the surrounding areas and furthermore learning what Relic Lore had to share. Ataneq on the other hand was breaking away from what he thought was the usual Tartok tradition. He had always been quiet, reserved and focused on becoming a Warrior within his mother’s ranks but since he had met Lucero, he realized that there were other things to look forward to.

Cast into the adult ranks at the age of one, he had become intrigued with the lifestyle of the Glen wolves. It wasn’t too different from that of Tartok but it was much friendlier than he was used to. Not to mention that for some reason the ladies here he was able to look at in a whole new light. They had always just been figures that passed him by, never truly making him stop or question his relationships with others but there was a first time for everything. Coming here was a turn around, befriending Lucero had been the first step to realizing how awesome it was to have a friend… a friend that wasn’t also one of his brothers.

Next had come Eponine, who upon first glance he had never expected to become a friend at all. Maybe he felt as though he wanted to get to know her because she was attractive but never had he thought that they would be friends or that she would actually join the pack as he suggested. It had mostly just been a cover up so that he could get the doe back home but in retrospect, he was glad that she was here now. Here presence allowed him to see that maybe he wanted to stay with Phineas and Borlla when his mother left—he had friends and it certainly wouldn’t be fair to take them away from here if he did leave.

The morning had provided him with the comfort of silence aside from the ambient sounds of rain, leaving his chore to scour the borders seem less of a chore. On his way back he had even managed to catch a glimpse of someone moving ahead of him but he knew exactly who it was just by sight alone. It was the yearling he had invited into his home, the medicine-lady. No matter what she was always a sight for sore eyes and having been sleeping somewhat closer to her in the den was considerably soothing. “Now that’s what I like to see,” he murmured just loud enough so that it wouldn’t be drowned by the rain, “a woman that’s not afraid to get a little wet.” Inching just close enough to see her delicate face peering at the face of the Creek, he gave her a fitting, yet charming, smile.

Éponine had yet to really meet all of her pack mates, but by the scents and the bodies within the pack den it wasn't a very large group like a few she had come across. That meant they must have been a tighter knit group and it would not take very long for her to bond with her pack mates. She had met Borlla and Phineas briefly, but had yet to actually get to know them. What she really wanted was to introduce herself to their puppies and teach them all she could as well as play with them outside in the fresh summer grass under the watchful eye of their parents. She had gotten the best sleep she had in months the last few nights because of the safety and ease she felt being in the presence of many others.

The rain distorted her reflection in the water as she stared back at herself as if waiting for something to happen. She had grown a lot skinnier than she had remembered, but she was sure that would come back by the end of summer when she had grown back a little fat from eating on a regular basis. Her ribs protruded through her thin and sallow skin but she would round out again soon enough. Right now she noted her fur was decorated with debris and leaves from living within the forest and took note that she would have to give herself a thorough grooming after being out in this muck all day. She had thought she had rid her pelt of leaves and such when she shook the leaf from her nap that acted like a snood.

The sound of a familiar voice snapped her from her thoughts and her head snapped up in response as her gaze fell upon the obsidian male standing just downwind of her. A smile crept upon her face with a hint of mischievousness to it and she nodded in response. "I absolutely adore the rain, especially in these hotter months. How about you?" she responded, and as quick as she could the girl pounced towards him in hopes of tackling him into the stream her streamlined body bursting with energy and speed. She turned in the air quickly, shifting her footing to swiftly move from her attack at his side to come up underneath him and surprise him instead. He had strength, but he lacked the speed she had, and she hoped that this would be enough to knock him off his feet and into the water.

The tank-like yearling wasn’t too concerned with meeting all of his packmates, seeing as there weren’t that many. He knew Phineas and Borlla, his mother, Lucero, Eponine… that left the two puppies, Zia, Erebos and Inkheart. So, he had met fifty percent of the pack already. That wasn’t too bad of a start but there was no rush. He considered them to be adequate pack members just as his Alphas did and if they were good, then he didn’t mind. Besides, he was still a yearling and had much to do before qualifying for showcase his talents to other adults. He was mature for his age, but he also had a young heart filled with curiosity.

Similar to his curiosity to Eponine who was still somewhat of a stranger to him, but he didn’t really mind. All in good time, he supposed. When her chartreuse eyes gazed up at him his smile grew a little wider, noting just how bright they seemed given the dull hues of the morning grim. “I like the storms,” he answered somewhat plainly though wasn’t really sure how to elaborate on it. The rain, thunder, lightning… they were always welcome to Ataneq as they brought new things once it was over.

However, he didn’t really have a chance to mull things over before he noticed her sudden pounce towards him. Unfortunately for Po he had had many sessions with his mother which included fighting, sparring, and defensive training so he wasn’t a newbie when it came to surprises. Perhaps what he wasn’t expected was her swift attack on him. He might have missed the first few but her coming up underneath him left him resounding an “oof.” Though, it didn’t really cause him to flop over—just enough to stumble to the side and look at her. Perhaps it would have been more fun if he wasn’t so hefty but it wasn’t really a gene that he could easily get rid of.

She hit him, hard, but not hard enough as the boy had hardly budged, but the impact had sent her much tinier frame sprawling on the ground. She giggled happily as she straightened herself back out blinking up at the boy who hardly seemed phased by her attack. She had heard the oof, but other than that he just stared at her blankly. What was wrong? Her tail lowered between her legs and she thought she had done something wrong for a moment because he did not seem to return the playful gesture and just instead stumbled backward slightly and remained where he was watching her unblinkingly.

"Did I do something wrong?" she asked with a slight frown as she watched the larger yearling. The girl slouched, a little downtrodden as she felt like she had done something that was not natural. The thought crossed her mind that maybe she crossed some kind of line with him. When she had met him she had taken him to have somewhat of a playful side considering all the charming smiles he gave her. Wait, the thought had crossed her mind briefly, maybe he didn't know how to play? He did not seem angry, and he had not growled at her her tail dropped in a low wag, beating against the ground as she tilted her head to look at his amber eyes.

Éponine lowered the front of her body to the ground in a playful bow. Her hind end wiggled back and forth in the air as her tail swept over her hocks in a seductive and playful manner. A small growl built up in her throat as she continued to yip and bark at him before drawing her head back and giving him an impish smile ready to spring away if he took the bait.

so the last paragraph is like chalk full of sexual innuendos ._.

Apparently him looking at her with such a blank expression caused her to become confused, which didn’t surprise him. Ataneq was playful, just sometimes not in the right time nor did he recognize someone being playful with him until it was too late. Her surprise attack had indeed taken him by surprise but he didn’t know what to do. He was so much bigger than her… was she aware of this? The last thing he wanted to do was to hurt her in any way and by size alone he felt like he would squash her. “No,” he answered mildly as he looked upon her feminine form. Geez, she was so pretty… he didn’t want to rub dirt in her face even if she already had the water to mold it.

It was perhaps her movement to place her front quarters on the ground and her hind in the air that he gave a half-smirk. A monster buried deep within him purred, rolling in her charm and mesmerized by her bewitching eyes. Swiftly and without warning he sprang towards her with all his might and, in turn, forgetting the weight and size difference because there was something brewing in his mind. Po wanted to play with him and play she would receive, but it wouldn’t be anything she was used to. Ataneq had only ever fought with brothers and his mother, but a stunning she-wolf like herself that begged for play? He didn’t mind showing her how rough he truly was.

I LOVE it! :p

His response to her question might have been just as confusing to her as his reaction. If she had not done anything wrong why was her staring at her like that? She was not sure how to feel under his warm amber gaze as she bowed down to him playfully. The sprite of a girl watched him, her electric eyes dancing with a fire that had not been there in quite some time - since she was a puppy to be precise. That carefree feeling enveloped her heart as she watched him cautiously waiting for him to make his move. Maybe he did not understand her game? A smirk made her instantly change her mind and all she could do was grin as her body weaved as she stayed rooted to the spot.

She purred with delight as she attempted to roll out of his reach, but it was to no avail. She had not been expecting that after just thinking she had did something wrong. The male caught her off guard and she twisted in an attempt to reach up and nip him playfully on his shoulder. Before attempting to bound forward and splash into the water of the stream and out of his reach. All she hoped was that he would follow as her tail waved with delight behind her as she giggled like a little school-aged girl.

The monster growled in anticipation as he rolled towards her, hoping to tackle her to the ground and realize that playing with him wouldn’t be easy. Ataneq had always played rough and there was likely going to be a scenario where he bit her too hard if he wasn’t careful. He didn’t come from fun-play with his brothers, he came from hard-core fighting them. They played until one called mercy or they had other things to get to. Even in his mind he doubted that Po wanted to play until someone screamed mercy—she’d likely be bleeding by then.

Po sprang for her position, attempt to snap at his shoulder as she once more bounded away like a rabbit and splashed water to his face. This didn’t deter him, he didn’t even bat an eye at the intrusion of water (it was raining after all), but instead continued moving towards her like she was a house about to be bulldozed. Ataneq was a swift creature, if ‘swift’ meant entirely too big to function in a game of agility. Sure, he was speedy enough but his skill was based off of size, not speed. He could very easily pin Po down and she likely wouldn’t be able to get back up, but she could easily outrun him beforehand and avoid it.

Atuaserk reveled in this, gaining adrenaline as his eyes blazed with a hungry fire. Po had lit a wonder inside him that even he himself didn’t understand but he fed upon it, driving himself to growl at her. His growl was meant to be playful but instead it came out a bit more aggressive, and a lot more monstrous than even he realized.

As much as she loved to play fight, she was not a very tough girl to begin with. She put on that front a lot of times, but she had never had a really rough play fight to begin with. This would be an entirely new experience for the young woman as she watched his massive frame move with a strange ease for his size. He intrigued her and she almost thought she would not mind getting caught by him and so at first she did not try to run too fast, but as soon as he had grasped her in his paws she knew this would be a rough play then what she was used to, but a burning feeling in her stomach welcomed it and a low growl built up in her chest and escaped her curled lips.

She took the split second to be released from his grasp and bound into the water hoping that his large size would be slowed by the water. Yet he powered through it without even batting an eye as the water splashed him hard in the face. Her tail whipped the disturbed surface of the water attempting to splash more at him playfully as she bounded away. She had definitely misjudged his size because the boy was quite quick to his feet and she wondered if she even had a chance against him. She did not worry though, she was sure he would not kill her, the excitement from the fight was enough to drown out most pain even if he would nip her too hard at that moment.

Éponine shook with the thrill of the deep, masculine growl that rose from deep within his monstrous chest. She almost purred with delight as she dropped to her chest, her back end swaying in the air as she waited for him to come at her full force. Her body teemed with a sexual desire she was not used to, and she could feel every bit tingle like an electric spark throughout her entire body. Whatever that feeling was, she definitely liked it and wanted more.

omg awkward.

Ataneq liked her, he felt drawn to her. Even more so than he was with Lucy, it was just different than with Eponine. No doubt her playfulness drove him, fueling him to become more aggressive within seconds. He did not wish to hurt her, she seemed much too delicate and he likely could nip at her playfully and wind up drawing blood out of her veins. Even as he continued to splash water at his face and he trucked through the Creek, his eyes were trained on her. Nailed down on her lithe frame, but his resistance could not be quelled.

This creature was like a Siren but without song, she called to him delicately with her movements and within minutes his movement quickened. Another throaty growl ripped the rainy thrum around them, but his jaw did not close. Eyes burned dangerously as he approached her, gums visible to her eyes as his teeth showed themselves. A few more steps and he lunged at her, fully prepared to land paws upon her shoulders (assuming she would try and match him) so that he could push back and put her to her back.

In that scenario, he would then put his face in front of hers and snarl, likely saliva would be seen dangling from his mouth as he opted to snap. Monster within him was enraged like a savage, growling with the anticipation of a kill as the prospect of play changed drastically. Even with the urge to throw his menacing jaws upon her neck he halted, his heart was racing and his body begged him to take it. Ataneq closed his jaws but he didn’t back away or allow her space to remove herself, because he had control.
