Whitestone Monadnock Swan's Song

Star gazing, she'd talked about it with Piety and of how she would have to try it. Now that Cyril was a bit older and in the communal den Cheedo found she had a little more time to herself. The night was clear making it easy to see the stars from the Monadnock. It would be a perfect night to lay outside the den and look up at the sky. So she slipped out of the den quietly as she could and found herself a good place to look up at the sky.

For a few moments she stood staring up at the stars that filled the sky bit thought better of that. A more comfortable position was in order so the small agouti lay first on her stomach before rolling onto her back. Quickly she found that this position was much better, so much so she could start to make out shapes. She of course out of curiosity wondered what they might be called but she was content to just look at them and memorize them for now. Cheedo that next time, when Cyril was bigger of course, she might drag Piety out with her to tell her the names.

She hadn't been lying there long when her mind started to drift as she looked up at those twinkling stars. Her pups had been on her mind a lot lately and she knew it was because of little Cyril but she found that it didn't hurt so much thinking about them. It still did some of course and probably would but she wondered if the pup might be helping her somehow.
