For @Cyril this round then poor @Lenae next.

He had wasted no time in rising with the sun, wishing to confirm his suspicions that had only arisen on his third or fourth journey up the goat track. Someone was occupying the coyote den (again) and as much as he still felt it made a better clubhouse for kids than temporary holding cell, he saw an opportunity to bond with his maybe baby brother, (especially if like @Wraith had said, he managed to somehow get Kara's love of trouble). Knowing the leaders were unlikely to lay about only added fuel to his fire, making straight for the lake at the bottom of the Monadnock, hoping to snag something extra slimy. Maybe even another one of those eels the siblings had unwittingly tortured to death.

As luck would have it, he managed to snag himself a lamprey which he set aside for @Cyril and also one of the less than wary hoppers, that had seemingly grown complacent in his absence. He gathered up his catch and merrily made his way back to the top of the rock, stashing his ammunition and hoping to find the little guy without a knowing escort at this hour of the morning. "Hey buddy, wanna play a game? I promise th' grown ups love it! We used ter play it all the time..."

Oh butter wouldn't melt.

Cyril Kael-Santoro

Cyril had intended on exploring some of the monadnock without having to shadow an adult. Both his mother and father had slipped away in the early hours of the morning, tending to their duties and leaving Cyril to entertain himself.

However, the Whitestone prince had not been expecting a visitor.

His ears twitched at the youthful voice, his eyes blinking lazily in the direction of the speaker. Buddy. He frowned. Despite his parents having a history with the one-eyed newcomer Cyril did not. He knew nothing of the dark wolf and certainly was not his buddy.

Buuuuut the idea of a game was far too tempting to refuse. So the boy removed himself, sluggishly, from the floor of the den and shuffled toward the entrance, greeting the morning sun through narrowed brows and slitted eyes. His nose wrinkled in Odin’s direction as his head fell to the side, curiosity bubbling within his chest as the yearling’s words echoed in his skull. A game that adults loved? How could that possibly be any fun?! As he stepped away from the abandoned coyote den he studied the dark male with a raised brow, unsure of whether or not he could trust him and his game. Instead of letting words drip off his tongue Cyril remained quiet in hopes that @Odin would elaborate further. He wasn’t trying to get Cyril in trouble, was he?

I hope @Cyril picks up the lamprey and slaps him with it.
Where have all the good guys gone?

The lack of a response from the pup hardly phased the yearling as he motioned over his shoulder and back towards the stashed suprises. The toad was trying to beat a hasty retreat, not quite being done for yet, but Odin expertly stopped it with a paw on its back as he turned to explain to the younger wolf just why this was okay. "Me an' my sister used ter play this one all the time. Yer ma liked it a lot, I thought we should play with the new girl - she's gotta be lonely down in that den, maybe if she know we wanna play, she'll come up here ter see us?" After all, the last one to live there had left once she'd finished leeching what she wanted from them, surely this one would do the same if she didn't move her butt up here with everyone else sooner rather than later.

Scooping down to pick up the toad, he moved towards the edge of the cliff allowing it to dangling from his jaws by a leg, "Now, yufsee, yerswingitlikedis... an... dop!" The toad swung down and into the entrance of the den below, "Quick! Go!" he encouraged with a wide smile, it was all completely harmless fun, nobody was going to die from having something a little slimy dropped on them now were they?

His frown only deepened as he watched the one-eyed yearling stomp his paw down on the wiggling toad, his yellowing eyes narrowing as he listened to explanation that came tumbling off the Archer’s tongue. Ma liked it? Then why wasn’t she here? Or had she sent the dark male in her place? Huh. Odin wanted him to throw these slimy creatures into the den… how was that supposed to make the new girl want to come out in play? His brows pinched together at the suggestion, but he remained silent, his ears tipped forward. Despite the encouraging smile Odin wore the smudge wasn’t buying it. Being hit by something gross and slimy didn’t seem fun at all and he didn’t want to upset the newcomer or his mother. There had to be a better way at getting the tawny girl to come out and play with them.

The jumble of words from Odin’s mouth was different to understand, causing Cyril’s head to fall from side to side. Swing it? A brow arched high into his forehead as he watched the toad go sailing down below, presumably onto Odin’s poor victim below. Quick! Go! Okay, buddy. Without a word the boy leaned forward and grabbed a long, slimy creature from the Archer’s stash and swung his head back to ensure he got the perfect angle. With a devious glint in his eyes the boy flung the creature forward, but he was not aiming for the den below. No—he was aiming for the centre of Odin’s forehead.

He should have seen it coming. After all, it wasn't like @Wraith hadn't warned him that the kid had some of Kara in him (however that worked). His grin was wide as the boy moved to pick up the lamprey, and in a very similar move to one he had used himself down by White Fir Notch the slimy thing swung around and smacked him right across the snout.

He momentarily looked shocked before bursting into a fit of laughter, bowing down to playfully slap the ground in warning as his tail waved high. "You got me real good kid!" he praised with more laughter before swinging his head down to pick up the long slimy where it had fallen, "Buf naow I'm gon'gitcha back!" He warned with mirth glinting in his single eye, his head swinging in a similar fashion to what the boys had just moments before. He was, however, well and truly out of practice and the battered lamprey flew clean over the younger wolf's head. "Oh! looks like it's your turn again." He encouraged with a wave of his tail and another thump of his paws against the stony earth. He might actually try to avoid the next toss if it didn't come in on his blind side.

Lenae Selwyn

Lenae felt more than a little bad for hiding away like this. But she was just so tired, both physically and mentally. She knew she wouldn't get any better, wouldn't feel any more at home if she didn't try and push herself out of her comfort zone. But the mere thought of facing the big wide world made her heart hurt deep in her chest, and her thudding headache from a few sleepless nights wasn't helping matters either.

A little rest wouldn't hurt, surely? She would get up eventually, maybe in the afternoon, but for now she intended on sleeping the rest of the morning away. Maybe then she would go out and say hello, or at the very least show her face and wag her tail a little. That was probably the best she could muster at this point. She was so very very tired. Her eyes hurt.

Curling up into a tight little wolf doughnut, she thought nothing of the voices coming from atop the summit. Knowing there were others about was both reassuring and a little frightening, but mostly the former. Wraith and Piety had said she could stay here, so they were good wolves too, right? Surely they had to be.

She hoped so, anyway.

A shudder ran down her spine and she hid her face beneath the fluff of her tail. The more she worried about it the worst she felt, so shouldn't she make more of an effort not to worry? Ah, like it was that easy, Like anything was that easy. She sniffed-definitely not trying to hold back the sniffles- when something landed on her back with a wet thud. She froze for a long moment, her eyes wide open in terror as her mind raced.Oh, what was that? Get it off, get it off! But she was too scared to move, like the weird wet thing had infected her with some sort of paralytic.

And then the thing, whatever it was, moved-hopped really- and a wave of repulsion smacked into her like an incoming storm. It was either stay in there with that gross, awful, whatever it was, or slink out like the coward she was.

Lenae, with a meek whimper, chose the later and crawled out on her stomach into the morning light. Could today get any worse?

When the lamprey met its mark the boy almost shrieked with excitement, but he bit his tongue instead. He did not know how the older Archer would react. Did he know that he had done it on purpose? Would he scold him for it—maybe tear off a piece of his ear or tail as punishment? He swallowed, hard, awaiting the sharp words to roll off the one-eyed male’s tongue, but they never came. Instead a fit of laughter consumed the older boy, his tail wagging high above his thick frame. Pardon?! Cyril was completely dumbfounded, but he struggled not to let it show. This was good, he assured himself, as he offered the older male an apologetic laugh in return, he’s not mad.

However, he was not expecting the yearling to chuck one back in Cyril’s direction, narrowly missing the top of his head as he crouched down against the cool ground. Yikes! Sticking out his tongue in response Cyril started to think that this boy wasn’t sooo bad, even if he had called him buddy and was a bit of a bully. His nose wrinkled. He still wasn’t entirely convinced, though.

Oh! Looks like it’s your turn again. A wicked smile stretched his lips back once more as he reached for the yearling’s stash and selected an especially slimy critter. He did not know how good his luck was going to be a second time around, but it was certainly worth a shot. He could hear the female stirring below and he desperately prayed that the creature would not strike her, for he did not want to leave a bad impression on the newcomer. So with the slimy critter tight between his teeth Cyril flung it forward, aiming for anywhere on the ebony yearling in hopes it would hit him and not the girl below.

feel free to have the lamprey hit either @Odin or @Lenae <3

The boy didn't seem certain about his actions, his laugh holding a nervously apologetic edge, but they could work on that. Odin was pretty much a stranger at this point, an unknown entity and he'd have to work to build a rapport with the younger wolf. Compared to others in his family he was a bit of a free spirit, happy to go with the flow as long as it suited him.

He wouldn't push the issue beyond his initial gentle encouragement, watching and waiting as Cyril's face lit up and he moved towards the stash of critters Odin had gathered for their game. This time he wasn't going to be taken by surprise, ducking at the last possible moment to allow the projectile to fly over his back. His mouth opened in a startled 'O' as the sound of something slimy hitting fur filled his ears. His tail dropped and his ears folded flat for a moment, half expecting to turn and see either @Wraith or @Piety giving him a disapproving glare.

Instead, he looked over his shoulder, a strangled snort of laughter leaving his throat as his eyes fell on the newcomer, (well she'd been here longer than he had but she was new to him). His ears picking up and his tail waving once again. "You gonna pick it up an' throw it back or what?" Completely carefree despite the fact the odds were no doubt quickly stacking against him.

Lenae Selwyn
Yet again, Lenny has some troubling thoughts. Gingerly touches upon a sensitive topic.

It seemed as though Lenae was asking for trouble, that by wondering if things could get any worse, she was inadvertently tempting fate. She merely wanted to be left alone, to wallow in pity in peace in quiet. Was that too much to ask? Apparently so.

She was still huddled on her stomach, not far from her dens entrance when she was pelted with something wet, stinky and slimy. Lenae had learned the hard way not to cry. That it often made the situation all the more worse, that it was easier if she suffered in silence and just let it happen. She bit down hard on her lip as she squeezed her eyes shut. With her ears pressed so tightly to her skull, she didn't pick up on the voice above her. For all she knew it was a spectre from the past, taunting her and dredging up those awful moments she longed to forget.

But the voice wasn't quite right, nor the same as before. Not as rough or as sleazy just...a young man who had little care for her.Seemed as though things hadn't changed too much then, she was familiar with this sort of treatment.

For a long, heavy moment she wasn't sure what to say or do. The long, smelly thing still laid on her back, but as much as she wanted it gone, she wasn't really in the mood to throw it back. It might have seemed like a harmless game in his eyes but...as things stood it was anything but to Lenae.

She hadn't even properly met the boy but Lenae's mind was already made up. As far as first impressions went, there couldn't possibly be anything worse than this.

"I-I don't...I don't want to play with you. Please...I haven't done anything to you."She murmured, as she held off the whine threatening to pass from her maw.
