Piety Santoro
For @Jessie || Late afternoon, cloudy, in between WM and WRF

The pale mother had left her son in the care of her husband (@Wraith) and Everly (@Lenae). A gentle kiss had been planted on his head that morning and a mention of a small trip had been made to Wraith the night before. The Monadnock, while a rather large home, still felt small and constricting sometimes. She undeniably missed the times when she could scout out the lowlands with ease. Giving a word to Morganna or Craw before slipping out of the pack's confines. Now she had a child, a husband, and a whole pack to look after. Even if their numbers weren't big she certainly wasn't going to neglect any of them due to her wandering paws.

She had headed south with no real goal in mind. Piety figured she might be able to try and find some herds for their upcoming pack hunt. Another thing that needed to taken care of. A soft sigh left her lips as she kept up a brisk jog through the barren lowlands. It seemed the land grew more lively the most south she went. The views were better up close than on top of the monadnock. Granted with all the fog that had been consuming them lately there wasn't very much to see from the top of her home. At least it had managed to clear up some today. The sky was still littered with clouds, making her wonder if they were due for a later summer storm.

Jessie Tainn

The Rye Queen was desperate for some time alone. The encounter with the Hearthwood wolves on her borders, along with the punishment she had needed to dish out to Askan and Reyes afterward, left her mentally exhausted. With the knowledge that all of her children and Risaela were safe within the borders, the Tainn had set out for the day, thankful for some time to herself. Paw steps fell lightly on the earthy ground, nose pressed to it in search of prey. That was what they needed really, a pack hunt. It was something that Jessie could participate in and enjoy.

The woman had not encountered any luck thus far and was beginning to get discouraged when a familiar scent caught her nostrils. Head snapped up from its bowed position, narrowing at the empty lands in front of her. Whitestone Monadnock. She was nowhere near their neighbor’s borders, but it seemed that she had, indeed, encountered the halfway point between them. It was hard to miss her when she came into Jessie’s line of view. Jaws parted to issue a barked greeting, tail swaying neutrally behind her.

When the Field members discovered that the alphas of the Monadnock had left, a sense of peace had flooded over them. Especially, when Wraith had shown up on their borders, informing them that they wished for some sort of peace agreement. It had been a relief to Jessie, there was nothing she wanted more than to have good relations with their neighbors. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if Morganna or Craw came back. For now, Jessie would just do her best to strengthen their relationship with their neighbors.

Piety Santoro

She had not been expecting company but that did not mean the small female was unwelcomed. Piety gave back her own gentle call as she closed some of the distance. Per usual she made sure to leave enough ground between them to allow the female her own personal space, out of respect and unknowing. She smelt of the Rye and while they were on good terms Piety had not personally met many of the wolves from their neighboring southern pack.

"Hello there! Piety Kael, leader of Whitestone Monadnock." Her head motioned back towards the looming figure in the distance. Her name and title were a greeting that rolled off of her tongue with ease and practically by instinct now. Who would have thought she would have grown comfortable with her given position. "Who might you be?" Best to get introductions out of the way before Piety tried to inquire further. Like what she might be doing out here or if she could be of any help. Even if this wasn't the Whitestone's territory she was still interested in the going on around her home.

Maybe if Wraith was here he would have been able to inform her of who exactly she was face to face with...

Jessie Tainn
The woman offered the Monadnock lady a polite smile as she offered her name. The greeting she received now was a welcome far cry from the one Jessie received when she had met Morganna and Craw, not that she was complaining. Emerald eyes took in the new leader of their formal rivals before her eyes trailed back to the area where she mentioned. Of course, the Rye Queen already knew of which Piety came, having traveled there before, but it was quite clear that the two female alphas were not well acquainted with one another. Just as Piety’s title had rolled off of her tongue like it belonged there, Jessie’s did much the same way. ”Jessie Tainn, leader of Wild Rye Fields. It’s a pleasure to formally make your acquaintance.”

The woman had been mentioned at that meeting - when Wraith had come to inform the Rye of the shift in leadership. Jessie thought it was important to strengthen their relationships with their neighbors, especially taking into consideration their less than stellar past with them.
