Odin Archer
Where have all the good guys gone?
Odin Archer

Despite the interruption by the sudden appearance of an unexplainable blood stain right next to where he had been sleeping, Odin had slept surprisingly well. He didn't want to be hollering at the borders before sunrise, even if the stones did look best with the first light of the day (and he may or may not have been trying to get an extra night of company out of Kip), so he waited until mid-morning before heading back to the Monadnock with his companion in tow. If he'd timed it right, one of the leaders would be on their way to do the rounds shortly and they wouldn't have to wait too long, so he tipped up his head to call for @Piety or @Wraith, noting that he had company and was requesting their presence. It may have been an outlandish request but he was going to make it anyway, besides maybe a day or two with the pack would be all it would take to convince her to stay.

Odin would be keen on his timing today. It was the pale leader that would come upon the large Archer. A smile tugging at her inky lips while her tail naturally raised. His request had been one of interest so she would not keep him waiting. Of course, before anything would be said she'd move forward to nip at his cheek with affection.

"Found someone slinking through the tundra?" A pale brow raised almost in surprise. She figured most loners were starting to settle or at least get out of this barren area. Perhaps the monadnock would see an influx of members in those who did not make it through the north in time. Better than nothing she supposed. Loyal members were welcomed more but she could not turn away willing bodies in the cold months - even if it meant more mouths.

Wraith Kael

Odd... Wraith paused in his own patrol when he heard Odin's howl and frowned. Where had that rascal picked up a stranger? Not that he minded - in fact, just the opposite. With winter on the horizon and approaching the Lowlands faster than the rest of Relic Lore, they could use another hunter. At least, he hoped it was a hunter. The male wasn't one to turn away a wolf in need, but it would be a lie to say he didn't prefer someone capable and useful rather than a simple mouth to feed that could offer nothing in return.

As he reached the area, he shook his head. Piety was already there - his mate was a fast one! He was lucky in that, too. His co-leader was ever ready in her duties and did well to break the ice with others whereas his size often seemed to put strangers off at first. Wraith woofed a low greeting and brushed along Piety's side naturally as he moved to greet Odin with a pleased touch to the forehead. His amber eyes were inquisitive and a bit mystified, but he could wait for the explanation as to how he came across his companion.

She was a pretty little thing with brilliant blue-green eyes. Even next to Odin, she looked dwarfed. But Wraith knew better than to judge a wolf's worth by their size. He dipped his head in friendly greeting to the female. "Welcome to Whitestone Monadnock, Miss..." he trailed off, waiting for her to fill in the rest.

Mavis Kipley
Now that she was there, present with these wolves, Kip couldn't help but feel a bit... awkward. The night spent with Odin had been fine, but she wasn't used to being around more than one wolf at a time. Unless, of course, you counted kids - the little dragon and his bodyguard had been a fine example of that. But that was a different situation entirely. This - here and now - was surrounded by bigger, high-ranked wolves in a pack she had never met. A pack on a rock that allegedly sparkled.

Damn her unending curiosity and need to see things for herself.

She held still as the two alphas approached - the female first, and then the male - and hadn't felt quite so small in a while. Her tail, without her even thinking about it, curled around one hock as they walked up, and she lowered her head slightly. "Um, I'm K-Kip," she greeted with an attempt at a smile, hating the way her voice cracked at around the middle of her sentence.

Great way to make a good first impression, Mavis. Good going.

Odin's lopsided smile filled his face when Piety approached and he wasted no time leaning into her nip and pushing his nose under her chin in greeting, "Nah she doesn' slink, she stomps a bit like ma' does," he responded teasingly, though it was true that there hadn't been much... slinky about Kip in the times that he had encountered her.

His attention was pulled to Wraith, greeting him in much the same manner he had greeted Piety before moving back to give Kip a playful shove, she needed to calm down. "I was tellin' her about the way the rocks up top sparkle first thing an' she wanted ter know if she could check them out." He tried to throw a glance to the leaders to let them know that she was flighty, but he personally thought that once she saw them she'd never want to leave. Was he trying to recruit her? Of course, he enjoyed her company, she was close to his own age and fun to be around, but he already knew she was a hard sell, and it'd probably take a bit more than dragging her to the borders to convice her to stay.
