Neha Vuesain
This is a read only thread detailing Neha's departure from QV, after learning of Sachiel's disappearance.
Backdated to September 30th.

A long, heavy sigh escaped Neha's maw, chocolate brown eyes staring emptily towards the never ending, look alike maze of orange trees. The Vale was where she tried to start anew, where she made many memories with Draven and her son, Sachiel. Their precious boy was raised here, in amongst the trees he so despised. And yet, for the trio, this place had never been home. Not really.

Everything was so different. It was not the same place it had been, when she had been welcomed into the young pack, with Draven at her side, as a mother to be. Sahalie and Kino were gone, along with some of the others. Worst of all, Sachiel had vanished without a trace, without a word. The panic and fear that struck at her heart was too much to bear, not knowing what dangers her little boy faced in the wild, alone. Shortly before their sons scent faded from the Vale, the dark Leigh had laid out the truth for her, settling his feelings...or lack thereof, once and for all. There were no more questions, no more what ifs. Just a quiet acceptance of what was, while her heart slowly iced over from the inside out. She thought she could have handled it, managed as long as her son was by her side, to raise right and not make the stupid mistakes she did. But he was there one day, and gone the next. That's what tipped the young mother over the edge.

At first, for several days, like anyone experiencing a loss, Neha went through a phase of denial. He couldn't be gone. He surely had not went far. He had to be just playing one of his games again, hiding off mischievously in some far corner of the territory. Perhaps even exploring just beyond the borders, which was typical for any pup his age to do. Her days were spent frantically searching every square inch of the orange colored forest, nose working overtime to catch any hint of his scent, eyes always wide open. Her nights were spent pacing restlessly outside her earthen den, a well worn trail formed in the wake of her paws. When her legs gave out, she would spend hours calling into the night for him, waiting to hear a response that never came, until her voice grew hoarse. After a week and a half, she finally accepted the fact that Sachiel was long gone, far away from the immediate vicinity of home.

She consulted with Niles and Castel, the new leaders, but only to alert them of the situation and of her scarcity as she fanned outwards, to scout for any traces of her missing son. Their numbers had taken a dip and she didn't want to force them to spare a scout they didn't have. Besides, those two seemed to spend much time together. If that was what made the ill Castel happy, then she was glad for the pair. Finally, towards the end of the month, Neha's desperation and panic had subsided. She had come to a decision. She would have no hopes of finding her son if she remained here. With his trail gone cold, she resigned herself to the fact that it would take great luck for her to locate him again. She was a failure. A terrible failure as both a mother, and a Vuesain. She should've kept a sharper eye on the boy, spent more time with him. Maybe even have been a little stricter. Then, none of this would have happened. Looking at the place in which she had resided for part of the year, she knew she had to move on. She had nothing against any of the wolves that remained, or those who had left. They had been nothing but kind and supportive in her time of desperate need, when no one else would. For that, she could never repay them. But with the changes that had turned her world upside down, she had to take her leave and continue on the path that laid ahead of her. Wherever it may lead. With a low throated, hollow howl, she said her goodbyes and melted away into the dark beyond the brightness of the orange.
