Inactive VI. Yearling
Nevrakis
For @Cecily, but anyone is welcome to join.

Nevrakis found that he had much more vigor in his steps after his encounter with Askan, who he found to be not such a bad guy as his brooding expression suggested. Breath puffing out in billowing white clouds as he breathed, the yearling surged forward through the snow, small gasps escaping his maw when he had to do half-jumps to continue moving in a forward direction. The snow seemed to be becoming thicker and more dense, but that was not going to stop him. Everywhere he went there was snow, so going in a different direction would not make much of a difference to his travelling speed.

The yearling came to a pause as the treeline stopped abruptly, wheat yellow eyes surveying the glen he had walked, or rather bounded with all the jumping he did, into. It was quiet. Nevrakis would have said it was peaceful if the glen was not practically silent, as if every sound was muffled. All he could hear was his own breathing; even the few birds still hopping and flying around were silent. It was eerie, but at the same time Nevrakis did not feel afraid. Slowly stepping forward, the yearling moved until he stood somewhat in the centre of the glen, ears flicking in each direction as his head swivelled around. There was no one nearby. After a couple moments he sat abruptly upon his haunches with a huff, deciding that he would take a short break before continuing onward with his journey.

Cecily Noor
I’m sorry, this is a phone post ;-;

Cecily found that she loved the snow. It was cold and sharp to the touch, but it was infinitely more interesting than walking on normal ground. The little Noor was taking her time walking through the thickening drifts on the ground, her small paws a bit numb and sore from her trek. But that was fine, as long as the discomfort was in the name of adventure.

Which it was.

This place was quiet, and Cecy liked that quite a bit, as well. Noiselessness meant that everything wasn’t so confusing and bustling for her to keep up with. She wondered what it would be like for wolves who could see - was the noise quite so bad, then? Or was it worse, because they already had a mountain of information given to them by their functioning eyes, and their world was even more complex?

She would never know.

What she did know, however, was that she wasn’t alone in this quiet place. Her hypersensitive nose picked up the presence of another nearby, and she wagged her tail a bit to seem friendly as she stepped into the clearing. ”Hello,” she greeted, clouded blue eyes wandering around the surface of the snow. ”Anyone there?”

Nevrakis

Nevrakis closed his eyes, letting his body as well as his mind rest for a while. Life was hard as a lone wolf, but he found he somewhat enjoyed the adventure, though the constant hunger pains he could do without. Eyes opened suddenly at the reverberating tones of a voice, the words seeming loud in the noiselessness of the glen. The yearling sprung to his paws, body turning to see the face that belonged to the voice, and came to find a rather ginger coloured wolf. She was barely smaller than him, but also much more lithe, however, the feature that stood out to him was her cool blue eyes.

Wagging his tail in response, the yearling smiled and moved forward so he was within a reasonable speaking distance of the ginger female. "I'm Nevrakis," he woofed softly. She seemed much more friendly than Askan had initially looked when he had first met the Shallows Edge leader, but he tried his best not to judge a wolf straight off the bat. Actions meant more than words... supposedly. "Who are you?" Nevrakis wondered what the female was doing out here all by herself as, with a quick sniff, he could not detect any strong wolf scents upon her fur, indicating she was not part of a pack.
