The vastness of the meadow stretched as far as azure orbs could see.  But like the silver veil that concealed the sky, the grass was similarly coated with layers of white.  There was no critter that scuttled along the snow, no avian creature that soared among the sporadic tides of the wind. Everything appeared blank and discolored in his eyes.

No matter the outcome of his first encounter in this land; the contact he had with another wolf was the first he had in what appeared to be eons throughout his journey, and it sparked something inside him.  But he feared that eventually that spark would fade. After all, he didn’t deserve to converse with anyone more than it was necessary so he can get home. Despite that, he did not desire the boy’s own heart to turn out like the emptiness of this land - everything colorful masked by the white that surrounded him.

Attempting to shake off his thoughts, the yearling increased his pace until he was dashing across the field to no particular destination, just forward. Whatever obstacle was ahead the boy would attempt to overcome it. Chest rising and falling as a swirl of vapour that escaped his maw added to the boring pigment. The lone tree that stood upon the hill caught his attention. The boy gradually made his way upwards to finally rest upon the rough tendrils of roots underneath him.

Catch the stick. That was the name of her new game, the rules were very simple. You had to catch the stick but there was a catch, every successful catch made it harder. You had to throw the stick in the air and for every catch, you had to spin that many more times while it was in the air before you could catch it again. Fun right?

Seven. That was the number she was on right now, and boy was she getting dizzy. She threw the stick this time but once she reached her eighth turn she had lost track of her stick and was falling into the fluffy white snow. Damn. If she had a voice, laughter would have followed as she huffed.

The world was spinning! Wait, where did that stick go?
