I could never be that cruel, my dear - Kite - Dec 10, 2015 Backdated to the 18th, when she first was accepted!
[dohtml]Someway, somehow, Kisla had the grace to let her into the Hearthwood even with her own admittance. Nightingale did not want to be a liar; she could not commit herself for life as she so typically might given the circumstances, silly and {so far} fruitless though they were. There was a thought that perhaps that was why Kisla had let her in at all; that anything real might come of these dreams was surely absurd. But the songbird thought then of @Iopah and of the memory she had unknowingly brought back. Nothing to do with whoever Her ears swiveled atop her head. Her new alpha female (new to her, anyway) had informed her of the going ons of the pack; she co-led with Kjors, who she would be sure to meet, of the present members, and then some. And after all of this intel, the songbird decided that the first thing she would do is seek @Inna as soon as she arrived. If anyone else met her first, she wouldn't object; she simply thought she ought to thank her friend for speaking on her behalf at all and letting her know she had taken the offer sooner than anticipated. It couldn't hurt, could it? And she could assist this pack in the process. She couldn't recall if any had taken the scout role yet, but if not? Nightingale would make it her own in her ventures. The tawny songbird was presently on the trail of her friend, tail waving eagerly behind her. It was late evening, now; by nightfall, she would go check out the rendezvous den for any activity there. Nightingale would prove that she, while a part of the Hearthwood, took the arm given by Kisla with no goal to be lazy all the while. No, she intended to implement herself. RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Inna - Dec 15, 2015 [dohtml] Sometimes Inna couldn’t believe how much time had passed in what seemed such a short amount of time. She often felt like her puppy days had passed her by much too quickly. Now she was nearly a yearling and there was still so much that she felt that she needed to learn and one thing that she most certainly needed to improve on was her hunting skills. She had decided that this time she would stay inside the borders and try to find something small to practice on. So with the skills that her brother had taught her she set off from the den in search of something that she could hunt. She did have to admit that she had improved in her skills some but it wasn’t enough for her liking. She wasn’t exactly sure how much time had passed since she had started her hunting session but a familiar scent reached her nares. It was a scent that she wasn’t exactly expecting to smell around Hearthwood River till perhaps later in the winter. Inna followed the scent until the trail led her to the source and she was glad to see that her nose hadn’t played tricks on her. Of course Ori had promised that her nose would never lead her wrong. “Nightingale!” she exclaimed as she approached her friend, “I didn’t expect you in Hearthwood River so soon but I am very glad that you changed your mind,” she added happily. Now she wouldn’t have to worry so much about her friend because she would be where Inna could keep an eye on her. RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Kite - Dec 15, 2015 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Inna - Dec 16, 2015 [dohtml] It was a relief for Inna to know that Nightingale was a part of the pack now. She hoped that the pack may be able to help her friend but most importantly it would be much easier for her to help in whatever way she could. Lately after meeting Nightingale when she wasn’t worried about the oncoming winter she had thought about how to help but she had yet to figure it out but now with Nightingale in Hearthwood River perhaps they could come up with a plan for Nightingale to find the answers she was searching for. Her tail swished rapidly behind her as she greeted her friend the joy she felt t seeing her showing very clearly on her face and in the tone that she used when she spoke. Inna smiled when her mother was spoken of and the kindness that had been shown to her friend though she hadn’t doubted that her mother would be kind to Nightingale. “She’s a good mother and leader,” stated Inna,“And I think that is a good plan and being a part of the pack again might help you find the answer’s you are searching for.” She didn’t know if that was true, if being part of a pack could help but it was worth a try and if it didn’t work they could always try something later. Inna smiled and nodded when asked if she wanted to show Nightingale around, “Of course and I think I know just where to start,” she stated confidently, “Follow me,” she added as she indicated the direction they would be heading. RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Kite - Dec 16, 2015 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Inna - Dec 16, 2015 [dohtml] In explaining what had happened during her expedition outside of the borders to her mother Inna had tried to ensure that her mother understood that Nightingale wasn’t a threat to the pack. She truly believed that after having spent the entire afternoon with the lighter female. Still she knew that many might argue she was young and couldn’t know because she didn’t have the experience to know but Inna wasn’t sure she believed that. She thought there was something about her new friend that touched something inside her though she wasn’t sure what that was and it gave her certainty that she was right about the newest member of the pack. There wasn’t anything anyone could say that would sway her and she was glad that her mother had given Nightingale the chance to prove herself. Inna had agreed to give her friend a tour of the lands which she had explored the majority of and felt that she could give the agouti female a sufficient tour. At least one good enough to keep her from getting lost. The first place she had in mind was the Lavender Ethos, it was an important place and one that she though Nightingale should know about now that she was a Hearthwood River wolf. They walked comfortably side by side as Inna led the way to their destination. Inna was however surprised by the question that Nightingale posed to her causing her to think a moment before answering. ”They aren’t all like my mother and I though they are all kind in their own way,” she answered thinking that the best way to answer it. Some she was a little curious about but others she was sure of their kindness, “Some I don’t know well enough to make a judgment but have seemed kind in the encounters I have had with them,” she added. RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Kite - Dec 16, 2015 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: I could never be that cruel, my dear - Inna - Dec 16, 2015 [dohtml] By now Inna had been traveling these woods long enough to know the quickest way to get to where she wanted to go and the sudden questions that Nightingale had asked didn’t faze her so much that she lost track of where she was going. Still she’d had to think about it some in order ti answer it in a way she hoped would be helpful to her friend. IT was true some of the wolves in her pack she didn’t know well enough to make a full decision on whether she was good. Mojave for instance she’d only seen the woman during the pack hunt and then met her once later so she hadn’t really in Inna’s mind had enough time to decide. Then there was others like Kjors, she’d met him a couple of time and thought he seemed good and had the interests of the pack at hand though he was a little rough around the edges. Then the was her brother Orren and the scout Naia who were openly good she herself and Kisla. She didn’t consider anyone in the pack bad. Inna continued to walk through the trees till she could just see the den in the distance, it wouldn’t be too much further to The Lavender Ethos. Part of Inna wished she could show it to her friend when it was full of flowers but perhaps Nightingale would stick around long enough to see it for herself. It seemed that she had answered her friends question well enough as she confirmed that she did understand what Inna had told her. “You’re very welcome, it was nothing really,” Inna said a little bashfully. “I am sure that it helped,” she agreed, “But I think it was more important she knew that you could be coming.” Inna had wanted to ensure that her mother would recognize that it was Nightingale when she finally did come to their borders asking permission to join. Inna glanced up at her friend when asked where they were going, “It’s called Lavender Ethos and in the summer if is full of Lavender. Is a very beautiful, quiet place,” she told, “Sometimes we have meetings there,” she added not wanting to tell the rest and make it a sad place for her friend.
