secrets within - Ravenna - Jan 13, 2016 For @Blitz [dohtml]
She only knew them from the stories. In her hours upon hours spending time at her mother's side while searching for herbs, she had heard many stories and some of them contained that of Whisper Caverns. They had been allied to Willow Ridge since that Cavern wolves very founding, their leader one of her mother's best friends. Ravenna had hoped at one time to meet the silvery colored woman (maybe they looked alike??) though never had the chance when hearing they no longer remained there. Still, Ravenna was a curious soul and so wondered to this place she had been told about. She didn't know if she would be lucky enough to stubble upon the hidden caverns though it just so happened that luck did have her this day. [/dohtml]
Just north beyond the open meadows into a patch of forest rested the main entrance to the cavern opening, decorated with a pool of water and trickling fall. Little hesitation did she offer when it came to slipping inside, though within there was nothing but darkness, her silhouette casting a shadow over the stone floor. It seemed entrapping. She could see no dirt or bushes in there, no trees or herbs to search out. Above, there was no open sky to greet her, offering ether rain or sunshine, nor wind to catch a scent. Pushing a bit further within, she could see little holes in the ceiling, offering some hope of lighting. Ravenna could only be left to wonder what all was within there though fear kept her at bay. She had no intention of getting lost within these caverns, especially alone. RE: secrets within - Blitz - Jan 15, 2016 [dohtml]

In complete curiosity and wonder, it was easy for the youth to become caught off guard, a disadvantage she would need to quickly overcome. The breath of the other wolf had caught her by such surprise, she jerked, though hopefully not seen within such darkness and quickly the woman turned around to face her intruder. She had not expected someone else and not only someone else, but another that was now blocking her escape route. She did not want to get lost further in the caves nor did she want to get so closely to someone she did not know. His posture, however, was non-threatening despite his size. At this view he was a very black figure over the brightness of the world outside which glowed around him. "Hello?" She speaks out very delicately, though already at her age her voice was breaking with a certain deeper, darker air. For the time being she kept her placement here, stiffened and her limps slightly bent, hoping that if he was to make any sudden moves she would have the swiftness to dodge them. It served her right wondering off from her homeland all to her own, though Niles had done it plenty of times and Isolde had been missing for months. Even her, with her lawful nature, let her wondrous mind get the best of her. [/dohtml]

"Neither did I...." She mumbles lightly, watching as the male shifts a bit, leaving room for her to try and dart out from the cavern's opening if she willed. Ravenna took the time to take a few steps forward, moving in a wide birth though did not stray from him just yet. He was much larger then her, she could tell, although she was no small teenage herself. With a sniff, she knew he was older too, but not by too much. He was not even fully an adult although he could easily pass for one. "More or less..." She then answered. It was a quick response and not quite answering his question fully. As far as she knew it, she was alone, but as far as she knew it, Niles or one of her older brothers might not be far off as they very often seemed to catch up and lurk to make sure she was alright. Of course, she did not want the stranger to know that she could possibly be out in the open by herself. He laid then, which was curious to her, causing the slightest tilting of her skull. It was different to see a complete stranger allow himself to become vulnerable like this. Ether he was determined to show he was of no threat or he was certain she could be of none to him - of both. So, just at the opening of the cavern, where the sunlight could touch the tips of her paws, she sat. "My pack's allies once lived here in these caverns. I thought I might see them for myself." She explains, curious now as to what he was doing here. He did not smell of the Cedar wolves or of the mountain range, which were the closest packs to them now. Maybe he was just a lone wolf out for a stroll? [/dohtml]
RE: secrets within - Blitz - Mar 31, 2016 [dohtml] Drawing in a deep breath, he released it slowly. Content lying on the cavern floor, which he found cool to the touch against his fur. Bright green eyes darted around, examining the innards, the layout of the stony labyrinth. He could get used to it here, he decided. If he was still around come summer, this would be the perfect place to escape from the scorching heat. "Oh...I see. Same goes for myself. I was actually trying to see where that bit of water would lead." He shrugged, apparently no longer interested in the trickling stream above the caverns. He seriously doubted it would yield very much in the way of results. RE: secrets within - Ravenna - Apr 12, 2016 [dohtml]
She listens carefully as he speaks about what brought him to the area, her dark gray ears perking high on a silvery crown. So he was just a wanderer then, as she might have originally thought him to be. It was a particular thing to her at such a young age why wolves would leave their home, simply in order to get out and explore. Though Ravenna had a curiosity about her to adventure the lands beyond Willow Ridge, she could never imagine herself leaving her pack, forever. "Yes," she then replied. "Whisper Caverns was the name of the pack. I have been told that they were allies to us from the moment they were founded. Our hunters worked together, we traded herbs, protected one another.... It is a shame that they left before I really got a chance to know them. But I don't know what happen to them." It was sad really, to loose a sort of 'sister' pack. Ravenna had been interested in the idea of meeting a cavern wolf. Now, Willow Ridge only ally laid far in the north, a place which Ravenna would be unlikely to go for a very long time. [/dohtml]
Sighing ever so delicately, she turned her pale silver eyes back to the young, dark wolf before her. "And you, do you have any allies?" Surely he had ether come to Relic Lore because he had friends and/or family here or because he was passing through in order to find something. Everyone had goals, right? At least Ravenna did and so she was wanted to know about this fellow. It was not ever often she spoke to any wolves outside of her pack. For that matter, it was not very often she spoke to anyone outside of her family. RE: secrets within - Blitz - May 18, 2016 [dohtml] Unlike the silver coated youth before him, Blitz unfortunately, did not have a choice in deciding whether to leave his pack or not. By some mysterious means, the likes of which he would probably never know, fate had decided for him. Intense green eyes glinted as he listened with equal intensity, absorbing the information which she offered to him, like a sponge soaking up water. Whisper Caverns. A hint of a smile crept to the edge of his lip. How very appropriate. "...They sound like they must have been quite formidable at one point. Maybe the mystery of what happened to them will be solved, one day." He said distantly, not too terribly interested in the fate of a pack long since fallen. [/dohtml] RE: secrets within - Ravenna - Jun 05, 2016 [dohtml] It was with fallen ears and eyes cast away that the male before her admitted he had no one here - no friends, no pack, no family. Of course, it was not exactly true given the fact that his two sisters were here with him to travel throughout this new land, but that was unknown to Ravenna and so, she felt sorry for the dark wolf. Her ears fell a moment, a grim expression falling over her features. She lifts, if only enough to bring her a bit closer to the opening of the cavern where he rested before sitting down once again. Outside the cavern, the view was beautiful. There was a bit of forestry, a waterfall and now far from here was plenty of water at the lagoon and a great field for hunting. It was a wonder why the Cavern wolves had left in the first place. "I'm sorry..." She said out loud, not sure what to say to the wolf out next to her. He must have been lonely. Ravenna was lucky enough to have always been around her family and a large one at that. She couldn't have imagined what it would be like without them in her life. "If you ever need a place to stay, you could always talk to my sister. She leads my pack now." It was a bold move offering a home to him, although she really could not bring him into the pack herself. She barely knew the guy after all. However if he was looking for a home here she found nothing wrong with at least giving him the invite, should he decide to check it out with the Leaders. "By the way..." She says as she turns her attention away from the scenery and back onto the dark colored wolf near her. "My name is Ravenna." |
