Broken faith - Ainashi - Dec 24, 2016 @Askan Early morning,Freezing fog, -1 ° F, -19 ° C Set rather close to WRF borders while still being inside the palisade. [dohtml]
It was there, The notch was till standing where is was supposed to. they had gone close just close enough to catch the scent fo the borders. However, the scent hurt like a knife to their heart. They knew what they had done would not be forgiven, and so they weren't ging to bother asking. Instead, they set out for the only other place they'ed ever called home, the crest. However, something soon proved to be off. They had walked to follow the border between forest and open plan despite the thickness of the snow. They knew that the notch wolves would not travel so far without reason, or so they hoped. But the scent of wolves had hit him like a wall. a pack? No that could not be right there where no packs this close to the notch, or at least there weren't any when they left. Had they really been gone for so long? As they thought back they could do nothing but regret leaving. Had they stayed the never been caught and they never knew the truth that yet more life loss could be blamed on them. They lowered their head with a low whine, they knew that no matter how hard they wished for it, it would never come true. They could wish they hear the angels sing, a king was born today. And travel back to a time where their king was born for then perhaps they never sinned the way they did. But that was impossible the wolves they killed and the wolves they had let die would never come back. Had the gods really abandoned them? The gods are getting ready for war, Ragnárock will be their undoing. IT's voice rang in their head and the could do nothing but whine. They knew the stories they knew that once the dreadful days of the goods war were over first then would the world be right. "And we be dead," they said letting a cloud of white air into the cold morning air. For they knew that after all they had done and after they had failed their father in the way they had, the gods would never allow them to walk in the new world. "Talking" IT. [dohtml] The Ghost had not expected to meet anyone out in no man's land, not with this fog around. But they did, the dark shape of the stranger appeared out of nowhere and before they could manage to move out of his way. And there they stood frozen to the ground, tail tugged tightly aginst their belly, and ears pinned to his skull. The king No, no it could not be. They stumbled back words their fear scent thick in the air around them. And then he spoke angry words with bared teeth. Not the king No it was not the king. He was too small and not the right color. Along with this, the dark stranger did not smell of fir trees not clean water, like the Notch. His scent was thick with the smell of other wolves, grain and pine needles. Like that of the pack rather close to them. "Sorry, we did not mean to walk in your path." he said body still held low but clearly more relaxed than before. "We merely travel through these lands, we did not know a pack had been created here since we left and are sorry to go this close to your borders" He apologized head turned slightly so that the dark stranger would no be in his blind spot. The ghost nodded by the other man's words "indeed, just us" they replied watching the other man with a guarded expression before they too looked around, as if to confirm that there indeed was no one ells around. They felt the other's eyes on them and the growing silence mad them nervous. So far the other man had not proven to be a danger, but such things could change as swiftly as the wind. They turned their head sideways as if to hide the blind eye, but soon returned there head back to the way it had been."We know about them, White Fir Notch, we keep our distance best to keep out of trouble." the replied with a surprised look in their eyes. "And as we said we are traveling, to get back to an old place we once lived by. So we are not lost, at least not completely." They soon added looking towards the direction where stone watch timbers were supposed to be. The silence fell heavily around them, and the ghost carefully second be second managed to pick up the pieces and the submissive posture seemed to melt away into a more relaxed yet still with hints of their former submissive posture. And as the other man spoke they tilted their head and watched them, he wanted to talk abut the weather? "Not really, we find it hard to travel in" they replied allowing silence to fall back for a second, "you said your pack was nearby right? mind if we ask what it is called?" "Talking" IT. Wild rye Fields, they never hear of it before and they were quite certain that they never heard the names of the leaders before either. So it had to be new, but guess it was none of their concerns as long as the Notch stood tall everything was fine. And they just had to get back, back to the crest. Why? IT whispered in its whistling voice and they shook their head briefly before returning their gaze to the dark man. However, the could not help but felt a spark of irritation burn by his words. He was apparently not only a stranger, whose pack was much too close to the Notch but he was also Rude. Who the living hell was this wolf? They huffed a white cloud leaving their muzzle. "Yes, we are here, so of course, we talk like we are here how ells would we talk?" They asked glaring at the other. "We have no screws loose everything is well in place and fine thank you." They said pressure put on the words thank you. Honestly, what was this one thinking? Thye shoot him a glare, mismatched eyes taking on the usually cold look. Perhaps they could have explained the who IT was and maybe he understand. But why would they do that? So far they had only let one other wolf know. They huffed lightly "And who are you to question another about their screws, we suggest you worry about your own screws rather than ours" they said eyes glaring the other. "Who the hell are you anyway?" They asked. "Talking" IT. RE: Broken faith - Askan - Dec 31, 2016 [dohtml]

The ghost felt anger well in them as the other took offense. Who was he to take offense? had he not just called them things? had he not just spoken more than what was right? Clearly this one had no manners but they were hardly on to talk either. True they learn manners but not from carrying teachings but fangs and bleeding flesh. However, as offense turned to a display of anger the ghost backup. Thier Body immediately dropping into submission. Fear leaked from his fur and mismatched eyes locked on the stranger. The cold glare from yellow eyes still provoking a reaction. Why? why did they submit? Thier hackles rose as well and lips pulled back to reveal their teeth. And as the other man snarled his name and demanded the name of the ghost along with sharp words. "Zilas, Zilas Garmrson" they replied in a snarled back at the dark man, backing up even further as he stepped forward. run, move! It snarled in his mind and with little hesitation, the Ghost tore around and set off into the white fog around them. One thought spinning in their head, This wolf, Askan Selwyn, of Wild Rye Field was a possible threat. a threat that had to be dealt with at a later time. -zilas exit-
