A new tide - Ravenna - Mar 17, 2018 For any family at all, though she is hoping to see @Morganna specifically.
[dohtml] Though the pack had been created a few months ago, Ravenna had not yet found the opportunity to visit it. Her sister had told her all about her plans as she had moved into the location of the Lagoon though knowing about it and coming to see the place her sister had founded as her own were two different things. Ravenna needed to move quickly before she became to fat and tired, unable to both go the distance and even to take the risk beyond the safety of her home. It would be her first litter of pups and she honestly was still nervous about it. Right now she was only a few weeks on and thought herself possibly swift enough to slip beyond her borders and out of the sight of both @Blitz and @Sven who protectively watched her. @Adeltra however was another manner, one of the swiftest in the pack and a proving scout and there was a few times Ravenna thought the woman was trailing behind her as backup. The call was a familiar one and Morganna ceased her search for the perfect birthing den, turning an ear to pinpoint the location of her sister's howl. She offered a short response, indicating that her sister didn't have to wait on the doorstep before heading towards the border, tail waving merrily at her back. She was excited to see the younger woman, wondering if she had succeeded in her attempt to find a father for her children or if she had decided instead to pin a man down all her own. Finally, the familiar silver pelt came into sight and Morganna barked and moved forward with her usual gusto, pulling up short to offer a lighter shove rather than a full force tackle, mindful of the changed scent in the air on both their pelts. "Congratulations!" [/dohtml] RE: A new tide - Ravenna - Mar 24, 2018 [dohtml] Her sister's short call echoed over the skies, telling her she was welcome to come on in. Ravenna found herself nervous a moment, pacing a few along the edges of the woman's home. It was out of respect which Ravenna waited outside the borders, though times before Ravenna had welcomed her sister into her lands with open arms. Before, she had allowed @Elias into her territory to visit because he was a friend and @Blitz because just the same and he was helping carry herbs for her for the winter. So why not Ravenna move into a territory as well? She had not done so since she had visited the Charred wolves when @Kerberos invited her to scout the borders with him as they spoke. So, after a few moments, Ravenna trotted into the claimed grounds of Pookastone Scowle. Without an escort this time she felt giddy and nearly found herself bounding as she moved into the direction of her sister which the call came from, taking in the scenery as she did so, taking in the scent of the different wolves here - Renier, Skoll, Niles, Celandine and all the pups and others she had yet to meet. Soon then Morganna was in view and she rushed towards the direction of her older, yet littler, sister. She pressed herself against her sister, nudging her nose into her nape and prodding her cheek. "Oh, yes! And you too I see?" She spoke as she rounded her sister, touching her in the side with her wet nose until she met around her front again. Morganna's smile only grew wider as Ravenna quickly caught on that she was pregnant again, "Ah, yeah, an' we decided ter make it official this time," She snickered, after all it had been long overdue, it was their fourth spring together, the third resulting in cubs. "So I suppose now I'm officially another Archer-Lyall." If someone had told her as much three years ago, she would have openly laughed in their face, but time changed a lot of things. But she was more curious about Ravenna's situation (after all, Morganna hooking up with Renier had been the norm for a very long time). "How about you? Did yer find someone worth keepin' around?" She was genuinely curious to see if Ravenna's first litter would be another case of history repeating. Morganna Archer
[/dohtml] RE: A new tide - Ravenna - Apr 17, 2018 [dohtml]
Morganna said that they had decided to make it official this time and Ravenna of course knew she was referring to Renier. After all, the last little of pups Morganna had birthed was five which were created with the same man and although it was unknown exactly who Odin and Kara's father was (because during that time she ended up being at Craw's side) it was obvious Morganna had held a connection with Renier for as far as Ravenna could remember. "I love it." She spoke, laughing a bit to the thought of it, Morganna Archer-Lyall, perhaps as it should have been some some time now. "It's about time." She teased and then quickly the tables turned on her, as Morganna often did to her, curious of what her little sister was up to. "Ah, well..." She started, a smirk toying over her features as her attention side glanced to the territory around her. "I haven't found a mate, if that's what you mean. But we're friends, good friends and he is a member of my pack now. I met him when I was a pup." She spoke to her sister who may or may not have been protective of her. She was not sure what Morganna would say, to be honest, but she wanted her to know he wasn't exactly someone random even if he was not her mate. Then again, she had also left Elias out of it completely. [/dohtml] RE: A new tide - Morganna - Jun 02, 2018 [dohtml] here we are, don't turn away now
It's about time seemed to be the going sentiment and she couldn't help but snicker in response. It probably was well and truly overdue. That she hadn't taken a mate wasn't surprising, "Not like it's somethin' yer want ter rush into anyway." And it almost sounded like history repeating when she mentioned she had met him as a pup. She couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah I literally ran inter Ren when we were kids, right into his back end. I reckon it might be a sign." She teased her sister good naturedly, offering another shove to her shoulder. "Oh, Skoll's havin' another litter too, with my co-lead, Celandine." As if there weren't enough Archers in the world. "Can only imagine Greer and Kyna will be addin' more too." They were thriving. we are the warriors that built this town
[/dohtml] RE: A new tide - Ravenna - Jun 03, 2018 [dohtml]
Her older sister did not question her further about Blitz and Ravenna was glad to not be poked and prodded on the situation. Surely Morganna would meet him at some point or another when she came to visit or perhaps if they decided to have a joint hunt together of some sort. It would be something to think about perhaps after the pups were born and able to leave their dens so that everyone could meet one another. Ravenna laughed at the little story her sister said about her and Renier then, deciding that if Renier had been around since she was a puppy then perhaps he wasn't going anywhere. Perhaps @Blitz would stick around with her too even if Ravenna had a hard time settling down in the same manner which Morganna had. Good things were worth waiting for, weren't they? Then she spoke about Skoll having another litter. "Not surprising. He gets with a new woman each year." She spoke with a smirk and a rolling of her eyes. It was no secret her brother was a bit of a slut and seemed to 'wam, bam, thank you ma'am' every woman he came across when it came to breeding season. "Maybe Celandine can keep him in line. She seems like she has a good head on her shoulders, met her in the Cedarwood before." She informed her sister, hoping that her older brother wouldn't screw her over and his pups like he had time and time before, creating the pups but never actually taking care of the pups, leaving them fatherless.... Ravenna guessed it was not her problem to deal with. "I imagine so... I haven't spoken to Greer lately. Well, not after what happen with Revon." She frowned at the thought. "Our packs were going to be 'offically' allies, at one point. Guess that's shot to shit since Kyna has a stick up her ass about our pack and believed some punk when they said Sven stole his cousin." She snorted at the thought. She had not bothered speaking to her brother or anyone in the Heights since then. They had been the ones to screw up, after all and it was an apology which she would never get. Figured it was best to just let it lie then snap off and make it worse. "So... Your pack has two lead females then? That's new." She spoke then, changing the subject about their brother and onto Morganna and her pack once more. Perhaps she would get away with changing the subject and putting it back on her sister, maybe not. [/dohtml] RE: A new tide - Morganna - Jun 05, 2018 [dohtml] here we are, don't turn away now
Morganna could only offer a shrug when Ravenna spoke of the tense state between Willow Ridge and the Heights. "Reckon I'm on th' shitlist too, we found 'er with a guy that coulda been an' Archer an' she wandered off without a fuss. I only had what 'Del told me an' what was right in front'o me ter go off. I figured she'd at least wait fer 'er dad ter come get her." But what was past, was past and since no word had come to tell her otherwise she could only assume that Revon had been returned unscathed. She wasn't going to lose sleep wondering over why a near yearling had gone for a wander. Not anymore. When the conversation turned to her co-lead she managed a chuckle. "Oh, yeah she challenged Niles once we were settled. Lost a member over it bein' too harsh or some shit. 'e was grievin', better off doin' that without the stress of leadin' I'd reckon... but yeah, we'd discussed it before headin' back from Torbine. It's easier this way." She didn't have to worry about a harem dropping on her borders, or four or five women turning up pregnant and claiming her co-lead was the father... Sure it might have been more traditional for Renier to lead with her, and there was nothing stopping him from claiming the spot if he wanted it, but things were more comfortable like this. "Maybe yer should talk yer second inter doin' th' same?" It was a tease, punctuated with a smirk. Chuckling as she contemplated just how Sven would take it if she did. we are the warriors that built this town
[/dohtml] RE: A new tide - Ravenna - Jun 14, 2018 [dohtml] Ravenna listened to her sister closely, nodding only ever slightly as she took in the darker, smaller and older female's words. Adeltra had let Sven and herself in on what all had happened when she was off visiting the Scowle and it all didn't seem to add up on her part. It seemed, actually, that little Revon had not been stolen after all, she had just left. She figured, if anything, maybe one day Greer would not be blinded by the words of his mate and form an opinion on the matter his own and maybe, just maybe, would actually look to his sisters one day without distrust and disdain. It just left another reason why Ravenna was shy on the idea of taking a mate of her own. Now the tables had turned as hoped for and Morganna was talking about how Celandine had planned to lead at her sister's side since they had left Torbine. She took the placement from Niles but she had challenged rightfully so. "Change can be hard to deal with sometimes. But I figure Niles is better off dealing with coping after his loss without the Leadership burden, as you said." She spoke this, nonchalantly, a since of uncaring in her tone. She didn't care. Not about Niles. It was sad his mate died, sure, but sadness for her brother? No. Ravenna could only assume this had been karma kicking him in the ass. A fleeting thought went to wondering if Morganna knew the full story, of just how their parents had ended up dying.... It was not a subject the silver woman wanted to discuss and quickly then assumed Skoll had informed her with how close they were. After all, he had been there to hear everything when Ravenna blew up in Niles face. Then came Morganna's questioning tease and the smirk which lined the joke. It broke Ravenna's thoughts and she scoffed, chuckling. "I feel like Leotie could have it in her if the situation called for it. But you and me both know Sven ain't leaving his placement, not without a serious fight." Or worse. He was the most dominant male in the ranks and he had proven that and he was more dominant natured then Leotie. He was fit for leadership. "Sven and I got a really good thing going. We're larger and stronger now then I can ever remember." Which was really saying something. Of course Elettra and Angier had always been the backbone of Willow Ridge things started to fall apart with their aging and it couldn't be just the leaders doing all the work. There needed to have unity that for the longest time they did not have. [/dohtml] |
