Grey Days - Rhysis - Feb 09, 2012 Within the confindes of his hollowed, fallen and burnt log, Rhysis watched the snow hail down from the sky. It was a grey day and even though the sun was high in the sky it made little difference to the shadows which had spread across the lands today. In all, the weather perfectly reflected the black brutes mood, dull, grey and mostly bored. With his eyes as grey as the skies above, he simple watched as the striking snowflakes fell from the sky. He watched them dance around, crash into one another and then land without a sound upon the cold ground. Thicker and more furious it fell, until he could see but a few feet outside of his den. The wind swirled the weightless shards, snatching up those which had already hit the ground and tossed them back into the air. One might call it a pretty sight to watch, but for Rhysis watching the movements had no gratification. He was a cheerless creature indeed. Grey Days - Nina - Feb 09, 2012 While walking the medium sized female shook in rythym with her heartbeat. THe snow that covered her brown fur enveloped her, leaving her numb. She couldn't feel her toes, and she couldn't see a pawstep in front of her. Meaning that she could easily fall off a cliff of injure herself without even realizing it. She knew that soon she would get ill if she did not find shelter. She even once thought about going to live with humans, but that would make her soft and not a try wolf. She wasn't giving up though....she never would, Continuing her long, slow proceeding journey the wolf gritted her teeth together. The air was making it most difficult to breath. Her breathe came out in short puffs causing her breath to form in front of her in small white cloud. Shaking her head quickly the young wolf pushed on, knowing that soon she would starve if she didn't find a place with good prey involved. Grey Days - Rhysis - Feb 09, 2012 Ever when sleeping Rhysis was alert, his brain was never able to shut down completely and whilst his dark mind was dreaming of blood, guts and gore, of power and corruption, his nose still twitched. Each breath took in the scents of the world outside of his den and despite the bitter cold he was able to sense when another drew closer. With a snap, his grey eyes opened and peered directly out from his log into the white snow before him. Grey Days - Nina - Feb 09, 2012 Nina growled and instantly went down into a crouching postion not processing what the other wolf said. Drawing her lips back showing her canines the female drew forward. Though weak Nina knew she could still put up a fight if needed to. The wolf was used to getting picked on by pack wolves while she was in her territory. Nina just knew she wouldn't go down without a fight. "Who is there?" a soft, gentle voice echoed throughout the snow. The voice was so gentle it was almost as if the wind carried it away, but she knew the other wolf could hear her words. Taking a quick sniff she knew that the wolf was male, young, and a loner. Taking a cautious step forward Nina tilted her head taking a better look at the younger wolf. Black fur and gray eyes, about three or four years younger than her. She knew she could take this wolf on, he was just reaching is adulthood. Meaning that hopefully he wouldn't have as much experience in fighting as she did. Though she knew never to underestimate her enemies. Grey Days - Rhysis - Feb 09, 2012 Though it was hard to see through the falling snow, Rhysis was sure the female had just taken on a fight stance. Most peculiar. Rhysis may have been bad to the bone, but he never bothered to attack anyone without reason- you never knew how important they could be to you. Thus he didn't rise to the challenge, merely tilted his head and listened as her gentle tone licked the wind. It was almost amusing how a wolf in such a defensive position could sound so soft and feminine. Grey Days - Nina - Feb 10, 2012 "Nina....Nina Hervok," the calm gentle voice remained steady. Watching the other wolf carefully she stepped out of her defensive position and took another step towards the new wolf to get a better look at him. His build was large, indicating that he must have once been in a pack long ago. Twitching her ears slightly she sighed softly. Speaking out loud again her soft voice echoed, "Do you know of any place to stay?" Grey Days - Rhysis - Feb 10, 2012 Unmoving from his position, Rhysis watched as the female uncurled from her poised position and sauntered towards him, such a gesture did manage to put him on edge and he felt his muscles bunch. He wasn't fond of females- they were wombs only and had no real use. What annoyed him even more about them was that they were required to make his pack, without one it was never exist, but no matter how logical and clever he was, he just couldn't bring himself around to the idea of taking a mate like that. The very thought sickened him. Grey Days - Nina - Feb 10, 2012 The small wolf shook her head. She couldn't stay with a pack. "I am not welcome to the packs. I have been exiled." Nina's ears flattened on her head yet again taking in the area. Shivering slightly she coughed putting a paw over her muzzle to stop the cough. Looking back up at the wolf she twitched her ears. Speaking quietly she said, "May I please say with you?" Nina ducked her head shyly down and looked away. She didn't want to intrude on this stranger's home, but she also didn't want to die. It would be very bad for her, and she knew she wouldn't want it. Grey Days - Rhysis - Feb 11, 2012 Rhysis ensured they kept their distance but taking a casual step back, but he nearly faultered his steps at her response. She had been exiled aye? He knew that feeling all to well, but that didn't mean he would sympathise with her. She must have done something to deserve it, especially at her age. Now he could see her closer he noted she was a great deal older then himself, probably older then his own father in fact. It made him even more curious as to why a wolf so close to elder status would be exiled. "What did you do to get yourself kicked out?" he asked bluntly. Grey Days - Nina - Feb 11, 2012 ((I'm considering changing my age. What do you think?)) Nina sighed and shook slightly memories of her exile. It is none of your business is it not? Nina snapped at the younger wolf. Flattening her ears on her head as she coughed. Casting sharp glances around her se took in her surroundings. |
