Muddy Waters - Solas - Mar 30, 2018 OOC: All welcome especially CWT wolves. [dohtml]
He couldn't believe it. Yet, the scent of wolves in his nose forced him to. There was a pack here. Solas didn't know their exact location but they were here. Standing on a large boulder he stared down the mountain golden eyes narrowed. He had assumed that they were loners and that they would simply continue on their way but it was becoming obvious to him that they were here to stay. His lips curled up in a silent snarl. He had found the trails that they were slowly making and he had also begun to notice that the prey was more evasive in this area now, warier.
To say he was unhappy was an understatement.
Solas knew that he didn't have any claim over the mountain but he thought of it as his. His second home and hunting ground. Now some wolves had gone and made it their home. His hackles rose as he continued to scan the area. Nostrils flared trying to pick up a fresh trail, a fresh scent of one of these wolves. By the time he went home tonight, he would know their exact location because he sure wasn't going to leave until he did.
Turning he began to make his way across the mountain, nose skimming just above the ground as he moved. Tonight he would find them, tomorrow he would talk to Kajika and Moon if he got back too late. They would need to know about these new neighbors and the sooner the better. RE: Muddy Waters - Piety - Mar 30, 2018 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: Muddy Waters - Kip - Mar 30, 2018 Wandering had taken a backburner. The little wolf had taken her time recently marking borders and making sure the territory was safe and sound for the mothers and their children. A strange protectiveness rose in her chest, and all she knew was that she had to keep them safe. Including from things close outside their borders. Like this putz. He looked pissed off for no reason, and though she wasn’t going to be outright hostile to him, she decided that it was important for her to confront him anyway. He was close enough to their borders and angry enough to warrant suspicion. ”Hey,” she called deeply, striding over toward him fearlessly and standing beside her alpha, who had beaten her there by mere heartbeats. ”Who pissed in your breakfast this morning?” Not exactly tactful, but whatever. RE: Muddy Waters - Solas - Mar 31, 2018 [dohtml] He had gone off in search of them but apparently, they had found him first. Two of them to be exact. He halted his tracking and stood still eyeing them warily a frown on his face. They were both pale, both female, and both smaller than him. The first one was missing an ear and had scars on her face. She had called out to him first and seemed to actually be interested in if she could help, the second one who was less than pleasant had less pretty words to say and he felt his lips curl at her words. Was she trying to get him angrier than he already was?
I was going to see which area of the mountains you guys decided to claim. He ground out between clenched teeth not making any attempt to hide his actions. I frequently hunt here and I want to make sure that I don't trespass. He directed the words to the first lady the one that seemed to want to talk. He would at least attempt to be polite to her even though he was all sorts of annoyed.
Some annoying pup. He snapped tail lashing behind him as he turned to glare at the second wolf. Why had they picked the mountains of all places? Couldn't they have found somewhere else to settle? Even thinking about it made him more irked and it made his eyes narrow further. RE: Muddy Waters - Tulip - Mar 31, 2018 (Gonna stick her in here, hope thats okay!) Tulip followed Solas's scent out and away from the pack. She wasn't a big fan of leaving the boarders, but curiosity had her on the move. What was he up to? He hadn't talked to her much lately and the ebony girl was a little worried. How was he holding up? Was he possibly mad with her? The scent of another pack had her lips curling, was he leaving them? Her heart sped up. He couldn't possibly leave the pack...leave her...could he? And why was this other group on their mountain? Tulip's mind raced with thoughts and scenarios. Her speed picking up as her concern for her freind deepened. Tulip came to the scene from behind Solas and staid back at first, ears pressed forward curiously. The hostility in her friend's voice lifting her hackles nervously. What had him oh so peeved? We're these wolves a threat to her family? To her Solas? Not on her watch. Tulip flashed her teeth defensively, quickly striding over to his side. "Ever'hing ookay?" She asked, looking into his captivating eyes before at the strangers. Her posture was for the most part mutual, if not on edge. "You? She asked who they were with eyes narrowed. RE: Muddy Waters - Piety - Mar 31, 2018 [dohtml] [/dohtml] Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Mar 31, 2018 Shallow water has trapped several fish in a small pond. Hunt Opportunity RE: Muddy Waters - Odin - Mar 31, 2018 [dohtml] had a one way ticket to the place where all the demons go Odin Archer
There was something gnawing at the boy. Had he been a bit older, he might have acknowedged that Piety was more than able to look after herself. Were he not so concerned about the potential pups she was carrying, the anxiety amped up as a result of his own impending fatherhood, he probably would have let it slide, but he was anxious and the pack was new and he was already skating on thin ice so he hastily made his way to the medicinal cache and filled @Lorcan in. It'd be less suspicious if they went together he supposed, and if it turned out to be nothing, well, they could say they were looking for scrub pine or something, anything really. Oh just a lesson, I'm not paranoid at all! It seemed though, the boy had good reason to worry. He didn't like the tone coming from the stranger, his own head and tail inching higher, singular eye narrowing, though he was mindful to keep his stance just under that of Lorcan's. He stopped a step behind the females, taking his cue from Piety with a smirk, "Odin Archer," here to kick your ass if you step out of line. He only needed one of them to make a wrong move. [/dohtml] RE: Muddy Waters - Lorcan - Mar 31, 2018 Lorcan had been blissfully unaware of what was occurring on the edges of their new mountainous home, until @Odin approached him seemingly very anxious. It did not take much explaining from the larger Archer for the agouti male to shuffle his way out of the half-made medicinal cache and lope hastily alongside him. As they neared the scene, the males slowed, just enough so that they could inhale the strangers scents and listen to the conversation that was already in progress. A combination of damp earth, rotten wood, pine and fir met his nose. It was a pack scent he vaguely recognised from his travels along the mountain when he had been in search of Willow Ridge. Russet ears perked up as he listened to the tail end of the conversation and the bridge of his muzzle wrinkled as he noticed the hostile tone of the male. With a nod he cued Odin to approach, and after a small pause Lorcan loped in a few steps behind him. Tail high, respective of his position within the new pack, Lorcan made sure to hold himself with confidence as he sauntered in past @Kip to stand beside @Piety. Golden eyes drifted briefly over inspect the small dark female before they fixed on the large dusty male. "Lorcan Santoro." He greeted, though his tone was sharp, cold. He didn't bother to mention his title, for surely his posture and married name would give it away. "Yes, as long as we all remain civil, I'm sure we can come to an agreement." There was a hint of threat in there somewhere. Standing tall, his tail waved high, licking protectively at Piety's back. RE: Muddy Waters - Kip - May 11, 2018 Yeah, she deserved that little snap from Piety. But something about the way this wolf - and the female who approached alongside him - was really rubbing her the wrong way. It was pretty damn obvious that they weren’t happy, and if they weren’t watching their attitudes, then why should she? Other Tarn packmates approached after Kip, and though Odin still set her on edge, she was grateful to have backup. A tiny scrap of fur like herself, plus a pregnant lady like Piety wouldn’t physically be able to fight these two. The fact that she was referred to as a pup set her tail lashing irritably, but she held her tongue. Seemed like whenever she spoke these days, it only made things worse. So she remained silent, but didn’t move from her spot. Why should she back off? She was causing no harm... except perhaps the way she was glaring at the strange male. But that was besides the point. |
