Monster in the Shadows - Thanatos - Feb 20, 2012 He walked for hours till he reached the Wildwood. Dried blood was caked on his fur from his fight with Kainda. They were just minor injuries, nothing he was worried about at all. Thanatos looked up at the night sky, unable to see the moon through the trees but he could see stars. He kept walking, just wandering around. He picked up a scent and lifted his muzzle into the air and took a deep breath. Deer. Thanatos knew he wouldn't be able to catch it, not on his own with his blind eye. Besides, he wan't hungry at the moment either. Thanatos thought a pack lived close by, and he became uneasy. He didn't want to run into a pack. Thanatos was strong and a good fighter, but he couldn't take on a whole pack. He shook his head, relaxing a little as the memories of his past flooded through his mind. All the fights, the deaths, and then there was that one incident that completely changed him. He came to Relic Lore to try to let go of his past and change for the better. Maybe he could, or maybe he wouldn't be able to. Monster in the Shadows - Rebecca - Feb 20, 2012 OOC: I had to throw Reba in here ^-^ It was a pretty night and once again Rebecca was wandering far from her home. She didn't care, her alite mind only told her to go and have an adventure. Those four cougar scratches on her neck were almost completely scarred and the black wolf carried them with pride. Head was held high, dangling from side to side as her bouncy steps brought her light body through the woods. Tail was held high like a flag, swiping her black back from time to time. Life was good, life was horrible, but the black insane was going to live like she wanted. Suddenly a scent took her attention. Wolf, male. Halting, grinning in the shadows, eyes and white teeth shining in the few light that reached her. Here was her adventure, a new face she could meet. Sharp turn and Reba was off towards the wolf. Trotting wiht good pace, head still kept high, impish grin on her face, but tail was now lower, slashing the air behind on the level of her back. This was going to be great! There he was. Spurting through the forest, running, running towards the black shade that clearly was her adventure, the stranger she wanted to meet. Then the last jump and Rebecca slided in a halt few feet in front of him. Wild grin on her face, tail wagging as she snorted white cluds to the cold winter air. Monster in the Shadows - Rhysis - Feb 20, 2012 Rhysis had been scouting the general area of the Wildwood- whilst he had no authority in the area he still didn’t appreciate so many strangers passing through. He was most protective of his little log and had already had some challenge for it. Despite the scent markers he placed around, no one seemed to take any notice. If it wasn’t pack scent, it didn’t matter. If only time could fly by, fly to when he was king of his castle and no one would dare intrude upon his den. With a silent sigh he marked another tree; it seemed utterly pointless but he would assert himself none the less, even if it was just to make himself feel better. Monster in the Shadows - Thanatos - Feb 20, 2012 Thanatos stopped for a moment, picking up the scent of another wolf coming up behind him. His ears twitched as he heard them running straight for him. A low growl escaped his throat and just as they were only a few feet away he turned and snarled at this newcomer. Thanatos immediately stopped when he saw it was a female, a gorgeous female. She was smiling at him and wagging her tail. Was she crazy? Running up to a wolf you have never met before was just asking for trouble. He didn't want to speak, she would probably just find his inability to speak clearly amusing but he pushed that thought aside so he could be polite. "Ca I relp roo m-iss?" Monster in the Shadows - Rhysis - Feb 20, 2012 Rhysis felt his lip curl as the female said her name out loud. He knew it was her right away, but her confirming her identity by saying her name just tipped him off the edge. He had always said if he saw her again he’d kill her... but as fate would have it, she was off limits. He had tested the air since she arrived only to discover she was carrying the scent of the Copper Rock Creek pack... the pack he had to join. This was going to be testing that was for sure. If he didn’t have a witness here he supposed he could kill her, hide her corpse and they would just assume that she had vanished without a trace, but now there was a witness he had to hold back. There was no way he could attack now, getting into the pack was more important then a petty squabble. Monster in the Shadows - Thanatos - Feb 20, 2012 Thanatos was uneasy with how Rebecca was pretty much all over him. She was staring at him like she was..admiring him. He had no idea why she would, his face and body was badly scarred. He wasn't handsome. His blind eye and the scar that had caused it was by far the most defining feature on his face. "R-ebe-c...Re-becc.." He paused, having difficulties with her name. "B-ecc-a?" He hoped she would let him call her Becca, It was so much easier than struggling and butchering her name. "I am Th-ana-tos. It ris ni-ce tro m-eet roo." Another wolf was clearing his throat. Thanatos turned to face him as the stranger greeted him. He knew Rebecca. He was a large black male like him but without the scars. It didn't seem like he was a threat or looking for a fight so Thanatos fought his urge to fight. He backed up, keeping some distance between the two of them. "Herrow." Another failed attempt at speaking. Monster in the Shadows - Rebecca - Feb 20, 2012 [dohtml]
Monster in the Shadows - Rhysis - Feb 20, 2012 She was just as he remembered, crazy. He felt like rolling his eyes. He must be a magnet for them. All he seemed to do of late was run into weirdoes, clinically insane and just plain creepy females. Still, he supposed he could use to mood to his advantage if he continued to play nice. He did want in her pack after all. Things could have gone worse, she could have tried to attack him and with a witness there he’d have had to flee before he did her some damage. Speaking of which, he allowed his eyes to settle on the strange male for a moment. He’d heard him talking strangely but hadn’t paid much heed to it until now. Seeing him up close he could see the many scars that littered his body; he wanted to snort at the sight; why were there so many battle wounded wolves around? Was no one able to fight without getting marked these days? Still, he kept the opinion to himself and offered a curt nod. ”Thantos was it?” he asked with a tilt of his head, though he kept Rebecca in the corner of his vision just to make sure she wasn’t going to go mental on him again. ”I’m Rhysis.” he offered before he glanced back to Rebecca. Monster in the Shadows - Thanatos - Feb 20, 2012 They both seemed friendly enough, even if Rebecca was a little odd. There was something about her that puzzled Thanatos. He turned to Rhysis as he spoke to him and nodded when asked about his name. Thantos, Thanatos, It was close enough and he didn't really care. Normally he would have gone after Rhysis the moment he came into view, but he was trying to change. He came to Relic Lore for a new start. He wouldn't do anything unless provoked. "Roo h-av a dren ner-by Rh-y-sis?" He took time saying his name, making sure he got it right. He still had trouble speaking but he was getting better. Thanatos looked Reba over, admiring her beautiful eyes. she had a few scars on his neck, unsure where they came from but they seemed somewhat new. She thought it was best not to ask and looked back at Rhysis, having to turn his head so he can get a good look at him through his good eye. |
