[/dohtml] RE: Silver and Gold - Karpos - Aug 19, 2014 [dohtml] He had been carefully running the borders, marking them with the Cut Rock River scent, when he heard the call from their fearless leader fall through the trees and to his ears. He abandoned his border patrol to be finished later as he headed to the location he was called to. The Flat Rocks. His dark fur would waver slightly in the wind as he rushed to the scene with a look of curiosity presented on his face. What was it that Maksim needed to discuss with them? He was very curious and slightly concerned that something might be wrong. When he arrived to see Maksim already perched on one of the rocks, he let his tail fall and his head bow in a greeting. "King Maksim." He would greet respectfully he as settled down on his rump a little bit off from the rocks to leave room for some of the older and more dominant wolves to sit down in front of him. He would let his mind wander as he awaited the arrival of the rest of the pack. He gulped slightly as he realized his constant fears and denial were just pushing anger through his body. He was completely calm for the moment and had let out most of his steam in his fight with Silver, but he was still worried he had lost an aunt, which he had. His scar across his left eye still stung, though it was a purely psychological pain. He had been ignoring it since he had gotten the scar and he hoped desperately that no one would notice it. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Aug 19, 2014 There are several fresh rabbit tracks in the mud. Hunt Opportunity RE: Silver and Gold - Lachesis - Aug 22, 2014 [dohtml] The lands had been quiet as summer began to fizzle out. It seemed as though all the packs of Relic Lore we busy taking care of new arrivals rather than creating problems. As far as he was concerned, the other packs could continue keeping to themselves – the less problems the better. Lachesis was not much of a fighter – he was the complete opposite, a total tree-hugger – but he would fight for his pack if the time called for it. Since joining Maksim’s pack XIX had devoted all of loyalty to the agouti male; he would do anything for him, his family, and the pack. The pack had become his family, especially after the disappearance of Anastasia, and he would do anything to ensure their safety. As Capella’s absence continued an uncomfortable weight had formed in the pit of his stomach. What if something had happened to her while she had been patrolling? Lachesis had been out looking for her, prowling both the pack’s territory and the unclaimed lands nearby. However, each night he came back empty-pawed and with his heart a little heavier. What if she had really left him? She had promised she wouldn’t leave again… she wouldn’t leave him… Lachesis gave his head a violent shake to rid himself of his negative thoughts – he needed to remain positive. He would not allow himself to fall back into his former self; he had worked so hard to become a strong, confident wolf and could not fumble backwards. Maksim’s call sounded, effectively distracting the male from his thoughts. This time the long-legged medic wouldn’t be late for a Cut Rock meeting. Plunging forward through the trees XIX headed to the flat rocks, his deer-like legs carrying him quickly through the trees. He was curious as to what the meeting was about, and which wolves would arrive – it seemed that the pack was slowly diminishing, which worried the slender youth. He didn’t know if he would look for another home if the pack disbanded… this was his home, and he needed Cut Rock to survive.
His path slowed as he entered the meeting sight, where just Maksim and Karpos were present. Good, he thought to himself as he bowed his head in greeting to Maksim, this time I’m early. His lanky figure plopped down beside his nephew, the former Pitch Pine prince. He glanced at the yearling with furrowed brows – there was a fresh scar across his eye, which troubled the older male. Giving Karpos a “why didn’t you come see me, nimrod” look, Lachesis returned his attention to Maksim as he waited for the other River wolves to arrive. RE: Silver and Gold - Bastet - Aug 22, 2014 [dohtml] She'd been patrolling the borders again, it was the only means she knew of to keep herself busy since the thinning of their members. Though she still fancied the duty of scout, she was not naive in thought to assume that their pack did not need someone diligent on the duty as protector. Since the addition of Maksim's and Kisla's puppies she'd become overtly protective and blamed it on her hormones, they were raging at this age and she was sure that they would become worse in the winter. The announcement of her alpha caught her attention and she paused in her strides to listen, there would be a meeting--well overdue--and she abandoned her duty to seek out the Flat Rock location. Her strides were quick as she moved through her home, pushing past foliage as her thick paws crushed moist grass at her feet, within moments she found her rhythm and her speed increased to a full out run. She felt at peace with the silence of the land and could only wonder what Maksim wanted to speak to them about, she trusted his judgement and figured that what it was must be important. She'd begun to regard him as a male of few words and swift action, no doubt this meeting would a pivotal change in their pack. With her tongue hanging loosely at her dark rimmed jaws she came upon the clearing and her strides slowed to a steady walk, taking in the sight of the meeting location. Her alpha laid atop one of the slabs of rock and she nodded toward him in distinct respect before she turned to the others in attendance, only two others were present. Karpos, she'd seen plenty of him but knew so little, she respected him because of his diligence and ability persistence in getting to know everyone in the pack, it wouldn't be long before she figured the two would run cross each others path. Then there was Lachesis, he was a wolf she expected to attend but could not phantom his presence, it was still too soon but her heart beat quickly in her chest regardless as the excitement of seeing him overtook her. She gathered her emotions by swallowing hard and situated herself on her haunches closest to Maksim away from the other males and waited for the others to arrive. RE: Silver and Gold - Adsila - Aug 29, 2014 [dohtml] The Young Slayer Girl had been resting near the river when Maksim called out for all of the Cut Rock River wolves to meet at the flat rocks for a meeting. Giving the river one last look of goodbye she trotted off to meet up with everyone else. It would be the first meeting she would attend since joining her new family, and she could feel excitement tingling throughout her body. What would happen? She knew that packs held meetings to give out roles to members, explain the comings and goings of recent activity and announce hunts or other important things. Or maybe the River Leader had news to share of something very important. She picked up the pace. Arriving quickly at the flat rock Adsila slowed down to a walk and looked around, seeing only Maksim, Karpos, Lachesis and a dark female that she had yet to meet. Good, she wasn't late. Padding around the edge of the area the Young Slayer Girl shuffled her way to sit next to her brother, gently nudging his shoulder with hers. They hadn't met up in a while, being busy with tasks, and she hoped to spend some time with him after the meeting. It was then that she noticed the scar over his eyes and her lips parted curiously, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she gave him a hard stare that clearly read 'later'. She then glanced at Maksim and respectfully held herself low while expectantly waiting for him to speak, wondering what was going on. [/dohtml] RE: Silver and Gold - Lachesis - Sep 18, 2014 [dohtml] Aside from Kisla, who was tending to the puppies, and an absent Naia – who was most likely on a scouting mission for the pack – this was it. Bastet and Adsila had arrived shortly after him, but there was no more wolves to arrive. A shiver ran down his spine at the thought – where had the once loyal River wolves gone? Anastasia had been swallowed up by the mountains and had been absent for months… Hati, the pack’s former second, had also disappeared without a word. And then there was Capella, who had departed quickly after the two had confessed their feelings toward each other. Had he been the one to scare her off? Had something happened to her? He still searched for her, stretching his plant gathering further in attempts to catch her scent – but there was nothing. No trail to follow. Once the wolves became situation Maksim began the meeting, his heavy voice filling the silence and distracting XIX from his thoughts. As the green-eyed leader spoke his words were filled with obvious truth; the wolves that had once pledged their allegiance to the pack had left. Although joining Maksim’s former pack, Darkwater Rapids, had been Anastasia’s decision, the lanky medic was now completely devoted to Cut Rock and its few wolves. He would do anything to ensure that their numbers flourished once more, and that the pups were protected. They were, after all, the future, and their safety (aside from defending the territory) was the pack’s number one priority. His missions to gather herbs would also have to be focused on recruiting wolves – he was determined to bring back trustworthy loners to increase Maksim’s numbers. He listened patiently to the male’s words as he turned to Bastet, announcing that he was giving her the role of Scout alongside Naia. His heart thumped at the announcement; Lachesis couldn’t help but be happy for the exotic female, even with their previous meeting gone sour. Although she was older than him, the deer-legged youth couldn’t help but feel protective over her. After Maksim had found her weakened body and the two had dragged her back to his den Lachesis had developed an attachment to the ebony-coloured wolf. He had watched her recover from nearly dying, and become a fiercely loyal member of the pack.
“We cannot wither.” “Cut Rock River will flourish once more,” he added with a firm nod as his pale orbs lingered on the agouti male’s figure. “Perhaps when Naia returns we can send our new Scout out further to look for wolves?” He suggested in an attempt to praise Bastet’s new role, his gaze flickering over to her briefly. RE: Silver and Gold - Karpos - Sep 26, 2014 [dohtml] He would avoid any eye contact with his uncle Lachesis as the older man arrived and took a seat nearby. He could feel his uncle's disapproving stare as a woman by the name of Bastet arrived with his sister not far behind. They would wait for a bit before the king would start his meeting. It was safe to assume that the queen was keeping the pups under control while the meeting was held. It was announced that his own aunt Naia was out on errand and he gave a small grin to it. His family was still loyal. Well, most of them as he noticed the strange disappearance of his aunt Pella... again. That had irritated him slightly as he had given her a second chance when she fled Pitch Pine Trail. The king spoke of recruitment and that was where Karpos really smiled. "I've taken to exploring some of the surrounding territories. If I run into wolves while I'm out I would be more than willing to assess them to see if they are worthy of being called a River wolf." He offered immediately after Lachesis had made a statement about sending the new scout out. Karpos had been around to see one pack collapse due to small numbers and he was not about to see another fall into that same fate. Fate. It was a funny thing. Fate was never good. It was like a deep abyss of despair and agony. Wow... that was really depressing to think about. RE: Silver and Gold - Kisla - Sep 30, 2014 [doHTML] [/doHTML] |
