rise from the ashes - Phineas - Oct 06, 2014 Pack meeting -- regarding the pack move as discussed in the common room. Round 1 ends on the 9th. @Deneb @Hypatia @Ace @Aponi @Celandine @Evy [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: rise from the ashes - Ace - Oct 07, 2014 [dohtml] The Silver Male had been nestled up against a tall, thick-trunked tree among the carpet of fallen pink flowers. Autumn was upon the Magnolia Glen pack. The blossoms were dying and falling to the ground, leaving the trees bare and dead-looking. It was almost sad, watching the once beautiful glen around him slowly die and prepare for the harshness of winter. He could feel the temperature dropping as winter neared with every passing day. The sun shone less as clouds covered the clear blue sky. But in a way, he also liked it. Winter was always his favourite month - with the exception of the constant hunger. Ace was broken out of his trance by a cry echoing across the lands of Magnolia Glen, beckoning the pack members to join up with the intention of giving news of a change. Springing to his feet, and with a quick stretch, he bounded forward at a fairly fast pace, wondering what Phineas had called them together for. It had been a long time since the last pack meeting, so he dared to say that there would be many things to talk about, especially the upcoming winter. He arrived at a lush slope along the glen, and spotted a lone ivory figure settled on its haunches, a blank look on its face. Phineas. Lowering himself accordingly, Ace padded up to his leader and bowed his head, all the while keeping his eyes averted. "Phineas," he said, before backing up slightly and also settling to his haunches. After a quick glance around he noted that he was the first to arrive, and sat there quietly and patiently while waiting for the rest of the pack to join them.

And you'd give anything to get what's fair

For a change Hypatia was making use of herself. In the winding bushes with yellowing leaves she had found a ground hog, and had miraculously got the little bugger after a bit of trial and error. Now she was digging a large hole, burying her prize to share on a "rainy" day. She was quite tempted to show the creature to her siblings, she was more certain that they would have it later. The yearling had placed all three of those pups in her heart, against its wishes, and she would do everything in her power to make sure they did not meet the same fate as their brother. Packing the top layer by pressing her paws, she was aware that Helios must be ready to turn the day over to his sister Selene. Briefly, she thought of smiling, but made no move to do so. Recalling the tale, made her miss her mother more. If knowing, the strong voice of her father broke through it all, capturing her attention. There was to be a change? Hyp wasn't sure what to feel, but she let out a high howl in turn, letting him know she was coming. In the fading verdant she spotted his sharp, white coat. Though they had their differences, seeing his strong figure made her feel safe, maybe even loved. He had always "saved" her, hadn't he? Brandishing a smile that was quite small, but spoke largely of her brief happiness, she swiftly made her way to him. Where were her sisters, her brother? In the den? Orange eyes had sought their smaller figures, a touch of concern marking her pale brows. They could not be far, and if need be she would round them up. For the time, with a low stature, she respectfully, and affectionately brushed her nose to the firm chin of Phineas'. Then claimed the spot beside him as her seat for this meeting. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Oct 07, 2014 There is a deer that was killed by a lynx nearby. +10 Health RE: rise from the ashes - Takis - Oct 07, 2014 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: rise from the ashes - Aponi - Oct 09, 2014 Please feel free to skip Aponi in coming rounds as I will be fairly scarce over the next week or two as I catch up with school. She'll just be all 'whatever you say Phineas'. [dohtml] Aponi had not been far, she hardly ever was these days. Before she had thirsted to be deemed enough to be a scout when she came of age but now she had a different goal, a slightly less conventional one. There was but one thing the silver yearling wanted on her second birthday; Phineas. She wanted not just to lead a pack but to lead his pack, with him as her equal of course. In her grief over Mercy she had developed a twisted attraction and viewed the man with almost reverence and was sure that he felt the same way about her. When he needed a pack member to volunteer for something the teen always offered herself for assistance, wanting only to impress him and to hear him sing praise. Hearing his voice echo throughout the magnolia's made her heart thunder in her chest; it was as if he called for her and her alone. Without second thought she abandoned the deer carcass she had found just outside of the borders, she would come back to cache it later. With haste she flashed through the trees until she came upon the meeting and seeing others surrounding her beloved caused a cold pang of jealousy to seep down her spine. So they wouldn't be alone then. Pushing through the others she looked about and appeasing her jealousy slightly she saw the only females left were his daughters. Moving to Phineas' side she licked his chin enthusiastically in submittal before breathing his name, "Phineas." Moving to his side she looked expectantly on, waiting for his words of wisdom to grace them all. RE: rise from the ashes - Phineas - Oct 12, 2014 Round 2 ends the 15th.
[dohtml][/dohtml] RE: rise from the ashes - Ace - Oct 13, 2014 [dohtml] Seconds passed before a young female cloaked in silver and tawny appeared and sat next to the Ivory Leader. He haphazard a guess that the yearling was Phineas' daughter from the affectionate caress she gave him. It made him wish that he had young ones of his own to care for and protect. The next wolf that appeared was one of the three newest additions to the pack, covered in an ivory coat just like his father, who sat down next to Hypatia. The third wolf to arrive was also a yearling, sporting a grayscale coat, but not one that he knew well, if at all. He had seen her around, but had never directly spoken with her. She looked around at the other wolves gathered before sitting down on Phineas' other side. When no more wolves arrived Ace turned his attention to the Ivory Leader as he began to speak to the Magnolia Glen wolves gathered, with the exception of Deneb and the two younger pups. His ears twitched and his brow furrowed at the mention of Borlla's disappearance. The Silver Male hadn't seen or scented her around for weeks, but he had just thought she was keeping to herself, not that she had left the pack. As Phineas spoke of Zia also having left, it made him realize just how many wolves had also done so, leaving only the wolves that had stayed true to their word in being a dutiful pack member. Silver eyes widened slightly at the mention of moving the pack to another location, a new home, away from all of the horror of the previous comings and goings of wolves, among other things. His mind whirred with the new information, and he gazed curiously at the Ivory Leader. "But where will we go? Over the mountain or further south, past Oak Tree Bend?"
[/dohtml] RE: rise from the ashes - Celandine - Oct 15, 2014 A familiar voice carried on the wind, but Celandine was reluctant to answer the call. Since her mother's disappearance the young girl hadn't been the most willing participant in pack life. In fact, she spent most of her time alone, or pushing everyone away. Letting her head fall back onto the soil, she contemplated staying. The sun's warmth was tempting, and the faint trickle of water threatened to lull her into sleep. Closing her eyes, the pale cub's mind went into over drive. Her absence would be noted, yes, but what could they say? She was their princess after all. In the end, that thought was the one to force her paws into motion. What sort of queen would she become if she didn't make any sort of effort. Heaving herself up with a sigh, the youngest Argyris started toward the group, keeping an unbearably slow pace. Everyone else would undoubtedly be there by now, and that was fine with her. Fashionably late enough to sneak in the back, and hide out. She even planned on leaving before the meeting was over, to avoid any unwanted attention. Funny, that was once the only thing she wanted. Her mother's to be more specific. It all seemed to matter much less without the white woman's presence. Most things did. Not to mention the fact that all her relations within the pack seemed distant and strange. This place wasn't home, home was wherever her mother was. Unfortunately, it seemed that her mom didn't want her there. RE: rise from the ashes - Hypatia - Oct 16, 2014 [dohtml]
And you'd give anything to get what's fair

The familiar gesture her father used, made her feel like a child again. This was in a good way, if the simplicity of it could for a moment erase what was, turning back the clock to better days. If only she quietly mused. In her heart she knew Phineas would right any wrongs he could, but even he had his limits. The yearling instantly spotted Takis, and her bushy tail gave a soft wag. He seemed to have heard father, and she offered him a nuzzle to the side of his cheek. Happy to have him beside her. Hyp could not replace Borlla, but how she wanted to give back what their mother had taken. It was nice to have a brother again, despite how down trodden he, and the others often appeared. Was that what Phineas was going to talk about? Amber eyes waited to see Evy or Celadine. Instead came the silver yearling, Aponi. Why Hyp had no real reason to dislike her, she didn't really know her. She had so far seemed to pull her weight. When she came sidling up to her father, there was something in the Argyris' heart that snapped, and the muscles along her bones went rigid. All the tawny wolf gave her was a twitchy smile, knowing she was too young to glare. Without Borlla this girl was in the second spot, and suddenly Hypatia wanted to change that. It didn't appear her sisters were coming, so Phineas begun. As heir eyes meet she understood what he was telling her. Borlla was gone, likely on her own accord. Hyp had really known this, it was still a bitter pill to swallow, but maybe she should simply take it, and move on. The mention of Zia made her hurt as well. She had admired the lady, and trusted her. All at once she felt hopeful, and scared at her father's proposal. It was Ace who raised the question she wanted to ask. Where? In the end it didn't really matter to her as long as they went together. "We should,"she agreed, thinking it would be best for everyone. |
