a queen to rise - Phineas - Dec 03, 2014 First, please note this thread is occurring with special permission from the staff at RoW. This is not a normal event, and given SMP's unique situation of not having a lead female, or an adult female that has not just recently joined the ranks, staff has granted us the ability to do this.
This is a spar for the adult females of the pack. Rules are simple -- dice rolls will be done, and individual spar threads should be created per each pair. Females will be paired to the one with the closest rank to them (ex: II. vs. III.) If one does not wish to challenge, they will not lose their current rank. (ex: if III. does not spar, she maintains her rank. Winners from the first round will then face off with each other in a second, etc. First reply round for this thread ends Dec. 6th. All pack members allowed to attend this thread for LP if desired -- only adult females to spar. @Aestyn @Aesire @Seraphina @Desdemona @Muerda @Myrrhis @Hypatia @Tannis @Ace @Celandine @Evy [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: a queen to rise - Seraphina - Dec 03, 2014 [dohtml]
RE: a queen to rise - Aesire - Dec 03, 2014 [dohtml] A call for the females of the pack was welcomed by the woman who often sought to learn who she was up against. She had plans to rise towards the top of the ranks and perhaps she could learn whom she might have to fight by showing up to the meeting. Regardless of rank, pack events were important and Aesire was ready to take a place she found fit for herself. She herself was curious as to why the females were being called for specifically. The well toned girl had been preparing for a challenge to Seraphina as she was the rank above her, perhaps after this meeting would be the perfect time. She gracefully waltzed into the scene to see that her soon-to-be opponent had arrived to Phineas' call first and no others had yet to show their faces. With respect and dignity, Aesire dipped her head, letting out an official greeting to the King whom reigned over her. "A great day for a fight, King Phineas." When her words were shared, she shot a competitive look at Seraphina. The woman had not left the best taste in her mouth during their last meeting and so Aesire was eager to put the other woman in her place and rise through the ranks herself. In fact, if she hadn't made a mistake to get herself exiled from the Col that she lived in, she would have already been crowned queen by default. The fact was that Aesire was ready to prove herself a worthy guardian at the very least through these fights if not a queen to lead beside Phineas. She didn't know him well, but that did not mean they could not become friends. RE: a queen to rise - Aestyn - Dec 05, 2014
A sought out call splintered into the wintry ambiance. The call she easily depicted to be that of her Lord @Phineas . It was a tempting call as it had tones of challenge. Was she up for a challenge? A moment in time seemed to stand still while she questioned the proposition for a challenging trial. Of course, she was up for it! A creep like smirk appeared plastered on her confident mug as a shrill of excitement rushed up her spinal cord as it began to become obvious as her silver flint fleece began to take on a quill like form. Surely, with as many new comers that had been accepted into the pack it was time to set ranks to keep the packs life flowing smoothly and organized as it should be.
A boost of confidence hit her as her quick jabbing appendages drew her closer to the two females that had gathered around @Phineas so; this so far was her, said competition? She wanted to chuckle but, resisted fortunately. Aestyn kept cool and collected as her stance was self-assured while being respectful towards the Lord. The muscles in her members flexed effortlessly as she measured her pace. Aestyn’s captivating pools took in the sight of Phineas before she dipped her finely chiseled skull as silky notes escaped her vocal passage “My Lord.” keeping her head lowered slightly she let her back haunches move her back a step or two before she rose back to a normal height casting studying glares at the other two damsels present with her. She only recognized one with the calling @Seraphina though she really did not know either; she would not take the chance to underestimate them. She had learned in the past never to let another have the upper hand by misjudging them. No matter the size, skill, or the lack of. Aestyn knew better. The snuff on the tip of her snout rose releasing thick puffs of white used carbons as she tried to find traces of the others that might have the guts to accept the challenge set before them. RE: a queen to rise - Myrrhis - Dec 06, 2014 Myrrhis had paused in her patrol of the borders when she heard the call, also keeping an eye out for herbs as she checked for any funny business that could be occurring nearby. It didn't take long for Myrrhis to turn up when she had heard the call. She bowed her head deeply at Phineas before her eyes swept along to the others gathered. She paused on Seraphina and smiled gently at the girl as she settled close to her. The summons had been clear on the winds and it hadn't taken long for Myrrhis regardless to figure out that there was no lead female currently. It was clear that at some point, whether that was now or another time, fights would begin over ranks and eventually, the leadership role besides Phineas. Yet should the old healer enter the obvious fight for power? It was something that enticed all wolves to some degree yet Mytrhis knew her age would be a disadvantage to her, in terms of the women so far all seemed years younger then her. but she was much more experienced in fighting, if this gathering is for what you think. A voice reminded her softly. not to mention she was a healer. She knew all the spots to go for that could and would end a fight quickly, with minimal effort and injury to either party. Should she though? Other then Seraphina, she knew none of the other females an had no idea how badly they wanted the leadership role. And she had no idea if this gathering, which Phineas had called all the adult females for, was truly for who would become the leader beside him. Well, what do I have to lose, if it is that case? She told herself as she gazed around one last time before settling comfortabley on her haunches. She was the lowest ranked adult female anyway, being the most recent to join the pack. I have nothing to lose and everything to gain if I win. RE: a queen to rise - Celandine - Dec 06, 2014 [dohtml] Loud and clear, her father's voice rippled through the plateau. She couldn't prevent the eye roll that followed, nor the inevitable debate on whether she should show her face or not. Ultimately, she decided a princess should be present, and prompt for every occasion. Not to mention Phineas had called for the adult females specifically, which left her little choice. Curiosity set pale paws in motion, flying over the flattened terrain with ease. Although she had yet to learn each bump and curve of the plateau, she was blessed with a grace far beyond her years, so she made good time.
Lost in her thoughts, the pale youth could hardly recall the trip there. She had a lot on her mind, but now was not the time. 'This better be good.' She thought as amber eyes took in the gathering. Her father stood before them, his regal pelt sprinkled with cinnamon and ebony. That would be her one day, head held high, the epitome of power and grace. Celandine couldn't help but notice that Seraphina was already there, alongside three wolves she hardly knew. Two were silver hued, and one had a tawny look about her. Observing the group, she found one wolf to be missing. The one from the move, with a pelt almost as flawless as her own. She was right then, the fae would not last, none of these girls would. Situating herself on the outskirts, she awaited her father's commands. Of course she wasn't an adult, but she was hellbent on knowing what all this fuss was about. Hunt Opportunity RE: a queen to rise - Takis - Dec 08, 2014 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: a queen to rise - Phineas - Dec 08, 2014 Next round (to end the 11th) can just be everyone pairing off, etc. Those sparring should begin their dice rolls, and start a SEPARATE thread to do the actual spars. I am NOT sure if the other threads really count for LP -- I need to discuss with staff. Try to get your spar done efficiently, so as to not hold up the thread. <3
[dohtml][/dohtml] RE: a queen to rise - Aestyn - Dec 08, 2014 The remainder of the contenders for the leading female position was fewer than Aestyn would have predicted it to have been. Though, she wouldn’t complain about the turn out in the slightest. It would make moving up through the challenge that much easier. The cool blue orbits she possessed slowly modified themselves to shift back to @Phineas . He seemed to be more prudent with her more than the others almost as if something she did offended him slightly. That was not her intention, most assuredly. She would need to learn how this pack ticked and complimented each others life style post haste. Holding her incarcerated but, soft glance to the pack leader she smiled contently as he began to list off the rules and regulations for the sparring. She followed his movements with her curious cranium until he looped behind them as she lost sight of him. His supportive nudge to her flank was appreciated and was obviously just that; as her wily smile widened and her gaze moved over to her first rival @Seraphina . Aestyn hoped to catch her initial reaction wondering if the smaller female would be distressed or resolute with Phineas’ match up. Assorted emotions were hid well under Aestyn’s poker face surface. She was positive this more mature but, smaller in frame woman had some tricks up her sleeve. Elongated posture made her approach to Seraphina, a quick one as Phineas finished disclosing the rules and competitor round pairs. She would play nice until the heat of the game overwhelmed her of course, keeping Phineas' laws. “Follow me, if you dare.” she said with a tease toned voice as she winked. Aestyn’s long limbs carried her a safe distance from the others as she swiveled her dome only a few degrees to glance behind her shoulders. The silver hues flashed reflections as she nodded back to @Phineas with acknowledging eyes. |
