RE: gleipnir - Anneliese - Sep 09, 2015 [dohtml] Anneliese's ears flattened against her skull, sealing them against Garmr's wretched shrieks. It was a distant siren, a sound she was well used to. The blood pouring over her tongue, the entrails tearing between her teeth, all of it was familiar and the woman found herself fighting a certain kind of high. It wasn't that she took pleasure in the pain of others, or even the punishment of a criminal. It was justice being done, and how damn good it felt to once more be the vessel that delivered such righteous action. This wasn't murder, this was vengeance, and as death clouded the waters churning around her legs Anneliese felt alive. Then suddenly her victim moved heavily, crashing downward. Her snapping, ripping jaws followed determinedly until the water swarmed in around her face and she was forced to pull her head up. It only took a second for her to assess what was happening, and witnessing that Drestig very much had the situation under control she ceased her attacks. Still, she stood over the monster, ready to once more tear into him should something go wrong. Slowly her tongue ran over her black lips, sloughing the blood and bile from her fur. Drestig's shout ricocheted within her head as her pack mate ended the ill turned life before her, and only blazing approval was held within her eyes. The body spasmed and lurched, first fighting its fate before giving into it. Whatever pitiful black soul had inhabited the body slipped away, a dark energy that the blonde woman could almost feel departing. The body was given unto the current, to do with it what it would, but Anneliese would touch it no more. The battle having been won, any further tampering would be desecration in her eyes. Instead, she stepped closer to Drestig, carefully monitoring his reaction to the life he'd just taken. How long would that righteous anger last? She worried that it would burn out quickly, and he would once more fall victim to his own emotions. If they weren't home, they weren't safe, and Anneliese would make sure that all three of them returned unharmed. Motion occurred beside her, and she looked to Jessie in time to see the harsh glare delivered unto her. Immune to the woman's attitude given the occurrences of the night before, Anneliese pointedly stared back before once more settling her gaze upon Drestig, waiting for his lead. RE: gleipnir - Jessie - Nov 08, 2015 [dohtml] She watched him like a hawk would watch its prey, looking for any sign that he had lost the mentality that they weren’t there. It soon became apparent that after his kill, his mind had simply given him. Drestig acknowledged Anneliese before doing a full sweep of her own body. Jessie assumed that he was just making sure she was alright and when the question came, Jessie was more than ready to answer it, brief and professional just as she always was. “Yes,” she replied, her voice a flat monotone. His next words calmed Jessie’s beating heart. It seemed that their journey had finally worn him out and the Scout responded with no words to his order. Silently, she went by his side, not close enough to touch him, but just close enough for him to know that she was there and she wasn’t going to leave his side until they got safely back inside the borders of Oak Tree Bend. Granted, their journey took much longer to return home. Everyone involved who was alive did not have that adrenaline to kill in their veins. They had gotten their revenge and vengeance against Silver, and Spirits willing, let her sleep in peace. However, the Tainn would still acknowledge that her death would leave a scar on Drestig that would never fade. |
