RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Sven - Nov 02, 2015
Okay @Morganna, you're up!
[dohtml] & the night is closing in Sven's frustration was peaking, his own ineptitude perhaps rivaling Peirus' senseless taunts in terms of how enraging each was to the monthling prince. His opponent was too perceptive, too well prepared, too experienced, and yet again Sven was left with nothing but air upon his tongue as he slipped innocuously by. This time, the child did not seek to place distance between them so that he might better aim his next attack. Instead, he reacted swiftly, curling around and chasing Peiru's movements with his clacking fangs. So determined, so frenzied was he to land a hit and taste this man's blood, he did not take enough care into defending himself against what the Asurn villain would try in retaliation. A yelp was swallowed back, not allowed to reach the air, as Peirus' fangs cut into the flesh atop Sven's hip. The pain cut through his lower back and shot down his leg, but Sven fought through it, still attempting to grapple a grip onto his opponent with his jaws. It did not occur to him just how grave the situation truly was. He was losing, but he had called for help, and despite the teetering position his small family held within the Ridge, it was certain he wouldn't be ignored (right... ?). Someone would come, any minute now, and then Peirus would be dealt with accordingly. It didn't cross his mind that they might be too late, that this, his brash actions and loud mouth, might be the end of him. RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Morganna - Nov 02, 2015 [dohtml] This hands gonna rule without a throne
The doldrums of leadership had begun to set in, more often than not Morganna found herself patrolling borders, checking caches, taking note of where the herds were travelling and what predators had found themselves too near her borders. One of those scents was a familiar one but she didn't bother to seek the wolf out. She had met him once already and while she had extended an invitation to him, until he took the time to call out he was merely an annoyance at their doorstep. Nobody was given anything freely around here. It was on another monotonous pass of the borders that @Sven's strangled howl caught her attention. Eyes wide and ears pointing to the sky, she turned without a thought and let her legs carry her swiftly across the terrain. Her nephew was an adventurous child, determined and independent. He wouldn't be calling for no reason. Her heart thundered in her ears, landscape taking on familiar shades of pink when the sound of conflict came her way. She had only seen this colour when @Piety's scent had crossed her path and she relished the sudden clarity that came to her. Anxiety was replaced with adrenaline and a growl grew in her throat as she saw the familiar tawny coat of @Peirus Asurn lunging towards her much paler nephew. Had she heard the words the man had uttered, he would stand no chance of escaping alive. As it was, with his attention focused on Sven emotion was replaced with raw calculation. His back end was unguarded and she sprung forward with open jaws, aiming for his hamstring (much as she had with @Titan but with much more force behind her bite). Whatever her mouth closed on would be met with a savage shake of her well muscled neck. There was no mercy here. She had every intention to leave her opponent dead or disabled. Nobody fucked with her Sven. RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Peirus - Nov 06, 2015 [dohtml] Peirus had made a grave error in keeping his focus trained solely on the whelp at his feet. Sudden pain stabbed through his left hind leg as he lunged towards the boy again, and in the next instant he felt himself dragged and thrown away from his young victim before he could land a blow of his own on that white pelt. The Asurn snarled and tried to keep his footing as he stumbled away, but his new assailant held firm and gave his leg a vicious shake, shredding flesh and tendon until the Asurn whipped around with a howl of rage and attempted to snap back at the other wolf. His teeth snapped shut on naught but air, but the jerk and his attacker's own shaking finally tore him free of the other beast's jaws, and Peirus half-staggered, half-leapt away from the interloper, his teeth bared in a wicked rictus as he finally locked eyes with the wretch who had interrupted him - ah. Morganna herself, come to the little brat's rescue; Peirus wondered fleetingly whether the mangled white child was of any relation to her, or if she was simply acting to defend a pack mate. Whatever the cause, the Asurn man was very, very far from pleased with her intrusion. Ah, well. In for a ruby, out for a garnet - there would be benefits reaped from this yet. Word Count: 230 [/dohtml] RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Sven - Nov 08, 2015 [dohtml] & the night is closing in Out of nowhere it seemed, @Morganna appeared, a breathless grin stealing over the princeling's face as his pale gaze locked momentarily upon the flash of her fangs. Pierus' attention was thoroughly stolen from him, and the boy was given a moment to catch his breath. He watched his aunt secure her grip, tearing viciously at the vulnerable, thin meat of Peirus' leg and satisfaction darkened his ghostly features, the angelic features granted unto him by his saintly mother twisting wickedly out of sheer pleasure derived from this man's pain. He wanted that, to be in Morganna's place, to be tasting the sweet mixture of blood and revenge. The throbbing of his wounds only made him want it more, and as Peirus dared to turn on his aunt, Sven did not hesitate to throw himself back into the fray and attempt to get a taste for himself. This occasion had done little to better the boy's tactics, adrenaline and pressure chasing the lessons offered from his mind for now. Later, he would be able to reflect, to truly see what should have been done differently. Currently, he blindly lept at the villain, jaws seeking whatever flesh or bone they may find. RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Morganna - Nov 08, 2015 [dohtml] The satisfaction of her teeth closing on his limb was short lived, a lively shake offered enough to divert the tawny coated man's attention fully from her nephew, the coppery tang of his blood on her tongue just a taste of the reward she was after. The momentum of his own retreat was enough to put her out of his reach when he tried to retaliate, her twisted smile of satisfaction accompanied with a short bark of laughter as she leapt forwards to cover the ground he had given up. He was moving alright. Be he wouldn't be coming back this way any time soon. Was this the way her brother felt when he killed? Larger than life? Invincible? Her thoughts were fleeting, the large target he was presenting as he turned too great of a temptation to be passed up on, she lunged, using her speed to her advantage. Much like she would if she were trying to bring down an elk or a deer, she targeted the soft point between his foreleg and his ribs, below his shoulder (although she would be equally pleased if her bite hit the lower region of his shoulder or ribs), hoping the momentum of her attack would be enough to keep his attention away from Sven. [/dohtml]RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Peirus - Nov 08, 2015 ooc: Peirus is making a tactical retreat and forfeits the match! And he's using some very naughty language while he's at it... [dohtml] The little brat was still as useless as ever, but his sudden interruption cost Peirus precious time; the Asurn warrior was forced to focus the the white-furred lad long enough to avoid his lunge, and in so doing left himself open to the black witch guarding the boy. There was a flash of something almost Asurn in those eyes as she came at him, and even in the midst of scrambling to put distance between them Peirus found the time to appreciate that she at least possessed some semblance of true savagery - a far cry from the young idiot he had encountered at the Lagoon. He was half-turned by the time she collided with him, her teeth carving more jagged chasms into his flesh and setting the whole of his right side aflame with fresh agony. Peirus let out an enraged howl as he again ripped himself free - a hunter's attack! This... this... low-born, sow-suckled whore thought to equate him to a prey animal! And she was... winning. Too much of his blood bathed the ground around them as he danced away from the teeth of the bitch. It would seem... that a tactical retreat was in order. Not a defeat - no, this was merely a setback. With a final, snarling snap of his teeth at this fleabitten pair, the Asurn turned and bolted away, swallowing down his pride and the curses he would like to fling over his shoulder at them. Survival had to be all, until the Asurn gathered around himself an army large enough to destroy these mongrels. He ran, and he did not stop running until long after the sounds of pursuit had faded behind him, though his side became streaked with blood and both it and his leg became like molten stone poured across his bones. They would have their victory, and one day he would strew their bones across this forest, and let none then question who the true victor had been. FADE Word Count: 250 [/dohtml] RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Sven - Nov 08, 2015 [dohtml] & the night is closing in He had missed again, but this time it did not matter so much, as his attempt had landed time enough for Morganna to get her piece in once more. That wicked grin was growing upon his face, and he held his ground to witness what unraveled before him. Pride swelled within him as he watched his aunt fight, her strength attributed fully to the Archer blood that he shared with her. Sven would certainly need to ask her to train him, to teach him to fight as she did so that never again would he have to call for reinforcements. Next, he was determined, the ghostling prince would be able to win the battle alone. Peirus, measuring his chances and accepting the loss, turned to run, and Sven immediately set his lengthening legs into motion to take up chase. He ran at the left flank, leaving room for his aunt to take up the right, snapping at the other man's heels and hocks. If he had any intelligence left in that brain of his, the foreigner would never return to the Ridge, less it was on his belly, begging for death. That much was thoroughly cemented within the boy's mind. RE: [M] And if they fell as Lucifer fell - Morganna - Nov 08, 2015 He had gone so far to tell her he was good at fighting on their last encounter, but if this encounter served as a measure she was certain above all else that it left him wanting. If she had been asking for a measure of his skill against mere children then perhaps there was some truth to his words but when it came down to the wire, she was better. It was an unexpected revelation, one she would be certain to go over with @Craw at a later date. Perhaps she was better than she thought? Maybe it was just the element of surprise that was her saving grace. She decided that she enjoyed this, the way the blood pounded through her veins, thundered in her ears. The way time seemed to stand still, movements seemed to be slowed by some invisible force, while mere seconds ticked by between each move. The tear of flesh, the rush of blood. Pure justice dealt out in her own design. She hoped he would let the message travel far and wide (if he managed to survive). Trespassers were not welcome here. As he fled, she pursued using her speed to try and leave a few solid bites along his rump and around the base of his tail. Given half a chance she might have thought to try and rip it off, much in the way she had taken Piety's ear, but it would seem his desire to flee was greater than her own desire to chase. As Sven's steps slowed so did her own. She tipped her head back to howl her victory to the wolves of Willow Ridge, directing them to gather the scent of this interloper. Her message was simple, If you catch him, kill him. If there was any doubt in Peirus's mind about Morganna's true position there would be no question now. He had chosen poorly. A worried eye turned to Sven, a low affectionate rumble offered in leiu of the scolding she knew he would recieve elsewhere. "Let's get yer ter Nonna, she'll patch yer up good." she couldn't keep the small proud smile from her face, even if she knew it would have to be gone by the time they reached @Elettra. "Yer did th- right thing callin' fer backup. Always remember, be brave, but don- be foolish." he was very nearly both today. She bumped her nose to his good shoulder to usher him home. He was in for a rough few days once the adrenalin wore off. {fade} |
