RE: the early bird may get the worm - Greer - Feb 25, 2016 if you want wrap this up with your next post? :) <3
[dohtml] There was something curious about the sparrow-coloured female; something he liked. Although she seemed uncomfortable by the silence he brought with him, she did not turn it away. She tried to embrace it, even if it made her skin crawl and her mind race — and Greer could appreciate that. Some were not as… welcoming to the concept of silence and did everything possible to bypass it. He observed her quietly while he waited for her to respond to the answer he had given. It must be difficult for outsiders to adapt to the tight-knit family of Willow Ridge; it could be rather intimidating, especially since the Archers had such strong personalities. Her answer did not come as a surprise to the yearling, though it did disappoint him. Despite the girl not being properly acquainted with the quiet, Greer did not completely dislike her presence. “Greer understand. Willow not for everyone. Not even Archers sometimes.” His words were short and cryptic; even Greer wasn’t sure if he completely understood them, but it didn’t matter. Despite them being packmates, it didn’t mean they were close enough to be sharing those kinds of secrets. The shadow wasn’t that close with anyone… aside from the blonde moon princess, of course. He preferred his island of solitude to be an island of one. As her voice rang out once more she asked fi they should bring the deer back to the caches. He nodded slowly, a soft smile rolling onto his lips as he studied her quietly before allowing a single word to fall off his tongue: “Ok.” If they didn’t stop now he worried that they would gobble up the rest of the deer, forced by the cruel, cold hand of winter to fill their gullets. Especially with his younger siblings back at the dens and breeding season approaching (which meant some of the females in the pack were about to get a little stir-crazy), they needed as much food as possible. Falling silent once more, the yearling waited painterly for further instruction from the sparrow. To the caches they would go and from there… perhaps Greer would wander little more… RE: the early bird may get the worm - Isuni - Mar 06, 2016 [dohtml] “It’s okay. Moose’s Tooth wasn’t for everyone, either. Even the Rahals,” she sighed, briefly recollecting back to her family’s pack. The woman had no doubt it still stood – did her father still lead, or if Arrow had taken over the Rahal legacy. Did he have a mate? Was he planning for pups this coming spring? The thought was enough to draw a disgusted snort from the female, knowing well she would have been expected to care for her brother’s get.
Willow Ridge wasn’t perfect, but at least it wasn’t Moose’s Tooth, and at least she wasn’t relegated to the role of babysitter for any nephews (or nieces). Perhaps she shouldn’t be complaining.
Shifting her weight, she turned her attention back to the remains of the carcass. Right. They had a job to do. “I’ll pull from the front side,” Capable decided with a nod – she was much larger, after all. It was only right she took the heavier side. “You pull from back here. Shouldn’t take too long.”
And with that, she fell back into silence as she found her grip. The snow assisted them as they dragged the animal back, reducing friction – thankfully, they weren’t too far outside the borders of the willow trees, or it would have been a very long march indeed. Fade. bring me home, bring back what's stolen,
Capable
