RE: Misty Memories - Yvly - Feb 06, 2016 [dohtml] OOC here! Dark amber eyes watched Lily as she studied the rabbit tracks in the snow, following one of the trails that she thought would lead to the burrow. She dipped her head, tawny ears twitching, as the greyscale female told her she should stay back and be on guard in case the prey spooked. Smart. She had the intellect for a hunter, maybe even for another role, but did she have the skills? Standing back, Yvly position herself in such a way that if Lily was unable to catch a rabbit and it decided to run her way, she could dart from her spot and catch it herself. Either way they would likely have something to present to the leaders. A gift was always good in showing a wolf was prepared to work hard in the pack. Plus it meant more for the caches which was very important in the winter months. Good thing they would be over soon, but then there was spring. Ugh. Yvly couldn't see what was going on very well, so she relied on her hearing to tell her what was happening. For the most part it was silent; a good sign. There was some rustling, but it was very light, most likely a rabbit searching for some food among the roots of a tree where there was less snow on the ground. Suddenly, there was piercing screech and the sound of struggling, but within moments it was cut off and everything went silent. the tawny female turned her head, eyes rotating forwards and eyes landing on Lily as she trotted back, rabbit dangling between her powerful jaws. Moving from her position, Yvly padded up to the greyscale female, a happy smile on her face. "Well done," she praised. They could make a fine hunter out of her, if that was the role she wished to pursue. But either way, Yvly was more than happy enough to bring Lily back to Grizzly Hollow borders and leave her fate in the hands of the leaders. Yvly Doramor
imagine we are higher than the arrows, casually we're breathing with the pharaohs, tragically we fall just like the arrows. RE: Misty Memories - Amaryllis - Feb 06, 2016 [dohtml] Wagging her tail slightly as Crystal came from her position and praised her with a happy smile, Lily gently placed the rabbit down. With a smile on her face, she, out of habit, licked the small amount of blood on her lips off. Rabbits’ blood always tasted too sweet for her but the creature was tasty all the same.
Dipping her head back down to pick up the rabbit, she glanced up at Crystal just before picking it up. “So shall we head back to your borders then?” Amaryllis wondered where the provenance of this pack was. Obviously wasn't too far, if Crystal was out here. But not too close, otherwise Amaryllis would have smelt the borders. Regardless she would find out soon when she followed Crystal. [/dohtml] RE: Misty Memories - Yvly - Feb 06, 2016 [dohtml] OOC here! Yvly hummed softly in response as the greyscale female spoke, saying that it would be a good idea to come back in the spring and thin the herd a bit. It was a good idea, and she would remember it for when the time came so she could have a good reason to be absent from the pack borders during the spring period. She glanced at the provenance of the rabbit burrow, but it would be hopeless to try and catch another rabbit. They were all either hiding deep within the ground or far from the area, so one would have to do. But then again, it was better than nothing, and since Lily had planned everything and caught the rabbit herself, she was higher up on the useful scale in Yvly's mind. Intellectual and skilful, a good combination. "Of course," the tawny female replied with a wag of her tail, motioning with her muzzle in the direction they should head in to reach Grizzly Hollow borders. So with a gentle nudge to Lily's shoulder, Yvly smiled briefly and padded forwards, not bothering to look behind her to see if the greyscale female was follow, because she knew she would be. She would stay silent the whole trip, letting Lily make up her mind about what she wanted to say and how she would present herself. The tawny female wouldn't hold her hand through the introduction, but would, of course, say that she thought Lily would be a good member to have in the pack. It was the leats she could do.
