RE: Risk It All - Jessie - Feb 13, 2016

After she spoke, he was quick to close the distance between them. Surprised by his sudden movement, Jessie inhaled sharply, holding her breath, his proximity making her freeze in place. She stared openly into his fiery amber orbs and watched him closely. His words made her release the breath she was holding and while she wished to close the distance between them, it was worth seeing the smile that crossed his face. It was a rare thing to see, especially in such dark times. A hint of one twitched at the corner of her lips. The pepper-and-salt colored woman’s ears twitched at his next comment. Jessie had never been particularly close to anyone within the Bend and she wouldn’t particularly care who came with them as long as it was enough to sustain the pack.
The grey woman maintained eye contact with him, ”If they respect you, and we do this right, then there shouldn’t be a problem…” she added bitterly in her head, besides, I’ve done this before.. Though she was not aware of Drestig knew so or not. Truly, there was not much they knew about one another, except for their current history and what happened since Drestig had joined the pack. He had a smoother transition than most. Perhaps, it was because she had, even if hesitant, had taken him under her wing, and even though she hadn’t liked him at first, he had grown on him. Now they were tortured companions through life. She pressed on, trying to make him understand better, ”I made the move over here to Oak Tree Bend…years ago, it seems. There are many factors, but if the bond of the pack is strong enough, then you know it’s worth it.” Unfortunately, after Marsh and Ice disappeared and Corinna died, everything just turned to shit.

RE: Risk It All - Drestig - Feb 16, 2016
@ Jessie We can fade here, unless there's anything else they need to cover - or you can add a final post if you think.

As he'd expected, her reaction to his approach was not exactly favorable. She didn't cower though, and as he looked into her eyes, she stared back unabashed. There even seemed to be a hint of a smile on her lips in response to his words. He almost grinned down at the grey lass, but controlled himself, keeping instead to a soft smile. Just seeing that light in her eyes again, even if it was brief, was enough to fill him with warmth. And resolve.
Jessie spoke, voice low but firm, about the last move, from Swift River, and the dark man nodded thoughtfully. This echoed Triell's words, as well as what he had heard from Serach; If we're strong enough… He looked at his grey companion, possibly the strongest wolf he had ever known, and nodded once more, to himself. They could do it, together they would be strong enough! Drestig gave a light shake of his shoulders, breathing in deeply. His nose filled with her scent, so familiar and calming, and he met her gaze again not smiling this time, though there was a shimmer in his eyes; "You've managed to keep a cool head when I couldn't. As always." He had needed to support of someone understanding, yet sensible, and she had offered just that; "Thank you Jessie." Then he reached across to close the last space between them, brush his muzzle gently against hers.
He was at peace now, no longer itching to run, but prepared to do things right, like she had put it. "I'll call a meeting soon, and we'll see who will follow us." He just needed to get everything ready.
