RE: New beginnings - Cernan - Feb 27, 2016

OOC: One more round and then we can fade?

[dohtml]
His frightened eyes searched the dark yearling's face for answers. She seemed to take a moment to mull it over, and Cernan swallowed once. At last though, the reply came, and he did feel a little better. She appeared to be rather sure of her assessment, and so the lake Prince eased back down a bit more. The chubby pup glanced around as the new pack member went on, trying to reassure himself that what she said was probably true. He'd never heard or seen of the monster his whole life, and maybe it was because the creature disliked the area he lived in. Oh he really wanted that to be the case.

Instead of continuing to natter on about giant heat monsters, Cernan looked down, still processing this information against his instinctive fear. The boy was still lost in his own thoughts when Moonshadow spoke again; bringing his yellow gaze up to attention. Well, her question was easy to answer. "Two, Neha and Aleister," he answered softly, for a moment remembering that he probably ought to go and catch up with @Neha soon. The thought became words. "I actually gotta go find Neha now," the Prince added; getting slowly to his feet with a bow of his fuzzy head. Hopefully she wouldn't think him rude, but right now of all times he really really wanted to make sure the girl was safe – and maybe to tell her about the monster too.

He opened his eyes and glanced back up to catch the older wolf's reaction, just in case she was unhappy with the pup's sudden departure.

RE: New beginnings - Moonshadow - Feb 28, 2016

OCC Comments: Sounds great if you wanna fade out in your post :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watching the agouti boy relax a bit brought the yearling a wave of relief. She had successfully reassured him, or at least got his mind off of it for the time being. A yawn escaped her dark muzzle as her ears captured the boy’s response. He stated that he had two other siblings. Gathering from their names Moonshadow concluded that there were two boys and a girl. That was the opposite of what her litter had been; she was the middle child with an older sister and younger brother.

His statement that he had to go find his sister reminded her about how her brother would follow her sister around. Moonshadow was the middle child so she was able to get away with exploring on her own. The boy gets up with and gives her a bow of his head. With a nod of her own head she responds with a smile “Alright, it was nice meeting you”. She understood that Cernan wanted to be with his sister. Since her litter mates were closer with each other she grew closer with her older brother who was in the litter before her. When she wasn’t out exploring on her own she was following him around. Suppressing a yawn the yearling gives one final smile to the boy before he bounded off. Concentrating on the warmth of the sun once more she closes her eyes happy to finally have a home again.

She excused him with equal courtesy, and Cernan grinned. His paws picked up an eager trot and he called back over his shoulder. "You too Moonshadow!" The youth's fluffy tail gave a goodbye wag and he kicked his pace into a lope; chubby frame galloping across the icy ground with heavy steps. Well that was nice; having finally acquainted himself with the newest recruit for Fallen Tree Cove. She was friendly enough, even if she had scary stories to tell. His breath puffed out into the winter morning in silver bursts as the Vuesain's youngest slipped not-so-stealthily into the trees.

Maybe @Neha had gone down to the lake, or maybe the hot springs. Either way he would find her eventually, he always did. The tale of the orange monster was digging at the pup's tongue. She needed to know if for no other reason than to mull over the story with him, and to share in the fright and amazement. Childish awe and speculation was inevitable. He would relay the details about the firey beast, and how it had taken Moonshadow's family. What a horror. His mind was running with the need to inform her about all of it.
