RE: Try Everything - Hocus - Apr 22, 2016

trying to get hokey to a point where I can remove him from the game (to make space for JOOOOAAAAN), so... you can fade it/archive with your next post. or if you want to keep going a bit longer that's fine.

If her behavior had been odd before, it took a turn that was even stranger. She got up and moved close enough to him so that, when she flopped unceremoniously to the ground, it was to flop behind him. He was so surprised he forgot to flinch. It was strange, to have sustained and amicable contact with another wolf. Especially one as small as she. Her body felt warm. Before he could even grow accustomed to the oddity of physical closeness, he felt her rolling around, her shoulder bumping against him as she wiggled onto her pack. She wouldn't be able to see his dubious expression from her angle, so he made sure to voice his concerns, "What's going on back there? You disturbing the sleep of the dead?"

This appeared to be precisely the case as she reached around to grab his ear. Hocus snorted like a bull and shook his ear out of her mouth. His mind reached backwards in time to when his own cubs used to bother him for attention in a similar manner. That had been so long ago. Just the mental act of remembering and calculating the years was exhausting, and he sighed. The white priest then wiggled around so that he was on his back, legs dangling in the air for a brief moment, before he rolled the rest of the way over so that he was more or less on top of her in a smothering sort of way. This had been his reaction to his children. If they were going to interrupt his nap then they were going to be a part of it. "Sleep," he said softly.

Whether she stayed or left made no difference to him.

RE: Try Everything - Pip - Apr 23, 2016

Oh noooo! Is Pocus gonna die?! ;w; Pip will be so sad, she likes him.

It was surprisingly easy to be around the older male. Pip would have thought his presence would be scarier than it really was considering how stern he seemed on the outside. The little wolf offered a cheesing smile as he shook his head and pulled his ear from her grasp to show it was all in good fun. Much to her delight, @Hocus also flopped over on his back and squirmed before his legs tumbled over top of Pip.

A small, surprised breath escaped her as one of his big paws connected with her belly just beneath her diaphragm. However, she didn't skitter away as she might have a few weeks ago. Instead, she smiled and accepted the position as something akin to affection. Whether it truly was or wasn't didn't matter, for she'd perceive it as that regardless, especially as he encouraged her to stay by telling her to sleep.

Ever the obedient one, Pip squirmed until she could tuck her legs beneath her and snuggle against him properly. She smiled sweetly even as she closed her eyes, pressed close against him while his limbs were flopped over her like a blanket. The little sea wolf's tail slowed its gentle swishing against the ground and finally fell still as sleep claimed her, but her face maintained an expression of happy peace as she slumbered.
