RE: sugar, how you get so fly? - Spieden - Jun 08, 2016

@Aponi We're at 10 if you wanted to wrap up/fade out/whatever?

"That's fine," Spieden said with a nod, feeling neither relief nor disappointment in Aponi's choice. Things were already enough of a mess, what harm could another litter be.

"I just ask, if you leave, please take anything depending on you with you. Or let me know where you've gone so we know where to start looking for a body." She added with a snort that could perhaps be a laugh,  the only real sense of humor she had seemed to be of the gallows sort. It had already been a similar conversation she'd had with Naira, but she would be remiss to not deliver the same message to the younger woman.

"Probably seems obvious enough, but apparently it's not common sense. Never did find Drift and Sahalie's mom." Spieden explained with a shrug. They'd done all they could to find any remnant of her, living or dead, and Triell had gone the extra mile past that. Whether the deranged wolves had broken the mother enough that leaving her children behind seemed an option, or some ill fortune had claimed her outside their borders and nature quickly covered, they would probably never know. But what Spieden did know was she'd be damned if she would get stuck in the same situation again.

Spieden's choice still surprised her but Aponi was grateful all the same, at least she would not be homeless and raising the pups alone. Instead she would only be raising the pups alone. To others the thought might have been frightening and probably depressing but the Aquila revelled in the thought. No one else to try and force their opinions and points of views on them, they would only be hers. True Aquilas, maybe not born of the mountain as she had been, but fierce in blood and hopefully with any luck in mind.

The younger woman did nothing but nod at her words, simply responding with, "Understood." She may have left last year when Kyna had been young but that had been a different time and she had had Phineas to care for her. This year she would not be as free in her wandering, at least not without bringing her brood with her.  Aponi had to suppress a smirk as her mind wandered to her plans, where exactly her wandering would take her and how the brood would aide her in her revenge.

Silver brow lifted slightly towards the Coho's last statement but nothing else shifted to show Aponi's surprise. While she knew Sahalie had belonged to Triell and the pair were obviously not a mated pair the Aquila had just assumed they had paired to bond the pack last summer. Still the Tainn's bloodline was none of her business and she said nothing, information storing away in her mind to ponder later when she was alone. Instead Aponi politely excused herself, turned away from the meeting relieved at least being granted a pardon for her faults.
