RE: a righteous cause - Craw - May 26, 2016 The same path? It took Craw a moment to decipher what he meant, but then realised it was a sensible conclusion; he had met Wraith far to the north of the willows, up even beyond the mountain, near to that great fjord. Together they had travelled south, with plans of bringing the dark man into the Ridge's ranks... and now, they could do the opposite. It had been some time since Craw last ventured much beyond the pack's territory, for there was so much to be cautious of within the borders that he almost didn't have time for external dangers. Craw was sure they could rediscover the route they had once used, and if @Wraith was confident of that then the pale wolf had no concerns whatsoever. He wondered how far they would be able to reach, if it would be north enough, and if fate would allow them to be at a suitable site when Morganna would no longer be able to continue on. They would have to make sure to continually scout ahead, to assess every resting place as a potential stopping point, and to be highly adaptable. While Craw was comfortable with the idea of it just being the three of them, the logistics would be made easier with greater numbers. Even one or two more trustworthy, able bodies would make a significant amount of difference. Once Morganna's labour started, she would be vulnerable, and while he knew that he and Wraith would perform at their best to protect and find shelter for her... it would not be ideal. His mind flitted back over those other names, wondering. "As soon as possible." He disliked the uncertainty but was at least confident in the knowledge that they would go. Morganna's promise held a lot more water than her brother's, and he was trusting that she would not be so disappointing. He glanced up at the sky, though the moon was not visible in the morning's light. "Morganna set a strict deadline which I trust. There are just loose ends to tie up, and potential allies to approach." His lips twisted in a small smile, not about to forget the suggestion of Greer. Yellow eyes glanced to the side to catch Wraith's. "Is there anything you want done before we go?" RE: a righteous cause - Wraith - Jun 02, 2016 Wraith nodded his understanding, relieved to hear they would not dally long in these lands. For a time, they had felt like home, a place where he felt welcome. But no longer since his questionable decision to give in to instinct. He felt animosity wherever he walked save amongst those he’d found to be trustworthy. If @Craw and Morganna were set on speaking to any who would join them, Wraith would make further preparations for the journey by filling their bellies. It was always hard to say how readily prey would be made available on a trip such as the one they planned to take. The brute shook his head. “I’ve no loose ends here.” As a matter of fact, Wraith was anxious to leave immediately. Patience would be hard to come by, so it would be in everyone’s best interest if he made himself scarce. “I’ll go hunting and bring back enough for all who will join us.” Wraith stepped forward to butt his head against Craw’s own in solidarity. He’d never known a stronger brotherhood and couldn’t be more pleased to have run headfirst into the spider-faced male on their first meeting. “I’ll be ready when you are.” -thread fade- |
