RE: back home - Niq'x - Sep 23, 2016 no worries @Tyne <3 @Pip we could have this fade out with the next few posts if you'd like? :) [dohtml] Niq’x knew there was nothing she could do to change her sister’s mind. If Pip felt as though this was where she belonged — instead of the ocean they had been born from — the otter could not force her to leave. As disheartening as it was to hear, she was still happy for her mute sister. Being the charismatic wolf that she was, Pip had already formed bonds with her new packmates. What kind of a sister would she be if she was to tear her away from this new life? No, Niq’x couldn't — wouldn’t do that. She did not want her sister to resent her. Her own heart was with the sea, and always would be, but if Pip wanted to live among the trees Niq'x knew she had to respect that decision. No matter how badly she wanted to take her back to Bella Coola. A small smile rolled onto her cream maw as Pip gave a short, sharp nod in response. She watched as their inky brother slipped away, allowing Niq’x to deal with the situation. Like her, Blitz was determined on returning to the sea — nothing would ever change his stubborn mind. He was far too hot-headed to be swayed. But, so was Niq’x. Nothing could replace the coast — especially all these annoying trees. They blocked any sort of view the Lore had to offer, and the bodies of water nearby were small and limited. Pip had always been an outsider, keeping to herself and away from the hustle and bustle of the Coola wolves. It made sense why she felt more comfortable here. The Hollow wolves were few in number, perhaps a quarter of the Bella Coola pack’s size. With her silent demeanour, it was easier for her to interact with less wolves and connect with them. As much as she did not understand why Pip wanted to stay here, she did understand. Niq’x just did not agree with her decision, but that didn’t mean she had to make the same one. “Why don’t you show me what you like doin’ around here, Pip? I’m not used to all these trees,” she suggested with a soft wag of her tail, hoping this would lighten the sour mood Blitz had created. RE: back home - Pip - Oct 18, 2016 [dohtml] In the wake of her brother's poor attitude, @Niq'x at least was willing to try. Though clearly still unsettled by the insinuation that the pair of them would rather drag her away from this wonderful pack than stay among them and learn to love each of them as she did, Pip was grateful for the distraction her sister offered. In Bella Coola, an argument such as this may very well have left the mute girl retreating down the coastline on her own for solitude. However, the very real possibility that her siblings could leave her forever had her striving to grasp at the olive branch offered. The agouti girl smiled, strained as it was, and inclined her head. Should @Tyne choose to follow was his own choice to make and she wouldn't object. Swiftly, Pip carried herself away from the lurking animosity in the atmosphere towards her favorite places. The nearby pool that made for great fishing was the very first on the list. While Pip thought integrating her siblings with her pack mates would be more beneficial, she didn't want to force her sister into an uncomfortable situation right away. Instead, she would start with the places that reminded her of the ocean. Even the small things; the crows were as silly as gulls, the waterfalls could crash like waves and send water in one's face as readily as ocean spray. Niq'x need only look. Use her nose, use her eyes, use her ears, her imagination, and try! |
