RE: a long time coming - Morganna - Oct 02, 2016 Snowflakes, oh but the winter was a ways off yet, and she could only wonder at how harsh the season would be. Would she regret such an open sky then? For all that they had their nooks and crannies, and the crack in the earth that would become their main den, would the wind howl unbuffered by a protecting wall of trees? Why even now, you didn't have to dig too deep to hit the frozen earth - while it boded well for the longevity of caches, it limited how well they could be stocked. Well, at least they should be safe from avalanches. When Wraith went on to declare himself not lily-livered, she dared to crack a smile, nodding her understanding for it truly was the people that made the place, and not the other way around. The thump of her tail against the earth should convey her understanding and agreement more that words could, besides, it seemed as through down time was coming to an end. As the dark man moved to stand, Morganna reached up to brush his cheek with her nose in parting, the sound of movement coming from the den cutting any verbal farewell short. With an audible sigh she rolled her eyes and shifted closer to the hole under the rock. No rest for the wicked. -fade- |
