RE: just rope swingin' in the breeze - Sven - Oct 22, 2016 She confirmed it, and for whatever reason that just made his blood boil over again. Maybe it was because deep down, he didn't want to be right. He wanted an excuse, he wanted to be placated, he wanted to be assured that what she had done wasn't really so horrible because then he could not feel so torn up about it, and then he could find a good reason to let her slither back into their lives. In all honesty, he wanted her there, in her proper place as Attica's mother. Sven would've given anything to have Piety back, and if his sister could have that, he would not deny her it. The problem was, what if he let her back in, allowed her to repent for her sins, get close to Atty, and then just repeat the same horrid past and break her heart? Was it worth the risk? Sven wished he could be stalwart in his guardianship, know the right answer without these muddied emotions and stand by it. As it was however, he couldn't decide on his own. He needed outside guidance. A talk with his conscience, also known as @Sahalie Tainn. But what to do right now? His frustration built inside of him like a physical thing, anger and insecurity and yearning pressing and pulling and tearing him apart until it became too much and impulse took over. His face twisted with a silent snarl once more, nothing but harsh air escaping his throat in a raspy wuff as his fangs clicked right next to her ear and he lashed out. His forepaw struck her cheek, claws dull but digging hard as they swiped across her skin. Just as quickly as the violence rose up, it subsided. Breathing heavy, he stared down at her for a few silent moments before finally he began to step back, far enough to allow her to stand unobstructed again. "You have to earn it," he told her, his tone utterly decided. It was not an offer, but a command. "You will prove to me that you won't put yourself first anymore. Join a pack, not the Hollow, and keep your fucking nose clean. I will come to you. You won't ever try to see her on her own, or I will tear you apart and she won't know the fucking difference." His muscles threatened to quiver from the adrenaline pumping through them, his skin ice cold and blazing hot all at the same time. Was this the right thing? God, he hoped so. Because if it wasn't, @Attica could be the one to pay the price. Taking a deep breath, he steadied himself, and for the first time in his life he shared that lonely solace that he had taken in his most broken moments. "Before anything else, though, you need to repent. Pray to God to forgive your sins." |
