RE: back to the remedy - Enoki - Jul 25, 2017

One more post from each of us and we can archive this <3 @Ravenna

"You already are, Ravenna. You are half Elettra and half Angier, both a source of greatness from two different families that came together to make you." Sprinkle that with all the hardship the young girl had endured in just two short years and how could anyone not agree that she was something great all on its own? Where most would crumble under the weight of despair and stress that seemed to cling to the willow boughs like the black plague she stood strong, head still lifted proudly like a proper Archer that refused to show their weakness. That was the Elettra in her.

A soft, affectionate rumble sounded in the depths of Enoki's chest as the silvered woman reached out to brush her nose through the mismatched fur that draped over her nape, ears pricking instantly at the prospect of receiving not only one on one time with her niece but a nap in the process as well. If there was one thing this pregnancy had taught Enoki to enjoy more than usual it was the chances to steal away and catch a few hours of sleep until the growing children in her womb protested. Besides, the storm inside her stomach was starting to calm thanks to the herbs she finally ingested and exhaustion was slowly creeping into its place.

"Don't need to tell me twice." She chuckled softly while gradually rising onto all fours with a few grunts and groans in the process. It was no joke lifting extra weight upon your bones that were not normally there. A swift shake riding any dirt the expectant mother didn't wish to track into the den with them.

RE: back to the remedy - Ravenna - Aug 05, 2017

Ravenna could not help the deep smile that moved over her gray lips at the words her leader spoke. Her tail waving back and forth between her legs lowly with a humble nature and submissive display for her leader and leader only. It was, without a doubt, Ravenna tried so very hard to remain strong and hopeful of this pack's future. Too many times she wanted to turn her back on Willow Ridge and run away like so many other of her family had before her. So many times she wanted to fall defeated and cry endlessly for the loss of both her mother and father and both at the very same time, a horrible heartbreak which not many could even compare to. A fight was different. War was far different. In war you often fought for territory, fought for food or protection of your family or rights. But they just died. No victory one, no glory obtained. Remaining strong and proud was the hardest thing Ravenna Archer-Lyall had ever done.

Her whine offered a wordless thanks to Enoki as she then turned, walking slowly into the den's opening where she paused. Eyes darted to the collection of herbs soaking in their little hollowed out wood pieces and bones and then towards Enoki to watch her hobble to the den as rounded stomach swayed to and fro. Entering the den, she settled into a dark corner and laid. Tail thumped the group as an offer for Enoki to sit near, a yawn already taking hold. Nap time was always better with a cuddle buddy.

The submissive display was matched with a gentle tug to a dark tinged ear and a warm smile before steadily following in Ravenna's footsteps toward the den, allowing the younger woman a chance to make herself comfortable before slipping inside herself and slowly sinking onto her belly beside her. Head turned and chin coming to rest upon the small of her back after a yawn of her own escaped her jaws. Already the gurgling of her stomach had simmered down to a more endurable annoyance, but Enoki knew by the time she fell into a deep slumber and awoke the sensation would be gone altogether.

One more yawn passed over her lips and angling her head slightly an affectionate nibble to the child's hip was given before nuzzling her marred snout into the plush silver fur, dark lids coming to a close and words murmured in a tone that gradually became saturated in the exhaustion that plagued the first time mother. "Sleep well, Ravenna." The words tapering off to just a hair above a whisper, the final notes transforming into the light serenade of gentle snores and light whines the further Enoki journeyed into the realm of dreams and a deep slumber eventually overtook both girls completely.

Fade.
