RE: twist your ankle - Adelayde - May 04, 2017 [dohtml] she says beauty is pain
His chuckle was pleasing as he joked with her. He affirmed that he indeed wanted to know these things about her, which made her feel even more light and jubilant. His gaze left hers as he turned to look out past them and out towards the dark horizon. He then mentioned that he would like to see the Rye, up close. Smiling then, she turned her gaze onto him, ”I'd love that. You will love it, especially when the rye grows in. Might make ya wanna stay its so beautiful?” Chuckling lightly, she bumped her shoulder against his lightly in pure fun. As she went on, she didn't see the frown that etched across his face or the fact she may have been making him uncomfortable. Ade was sometimes oblivious to the feelings of others when she spoke or acted. And again, as she spoke about all the ones she loved were only in the Rye, she was blind to the feelings Laike may had been having. If he was upset or uncomfortable, he never mentioned it. Instead, he was silent and so she continued on. As their gaze connected, a smirk formed on his ebony lips as she waited for a response. Telling her she should give herself more credit, she chuckled with him as his gaze lingered as he continued. Her gaze softening at his following comment. He was right, honestly. Who would come back if they were not interested in knowing more about her? “I'm glad you came,” she murmured as she moved closer to him with the cold breeze wiping across the barren lands. and there's beauty in everything
RE: twist your ankle - Laike - May 09, 2017 @Adelayde you can probably fade with your next post if you'd like <3
[dohtml]More laughter flowed freely from him. "Is that the Rye's tactic? Send out alluring females to steal males from their neighbors?" He teased gently and returned her bump. There was no way he'd seriously admit that no how beautiful the fields were, that likely wouldn't be why he stayed. He enjoyed Adelayde's company and if the wolves were anything like her then no view could change his mind. He was already committed to serving Hearthwood River, though. He had made a promise to Kisla with Aleksei as a witness. He sort of had a friend there (did Aleksei really count? It was perhaps the closest he could get to a friend...) and there was family there too. Of course, Laike was unsure if Lorcan was truly enough of a reason to stay... He cleared his head of these thoughts as the large female spoke again. Laike didn't fail to notice how she moved in closer with the chilly breeze. A hidden smile tugging on his inky lips as she displayed pleasure in his company. He was a confident man in his abilities and skills but he never had any confidence when it came to the opposite sex. Laike had always been so work-driven that never once did he busy himself with the company of females in a more casual manner. But there was something comforting about Adelayde. Perhaps because he did have to work some he felt more relaxed. "I couldn't think of anywhere else better to be." art by kydnt

Chuckling effortlessly, her eyes gleamed with euphoria as she glanced back him after he followed her words with teasing of his own. The skin he touched, tingled and grew warm even underneath her dark tawny fur as she blushed. It was so nice to have someone seem to enjoy her company and go along with her teasings. At home, she just seemed too bright for the others and she was pretty lonely at home. Jesse had Drestig and Askan seemed to hang out with Reyes, leaving Adelayde the odd man out of the pairs. So it was tiring entertaining herself. At least Laike seemed to enjoy her company, however she couldn't grasp completely why. She wasn't anything special, Ade never thought she was. Granted she wasn't the most normal per say, but she wasn't the best thing in the world. She was just Adelayde As her mind wandered, she almost missed him saying he couldnt imagine being anyway better. The chipper girl was rendered speechless for a moment before she glanced back at him with mischievous blue green eyes. "You weren't supposed to discover that sacred Rye secret. Wish you didn't," her words were serious, but her eyes gave her bravado away. " 'Cause now I'm gonna have to take you down." With no warning other than her words, she tackled him as a fit of laughter escaped her maw. and there's beauty in everything
