RE: bighorn sheep - Mathuin - May 21, 2017 It was no easy feat dragging her out of the rapids, her damp fur only adding on to whatever she already weighed. Of course, there was the wave of relief that followed when she was back on land again. The sight was pitiful to see her on the ground in a sopping mess with her teeth chattering like they might shatter. He supposed that he preferred seeing this over her being dragged down the rapids. His tongue swept across her head and neck to clean her off some. Technically she was very clean now but he hoped it would warm her up if he groomed her some. At first, he did not want to be her towel or any other drying system but now it seemed he had no other option. Her apologies caused a smile to crack on his face. "Don't be sorry you weren't a safe mountain goat." His tongue went to sweep between her eyes. "Just learn from this experience. Most importantly I'm glad your safe." And he was glad he didn't have to live with the guilt of her impending doom from the rapids. The large yearling would continue to groom away the cold droplets from her until she protested or she was cleared of them. Whichever came first he supposed. -fade- |
