RE: i can dish it out - Emrys - May 31, 2017 [dohtml] The pale alpha was having fun with the little dark girl but in the midst of their play he was overtaken by a moment of grief. As he thought of his son and daughter and the times he would have with them like the one he was having with Hawthorne he thought of his lost son. How he would never have the chance to have a play session with him or teach him all the things a young wolf should know. As he watched the dark coated pup as she moved in play he noted the similar coat colors. Almost as soon as the moment came it was gone, little Hawthorne wanted to play and that was what they would do for as long as she wanted. She was cute with that grin of her as he chuckled and spoke to her, always in a calm voice to not scare her. That was the last thing he wanted to do, he always wanted to see her and his own children happy. To him it didn't matter whose child she was, she hadn't asked for what Sylva had done to her and he would not let her feel the punishment that her mother was under if he could help it especially while she was so young. As he'd planned the little girl landed on his side a small sound. It seemed she wasn't meant to stay there though as felt her side right off the other side. While he hadn't meant for it to happen he hoped she was okay he knew this was one of those things that happened to pups, it was part of growing and learning. She decided to make the best of it as he felt her move closer to his head. He didn't see what she was going to do so as not prepared for her to clamp her sharp little puppy teeth down on his ear and pull. That action didn't bother him considering she was still so small, her size didn't stop her from trying. He did try to took his ear but then he tried to pull her until she would be lying across his neck. [/dohtml]RE: i can dish it out - Hawthorne - Jun 01, 2017 She was pleased that she had managed to get his ear. While she wasn't too rough she was surely doing enough to make her presence known. The soft fur around his ear tickled young Hawthorne's nose and she, sure enough, let go of his ear as his much larger paws seemed to drag her over. She gave a soft yip but didn't struggle too much as her gray and black form seemed to drape over his neck. With a few wiggles, she seemed to roll off his neck and be more tucked against his chest. Upside down with her baby blue eyes trying to make sense of this sudden upside down position. It wasn't totally awful but it certainly was new. The real question was how did she get out of this position. With her back against the pale man and her rump and tail above her head, she found it a bit awkward to try and play in this upside down kind of way. Hawthorne didn't seem to think far enough ahead that she might be able to fix her situation herself. The young Riverflow gave the best bark she could. Perhaps her friend who was good at playing would also be good at helping. RE: i can dish it out - Emrys - Jun 02, 2017 [dohtml] Her sharp little teeth were merely an annoyance that he could most certainly forgive her and she tugged on his ear. Her grip on it was just enough that it helped him to pull her across his neck before she had the chance to let go and fall back to the ground. He offered an amused whine as her yip sounded around them but her time sprawled across his neck wasn't to last long as she eventually slide down the otherside front first. He chuckled at Hawthorne's antic's. Emrys couldn't wait for the day his children would get to meet her. They would all be able to play together running through the notch filling it with their laughter. He could already see the smile on his mates face. After sliding off his neck she found herself in an upside down position against him. Enrys watched her for a moment to see if she could right herself. These were the things that it was important for Hawthorne to learn. The longer she remained in that position he started to wonder if she would figure it out. Her bark was enough to tell him that she wanted help so with his nose he nudged her until she could get back up on her feet. They would be able to continue their play of that was what the little tuft wanted. He was already growing attached to her just like he had Ryker, he hoped he would never see the day when she would leave the notch. [/dohtml]RE: i can dish it out - Hawthorne - Jun 02, 2017 Hawthorne could easily dub this man as a friend. While he certainly wasn't mother he was almost as nice as her. Especially when he responded how she had hoped he would. Soon enough she was back on her disproportionate paws but she wasn't ready to rumble again. Playing with him had caused enough excitement to wear the young pup out. She shook out her coat to rid herself of any dirt before giving a soft yawn. It was most certainly nap time now. Her dark face pushed into the pale fur lining his neck. Hawthorne expected two things to happen. Either he would continue his streak of being a helpful wolf and carry her back to the den (for she was feeling a bit lazy and didn't wish to walk the few grown wolf lengths) or she would be allowed to doze here in the sun and his fur. Both were okay options. Part of her wondered if mama knew it was her nap time and if the dark mother would come get her. Then again she had just made a new friend. What better way to bond with them than to share a nice nap? Her rump planted onto the warm earth below. Regardless of how she got her nap she knew she wouldn't be moving much more. Today had been a good day despite her drain of energy. @Emrys Feel free to fade with your next post <3

[Dohtml] The antics of the little pup had brought a smile to the pale leaders maw despite the small reminder that his lost son would never play like she had. He watched as she regained her feet after he'd used his nose to push her until she was right side up again. Emrys was ready for her to want to play some more but is seemed she was no longer in the mood for that. After shaking her coat out she was pushing into his ruff to get comfortable, it seemed she had tired herself out. Using his muzzle once again he tucked her against him before placing a lick to her crown. Then he rested his head on his outstretched paws. Despite his busy schedule he didn't see any harm in taking a little time to rest in the sun with Hawthorne. They'd enjoyed a good romp and now it was time for her to rest so she'd be ready for her next play session. It had been a long time since he'd had a chance to lay in the sun and enjoy a few minutes to himself. This was the life of a leader and he was quite content with it even though he and Jynx had experienced some ups and downs recently. Fade [/dohtml] |
