RE: stop the explanations - Laike - Jul 26, 2017 feel free to fade in your next post c: @Risaela
[dohtml] He was glad that the young girl had agreed with him. It would make things a lot easier on his end. Laike followed after her as she bumped his leg and headed towards the main den. The main den was not an ideal place for him to rest but if it got the child to go to bed then he would follow along with it. "Yes." He mumbled softly. "Come on now. We'll go get some sleep and try looking for more fireflies tomorrow." That was a partial lie on his end. There was a fairly good chance he wouldn't be too interested in Firefly searching tomorrow but he was interested in getting back to a resting place. He made sure not to walk too fast for her still stubby legs and offer a gentle nudge if she strayed too far from their path back. His jaws parted open in a yawn as the tiredness truly began to settle in. Perhaps all he needed was the child around to wear him thin to the point that sleep would come. "Almost there." The stocky Artemieva male whispered to no one in particular. Soon enough he could wind down for the night and hopefully without a child by his side. art by kydnt
RE: stop the explanations - Risaela - Jul 26, 2017 Clearly, Laike agreed with her that the two of them needed to get back to the den and get to sleep. A yawn parted his jaws, and then afterward parted her own - yawns were contagious, after all. Or perhaps she was just way too sleepy. Both could be the case - and most likely were. So she just bounced a little on her paws, occasionally straying just a bit from the path they were on when she got distracted, but Laike did well to keep her on track. He even went as far as to promise that they would find more fireflies the next day - or night, she supposed, because the glowbugs didn't seem to show up in the daytime, as far as she knew. Regardless, she would hold him to that promise, even if he believed she might not remember. He was certainly in for a rude awakening the next morning when she would proceed to immediately hold him to his promise. Also, his expectations of sleeping without a pup curled up pressing into his flank would be completely unmet. { fade }
