RE: confidence - Corsair - Oct 31, 2017 Without a moment's hesitation, Corsair ran after Mabel, chasing her through the foliage and into the small clearing. He was so focused on Mabel that he didn't even notice the other wolves until Mabel came to a stop and he slid into her, his wet fur slapping against her's with a loud squelch. His mouth open to ask her what in the world she was doing, he cut himself off as his eyes caught up and registered what was happening. This must be them!, he realized with excitement, his wet and muddy tail now happily waving back and forth. Mabel had already made her introduction - eloquent as always - but he could see the smile on the younger wolf's face as she looked at him. He smiled right back, completely unaware that she was smiling in amusement at his mud covered fur. A moment later, she had turned her head to look up at her mother, and that's when Mabel decided to strike. RE: confidence - Ayla - Nov 09, 2017 She bit back the urge to cry as Mabel and Corsair continued to splash through the muck, in the end resorting to using her mother a shield from their antics, but it wasn't to last for long. A strangers voice reached her batty ears and her steps slowed while her mother powered forward. Mabel, of course, made herself the centre of attention and Corsair was hot on her heels but Ayla... well she was already soaked, and muddy, and tired, and everyone was being so loud! It was with some curiosity that her eyes fell on the strange girl, taking in the warm hues of her coat, similar to Ayla's, but different, lighter maybe? And now she was interested. Moving closer, while staying towards the back, her tail waved low as she tried to peer around her siblings shoulders to get a better look, shy smile slowly growing as she decided this maybe wasn't so bad after all. That was of course, until Corsair spun rapidly and collided with her while yelling You're it. She aimed a jab at his ribs from beneath him, an angry look in her eye and an annoyed huff leaving her chest, "Nu-uh, You're it!" RE: confidence - Kyna - Dec 26, 2017 [dohtml] Kyna made an amused noise, watching as the pups seemed to try to work out what exactly they were supposed to do, now that everyone had found one another. The wolf’s tail swung in a low arc as she studied her newest siblings – three this time, her poor mother – before offering Aponi a low chuff, greeting, amused. “Revon, this is your grandmother, Aponi. And these are your aunts and uncle…” She trailed off, realizing that she didn’t actually know the names of the newest siblings. It didn’t take long for the trio to break out into a game and the ginger leaned down, nudging her dark daughter to encourage some play. There were no agemates in Aurora Heights, so she hoped Revon would like them. “You have your paws full,” she rumbled, eyes shifting back to her mother. “I hope your pack is helpful.” RE: confidence - Revon - Dec 29, 2017 sorry for posting out of turn, i just wanted to get this up before i forgot <3 @Aponi @Corsair @Ayla @Mabel @Kyna [dohtml]
RE: confidence - Aponi - Jan 08, 2018 @Corsair @Ayla @Kyna Last round for everybody and whoever is last can fade it out [dohtml] The mother watched as the cubs launched into their typical behaviour. Corsair and Mabel led the way and Ayla followed along as normal but the silver wolf watched to see how her granddaughter would react. At first Aponi had to try and smother back a chuckle at the look of bewilderment on Revon’s face. Clearly tag was not a game that the child was acquainted with. But, the game wasn’t exactly hard and after a few blinks she got into it, chasing after her aunts and uncles. It was Kyna’s comments that brought Aponi back to attention, that this whole meeting was not just about the children. Smiling softly, if a bit forced ”Corsair, Ayla and Mabel.” With each name she gestured towards the pup in question, or at least tried to with their constant running. Nodding a little the alpha gave the most polite non-committal answer she could, ”They’re helpful yes, but they still run as all ragged. Our numbers are still small.” Kyna and Aponi always related better as alphas than they did as mother and daughter. RE: confidence - Mabel - Jan 08, 2018 Anyone can feel free to say that Mabel bit them. [dohtml] Mabel had announced herself to the group with her loudest most imposing voice and yet nobody was paying attention. Corsair poked their, niece? And declared she was it before tumbling into Ayla who got mad and shoved him back and said her brother was it. Then Revon stepped forward and tagged Ayla again and said now she was it. Nobody was paying attention to her and they were playing it all wrong! Brown eyes turned up to her mother ready to voice her displeasure but even the silver wolf wasn’t paying attention to them. This was all going horribly wrong. Anger bubbled up in her gut and threatened to bubble over but she tried to keep it down within her. She knew how upset her mother would be if she ruined this meeting with everybody and she didn’t want to be grounded again. Even worse would be the walk home if Kyna got mad, the queen would snap at her heels the whole way. But if anybody even so much as bumped into Mabel they were going to get bit, and they were going to get bit hard. RE: confidence - Kyna - Jan 14, 2018 [dohtml] “Mm. I understand. Loyalty is a difficult commodity to come by.” It was not something she had appreciated as a yearling, had not appreciated when panic struck and she’d bolted from Oak Tree Bend. Now that wolves seemed to come and go like the wind, well, Kyna knew the hardships her mother must have faced. Winter was still far away, though. She could only hope that Aurora Heights would grow by then. With one eye watching over the pups as they dashed and played in the forest, Kyna broke the silence again. “You are welcome in the Heights at any time. Your mate, your children too.” Allies were allies, and family was family. That was all there was to it. RE: confidence - Ayla - Jan 28, 2018 She knew that look, the one her sister wore when things weren't going her way. She might not have been interested in a game of tag but with Ayla apparently it and Corsair and Revon aware of the fact and keeping their distance, Mabel made the perfect target, even if she did expect to feel teeth in response. Well, there were worse things to endure she supposed, with the ghost of a grin on her lips as she barreled closer. If she was quick enough, she could land a jab on her pale sibling and duck behind their mother, only risking a tug to her tail in retaliation, if she timed it really well, she'd escape that too and Mabel would be stuck as it. |
