Trust your heart if the seas catch fire
Aegir Sørenson

Aegir has always wondered how his Da had lost his eye. He knew that wolves were supposed to be born with two, he himself had a pair and so did his Ma. So he had lost them in a fight? That answered one question, but encouraged so many others to form in his mind. Who did he fight? What were they fighting over? Did he win? Aegir wanted to ask now, but he was a smart boy and knew that if he did he would ruin the moment. It was nice here, with his Da, the last thing he wanted to do was make him sad.

He wasn't quite sure about the whole joints thing-but who was he question his Grandma(?)-but he was glad that his Da and maybe even his Ma would teach him how to fight one day. Being the only child he didn't have any siblings to rough and tumble with. So he'd made do with sticks and whatever food his parents had brought him. A dead rabbit was fair game, it couldn't fight back, of course, but that didn't stop the Little Dragon from tossing it about and pinning it down on the ground.

The prospect of having a proper fighting buddy-aside from his Ma, who allowed him to 'tackle' her on occasion- was more than enough to make his tail wag so fast it blurred.

It seemed as though Da was pulling out all the stops! As he went onto bring up the topic of hunting. He'd never been himself, whenever he was hungry one of the bigs would return with scraps of food to fill his rumbling belly. But it sure sounded a lot of fun! Fishing to! Oh he was a real lucky boy! His Ma and Da were the best by far...Except when he was throwing a tantrum, then they weren't. They were the worst.

"I wanna go! Tha' sounds fun!"A lot better than wandering around and trying to entertain himself when the bigs were busy, doing whatever they did during the day. Leaning against his Da's side, Aegir nuzzled into his soft brown coat. It was true his Da wasn't as touchy-feely as his Ma, but that would never be enough to stop the Little Dragon from wanting to cuddle him. Never ever ever."Luv yah Da."He mumbled, for the big dragon's ears only.

On the lake, the fireflies continued to beam and flit about. Aegir's gaze remained on the tiny bugs, but he never pulled away from his Father's side. This was their moment, their place and he would stay like that until his Da told him it was time to leave.

Fade.
