Kip smirked and splayed out beside him, shamelessly taking up all the room her small body would allow. She stretched and yawned, laying on her side. "Maybe so," she agreed in reference to the bad wolves slaughtering a rabbit. "A pitiful offering if you think about it. I'd be much more fitting for a sacrifice." She sent him a dubious look and rolled her pale green eyes with a scoff. "The only protection I would need you for is to outrun you so the bad thing could get you first." Honestly, this boy was just setting himself up for disaster. Leaving himself open for attack, as it were. "But no. Would you believe it if I told you that you were the only wolf out here I can tolerate?" She hardly gave him chance to respond before rolling over with her back to him. "Night, Odin!"
Perhaps that would give him something to think about while she slept peacefully.
