RE: run for cover - Revon - Feb 13, 2018 @Adeltra @Morganna @Wendigo [dohtml] Her cousin wasn’t buying it. Good. The scarlet Archer was ready to go home, for she missed the rugged mountain terrain and the open sky above. She felt suffocated among all the trees, along with the dark thief’s presence, and longed for the company of her parents. Once she returned she wouldn’t be stepping off the Heights for quite some time—if she returned. How were her cousin and aunt going to get her away from her captor? She frowned, her expression still frantic as she turned to Morganna’s voice. Revon wasn’t sure if her aunt was buying the thief’s story or if she was playing dumb in an attempt to calm the situation. Wendigo was outnumbered but she still did not know if there were others lurking nearby. She had not seen much of the pale wolf who had lured her down the mountain, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t still around… waiting… watching… Wait—what did Wendigo mean that the Ridge and Aurora weren’t on good terms? Revon was aware that there had been a disagreement during a hunt but she thought they were rectifying the situation… weren’t they planning a joint hunt? Her brows snapped together in confusion as she glanced at her cousin, her frown deepening. Something wasn’t right. I think that’s a good idea, Auntie, she responded quickly, almost too eagerly. Her voice was soft from lack of use and for a moment she didn't recognize it. I’d like to see it too. RE: run for cover - Adeltra - Feb 20, 2018 [dohtml] The words that came from Morganna’s maw shocked the girl. She turned to look at her cousin, brows creased. Was she actually buying this guy’s story? Surely she’d seen the look of panic on Revon’s face and the protective stance of Adeltra. They were just pups, true, but did the woman put so little stock in their intelligence to think they were simply overreacting? A part of her was hurt by this and she almost told the dark Archer to stick her judgements in a place for a later date. They could take this wolf, she knew it. With Morganna’s experience and two almost yearlings the man couldn’t possibly stand a chance. That was, until Revon agreed. Her head whipped to look at the other girl, fighting with indecision before finally giving in. Fine, if they wanted to let him tag along then whatever. Wasn’t like she had any say in it it seemed. Sure, that sounds great, she said, turning in the direction of the Lagoon. As she did she gave the man a sharp look, tail giving a sharp flick to let him know that she wasn’t buying what he was giving. She didn’t like any of this one bit. RE: run for cover - Morganna - Mar 03, 2018 Fade on @Wendigo?
[dohtml]baby I'm back now, feelin' how I used to feel Morganna Archer
The man was convincing, she'd give him that, but it all fell apart with a glance at her niece. Her face maintained it's genial smile, noting Adeltra's reluctance but internally unleashing a sigh of relief when Revon picked up on her intention and played along. Even if she wasn't happy about it, the Ridge girl was willing to go along with it and Morganna already knew she would have to give the girl an explanation, but first they had to get home. "Right this way then!" She declared rather chipper and with far more annunciation than she would usually bother with. She was already running a mental inventory, Sovanna should be on the meadow scouting out the herds, Pietro would probably be scavenging for plants somewhere to their west in the Cedarwood, Skoll would be sleeping but Renier, Tikhon and Deadlock should all be close at hand when they returned. Celandine and Maeve should be close by too. She could only hope that together, they would be enough. [/dohtml] RE: run for cover - Wendigo - Mar 06, 2018 [dohtml] Everyone seemed to be in agreeance with Revon’s aunt, and it wasn’t like Wendigo had much of a choice at this point. If he tried to run he would surely be attacked or tracked down and if he followed along he ran the same risk. Internally he cursed his sister for making such a mess before leaving but outwards he appeared to be ever the gentleman. Smiling towards this auntie he bowed his head respectfully, ”Lead the way, we’ll probably have better luck finding you now that we have an expert.” The words were emphasized by a hearty laugh, but inside his stomach sunk in unease.
