RE: But Death, It Caught You in a Bad Mood - Neha - Mar 02, 2018

She stood firm, unwilling to back down to this insolent little insect. All she had done was start some harmless small talk and offer a wise suggestion. Not being in the best of moods, Neha certainly could have phrased it more nicely. This male, as far as she could tell who was a loner, took it upon himself to get too close and to press her boundary further. Add in a bad attitude on not just his end but hers as well, and the stage was set for conflict. He issued one last threat and the Vuesain welcomed it openly.

"Looks like someones momma didn't teach them basic manners..." She rumbled. What a potty mouth he had on him! Even she had been raised better to at least mind her her language. She'd just have to force it all on the boy herself. Dark lips peeled back into a silent snarl, ears pricking forward in a show of intimidation. She made a false lunge for his scruff, but would allow her shoulder to collide firmly against his chest, should he be too slow to back up. It was little more than a shove, just to get the point across that Neha wasn't fooling around.

RE: But Death, It Caught You in a Bad Mood - Daighre I - Mar 02, 2018

‘Looks like someone’s momma didn't teach them basic manners…’

What the fuck did that even mean? He didn’t get a chance to dissect the garbage spewing from her mouth before she was lunging forward. A snarl tore through his throat and he reared backwards. Like hell was he letting her touch him. Bitch probably had some kind of incurable disease with the way she was acting. But his paws slipped and he didn’t move fast enough before her shoulder was colliding with his chest.

His back paws dug into the ground and he pushed forward. She was skin and bones. If she thought she was pushing him over she was wrong. Dead wrong. His jaws parted and he aimed to sink his teeth into whatever he could reach of her face or neck.

The time for spewing insults back and forth at one another was over. The young male had lit the flame that was her wrath and Neha was only too happy to tend it. Her tactic worked. He stumbled back, allowing her the momentum she needed to send her shoulder jarring into his chest. She hadn't really expected him to react with the fury that he did.

They were both wolves that had been pushed too far, thanks to the others doing. As jaws parted to seek ahold of the skin of her face, she reeled back, lips twisted into an ugly snarl. The sting of teeth pinching against the delicate flesh of her cheek soon registered. Instinctively narrowing her eyes into slits for protection. He wanted to play dirty by grabbing her face? Fine. Her teeth may be useless at the moment, but she had other tools at her disposal. She swatted at his face with one ivory fore paw, to coax him to let go. The nails on a wolfs paw weren't nearly as sharp or as deadly as that as say, a mountain lions, but they could still do some damage.

RE: But Death, It Caught You in a Bad Mood - Daighre I - Mar 02, 2018

His teeth sank into soft flesh and that was all he needed to start biting down harder and shaking. And he would have kept going if her paws didn’t reach up to bat at his face. What the hell did she think she was? A goddamn cat?

Whatever. His jaws released the skin of her face and he did his best to pull his head away while his ears rolled back against his skull.

If she was batting at his face that meant one or more of her paws were off the ground. His own back paws sank down into the snow and his grip might have been shit but he had size and balance on his side. And with as much intensity as he could manage—Daighre reared onto his back legs to wrap his front paws around her shoulders and neck. It wasn’t long before he was bearing forward in hopes of getting her onto the ground and beneath him.

Whoever ended up on top won.
