RE: Meet me by the lake pretty boy - Solas - Feb 28, 2018 [dohtml]
She watched him approach but she didn't move. Which made it that much easier for him to swing his head over and do the nibbling. A squeal was the immediate reacting and Solas snickered as she moved up and away from him. That had almost been too easy. She hadn't moved far away and he was still able to whisper that mocking word in her ear. The stormy male was quite pleased with himself even though she was glaring at him but his cat ate the canary grin remained. She had started it.
Her glare held for a moment and then she lost it and started giggling. Solas blinked. He had expected some form of punishment not for her to start giggling and smiling at him. It became apparent that her giggling and laughing was contagious. It was only a matter of time before he was chuckling as well. No fair! That just made him laugh harder as an actually smile crossed his face. A paw was placed against his muzzle to give him a gentle push. The touch was surprising but he let her move his head with the motion. He was still grinning as she repeated the word that had started this all and he had to agree as his tail began to sway behind him. Ouch.
When was the last time that he had laughed like that? He couldn't remember and now wasn't that sad? Well, he could start making up on that as long as Tulip was around he figured. He wasn't sure he would be able to drop his guard as much with the others, but Tulip? Sure he could. Eyeing the wolf in question he was quick to notice her frown and he tipped his head as he watched her. She started to ask him something but then she paused and suddenly he wondered what she was having trouble spitting out. It must be pretty bad or embarrassing with how long she paused.
He was wrong he realized as she did get the question out. She wanted to know why he wasn't happy with her? It was only because of her first failed sentence that he was able to piece it together. She wanted to know why he didn't like her? What would have given her the idea that he didn't like her? This was only their second interaction so... He sighed. It had been the first one, hadn't it? The one where he had suggested the hunt and mentioned she might steal while with them.
I just... He started then paused. Great, it was his turn to have issues with words. It's not that I'm unhappy with you. I just don't like taking chances and the few thieves I met while I was loner where rather unpleasant. He told her as he tried to keep his mind from the past and the one he had lived with his mother. Then again I'm not overly friendly with anyone on first meetings. He mused as he sat down not realizing that he had actually spoken the words out loud. [/dohtml] RE: Meet me by the lake pretty boy - Tulip - Mar 01, 2018 [dohtml] Maniacal laughter seemed to take over the two, a girl toothy grin spread across the yearling's lips. Tulip giggled a little harder at the now repetitive word, watching him turn with her gentle touch. Glowy eyes looking into his ambers playfully, though the girl wasn't quite sure of the concept of play. She had played before, but only in secret. If Grevious were to catch the- Tulip stopped her thoughts, pushing them far back within her mind. That wasn't important anymore, especially right now. Solas was giving her a funny titled head look that caused her gush with embarrassment, chin titling down with a meek expression on her face. The girl was sober now from the sudden turn of seriousness in their conversation. Of course the shift was her fault, but the girl wanted to understand his dislike. Tulip herself didn't dislike Solas, just got irritated with him. He made her feel funny and he talked a little too much, but she didn't dislike him. At least, not no more if she had before. The anticipation of a response took hold of the girl, nibbled at her anxious form. The yearling was surely nervous, for she didn't want to hear words confirming her thoughts. Tulip wasn't quite sure why that was, but she sure didn't want to hear them. Her little heart seemed to beat louder than normal within her chest. The girl started to wonder if it'd find a way to escape, the pounding echoing annoyingly so in her ears. *Please say it's not true.* She thought, searching his ambers. When he did reply it seemed like he was struggling in trying to tell her something important, so the girl thought back to Kajika and how he reassured her. Timidly she approached him with submissive posture, nose moving to his face. Gently, if he'd allow, the girl pressed into his cheek before offering a shy lick. "Tulip listen to Olas." She said in a soothing tone before taking a seat close to him. Like. That had been the oh so simple word she had wanted earlier. The girl nodded at his words, taking them into careful consideration. Though she wasn't sure, the man looked...sad? Or in some form upset. Wanting to make his blues go away she scooted closer to rest her head on his shoulder briefly if he'd allow, "It okay, Olas." She tried to comfort him, offering up another shy lick to his cheek. She could understand, she supposed. It made sense to hold a grudge...even if his suggestion had been harsh. At the mention of him not being overly friendly when meeting new faces she cracked a small smile, "Olas tease?" She asked him. Her little smile turned into a crooked smirk, tail thumping against the ground. He did seem to be the type to come off rough at first. However, Tulip was sure now that he was not the bad guy she had thought he had been only moments ago. He was still annoying, but only because she thought of him as such. Maybe...maybe he was a good annoying if not a little frustrating.
"speech" FALLEN TREE Cove [/b][/b] RE: Meet me by the lake pretty boy - Solas - Mar 03, 2018 [dohtml] Worry and unease seemed to emanate from Tulip as she waited for his response. For him, that meant that finding the right words took that much longer especially when she kept looking at him with a searching look. Solas felt like he was being inspected for something and he wasn't sure what she was looking for. All he could do was try and answer the question that she had given him. He started to speak and then paused. How to say without coming off as harsh as she seemed to think he was?
Tulip's form slipped back into a submissive form and Solas eyed her. Hadn't they already gone over this? She was approaching him now though and he remained still wondering what she was up to. There was no mischief her that he could see as she reached up to gently place a shy lick on his cheek. His mind went briefly blank as she told him that she would listen to him in a soothing voice. Well, this was a first for him and he honestly had no idea how to react to it. Most of the time nobody moved into his personal place to touch him let alone place a kiss on him. So all he could do was answer the question and look away because he could feel his face heating.
She seemed to be able to pick up on some of his emotions as he mentioned being a loner and placed her head on his shoulder and gave him another kiss. That distracted him from those thoughts that was for sure. He still couldn't figure her out though. Sure she was trying to comfort him but still, she had obviously been displeased with him, and he was still a bit baffled by her. Just what was she up to? But if he thought that she was going to try something then why didn't he push her away and walk away? That question honestly concerned him even more.
It wasn't until she spoke again that he realized the echo of his own words hung his ears. He had said that aloud then hadn't he? I wasn't teasing but if you want me to... He told her his voice trailing off. She was pressed rather close to him and even though his face still felt warm he twisted his head back over to blow softly in her ear if she didn't move first. [/dohtml] RE: Meet me by the lake pretty boy - Tulip - Mar 03, 2018 (Since this is the 13th reply feel free to fade, or take after her if daring, lol...sorry for short reply.) Solas's words caught the girl's attention, the breath of air causing her to shake her head slightly annoyed. A small gasp with a fake look of being offended followed as she moved to gently nip his ear. A girlish giggle left her lips as she muttered "Ouch" playfully and put a paw on his shoulder. Her tiny frame froze, her face seemingly caught mid laugh. Tulip noticed at that moment of how close they were, only Moon and Ka were ever that close to her in a positive manner. Well, expect for Maria and her brother. The girl stared into his fiery golden eyes and the baffled expression set upon his dark face. They were so close that she even took note of a small hardy visible scar on his right cheek. Her heart beat fastened to a loud thud. "Uh...um..." Nothing sensible. The girl would have blushed deeply if human, her face alit with a strange heat instead. She was confused and irritated by her puzzlement now. Meekly the girl scooted back and stood up. "I-I...I take rab to med den!" She shouted at him in a frenzy, not meaning for her voice to have been so loud. Then in a hurry she trotted over to the small rabbit, picked it up within her jaws, and raced off to the medical den. She hoped by doing so she'd escape the odd emotions. The girl was embarrassed now, to say the least. How was she supposed to talk to him after this?! They were pack mates, so they would have to. *Why does Solas have to be so gosh darn annoying and...and...difficult!* RE: Meet me by the lake pretty boy - Solas - Mar 03, 2018 [dohtml]
After he had blown into her ear he watched with amusement as she shook her head. Then she let out a gasp as she turned to him with an offended look on her face. She then to his surprise went to nip at his own ear which flicked out at the contact. He should have realized that she would only take so much of his teasing before she retaliated in kind. 'Ouch' she muttered as she moved to place a paw on his shoulder. Solas watched her curiously. What was she going to try now? Nip at his ear again?
He waited to see what happened next but she had gone still and was staring at his face now. Close enough that he saw her eyes go to the scar and then to meet his own gaze once more. She had some pretty yellow eyes, didn't she? Then she spoke and his ears pricked forward but whatever she was trying to say wasn't anything he could understand and then she moved back and away from him. Solas tipped his head curiously. Then she shouted and his ears flattened against his skull. He watched in mute surprise as she snatched up her rabbit and took off.
Solas sat there for a moment wondering what just happened and why she had started to yell at him again. Then he got up with a snort of baffled amusement and grabbed the piece of rabbit that she had left for him. Well, at least she had given him breakfast before she had decided to run off.
